This card in the 512mb flavor operates really well. Just don't skimp when it comes to cpu and ram. If all you do is surf the web and watch vids, this is fine with a low-cost cpu. If you want to game, then don't skimp. I purchased my 5850's for eyefinity and it is awsome on 3 22" monitors. Do I use that daily? Heck no, I do use these in xfire all day on a single 22" with anti everthing turned up to some degree quickly. Then again I didn't skimp on cpu and ram. 1090t, ddr3 gskill 8gigs. That's what we all want suitable? The high end, high overclocking cpu and the 8gigs of ddr3 ram.....appropriate? Then these cards in xfire will suprise you. My children computer systems can preserve up with me, but not out do me. They use the 5750. Nothing at all. My 5850's with a couple challenging drives and a complete tower worth of case fans are utilizing an 850w psu and these xfired with my 5 hard drives and four 120mm case fans run on a 650w psu. If I didn't have five tough drives and a bunch of fans, then a lil 500w would function, but I'd use a 550w personally. See where I'm going with this? The lil card that could....provided you spec out the rest of your rig proper. Lots of variables in developing a gaming rig. What is your net speed? Can a nic card improve gaming? The list goes on and on. Everthing functions in tandem......skimp right here or there and you shed some thing in the procedure. The finish outcome is great though. I really like gaming on the web, on a pc I spec'd and built myself. I appreciate all the pitfalls and the expertise they bring. If you don't, obtain xbox. I'll say it once again......the cpu and memory on the mobo matters! Xfire these and they will kick but. It's software raid, but if you're scared of that, then go with 5750's. These don't look double wide, but they are, you will lose a slot. Some firm on this web-site does make a single slot config, but not for this cost. If these in the 1gig flavor seem for much less then 75 bones, go for it. I never have had a issue 1 with this 512mb card. I didn't skimp on cpu and ram.......immediately after I purchased the cpu and ram I couldn't afford the 5870, but I discovered out I didn't want as well. If you're into crysis, don't ask me. If you're into call of duty and bfbc2 and lfd2......xfire these and you'll be happy soon after not skimping on the cpu and ram. If not these, then I know the 5750's and 5770's would be awsome. Just xfire someting in the low finish line up......if not, get a single large card. That's the key......power supply and vid cards. All comes down to cost.

Sorry all, I didn't purchase it here, I had points saved up from a diverse internet site that allowed me to get substantially cheaper. I use windows 7 pro 64bit and this card gets a 7. with 4gigs of adata ram that rates 7.1 and an amd AM3 240 regor processor at 2.8ghz and that rates 6.four None, I set the motherboard setting to manage power to it and off it went after the significant driver download. Oh, L4D2 gave me a warning, steam did anyway, that the vid card may possibly not play the game properly, but they lied....it plays fantasticly. I was using the onboard video from a biostar mcp61, nvidia chipset, and it did well for an on the web rig. I purchased this due to the fact it's the biggest card in the 5000 series lineup that will fit in my Rosewill microATX case. This card rocks L4D2 with 8x anti and filtering on a 22inch hannsG monitor at 1680x1050. I was worried about that res with 2x, but 8x anti and filtering operate well with this card. I built the complete rig for 340 bones with parts bought right here on the egg on sale more than time. This card was the only factor not bought right here, but would have cost only 25 bones a lot more if I bought here. A penny saved is a penny..........never mind. Anyway, I know this will have no trouble operating call of duty or BFBC2 or such games. My lil build is tiny and leads me to believe that the 5750 is probably promising also, but I would have to use it in a mid tower.

Went from a Geforce 6800 GS to this. HD looks so a lot superior, youngsters play WOW and TF2 and it works very well.Extremely quiet, and does not take up a lot of area. For the cash I spent I am thrilled with the efficiency. I do not know how it would do with the a lot more graphics intensive games(that the youngsters and I don't play) But for Hd and what we do it is excellent. not card for heavy gamers? Initial time I purchased a sapphire product. Really pleased so far, drivers worked wonderful from the start off, appears to be a well made and designed product

Runs quiet, is tiny, doesn't need a power provide better than 400w to run. Drivers don't operate. The RC drivers function greater than the beta ten.1 drivers! The ten.1 driver fails to install correctly, so I had to revert back to the RC drivers which give me vertical lines across the screen. Amazing! I would be extremely cautious about buying any ATI merchandise coming out now giving the vertical lines and black screen issues noticed in all across the board-the 5600 series, the 5700 series, and the 5800 series. If the new drivers aren't fixing these concerns, it could be a hardware related concern. This leads me to think ATI is just churning out poorly-produced cards in an effort to get industry share from Nvidia. I will be RMAing this card these days for fear of the vertical lines getting a hardware concern.

Card worked fine for 1st two months. I initially wrote a raving review for it. Had to RMA it final week to Althon Micro who does the ᡖ day warranty help. I am waiting for a repair/replacement. Card randomly started failing with blank or cross-hatched pattern requiring technique reboot. Certainly the card. two operating systems and many drivers used. Nvidia card is back in method and operating fine. I hope I don't have a single of the "nightmare" RMA scenarios that I've read here.

Great bang for the buck – even devoid of the MIR, DirectX 11 capabilities – even though you won’t be employing tessellation in games as this would murder your framerate, VGA connection if you’ve got an older monitor, no PCIe energy cable required – just pop it in your inexpensive off-the-shelf Computer (mine’s a Dell Inspiron 546 with a 300W PSU) and *poof* it’s a budget gaming rig, good cooler – allows for ten-15% core and memory overclock and Nonetheless never ever goes above 60 C, if you clock it a bit too high like I did, it has a great feature that will automatically shut the card down and restart it inside a minute or two – no want to be concerned about damaging the card, or the hassle of restarting your laptop. NONE Overclocking is easy in CCC Overdrive – got mine perfectly stable at 850MHz core, and 1150MHz memory! Overclocked at complete load, still only draws 65W or so. Pairs perfectly with my Athlon II X2 250 and LED monitor - most games run smoothly maxed-out at 1440x900. Some games (Bulletstorm, Bioshock, Just Lead to two, Dragon Age II) I have to turn off AA to get above 30fps, but even Mass Impact two and GRID run maxed at 45fps with 8X MSAA.

Upgrade my onboard graphics in my HP. Went from 5 fps in CoD to 15 (low settings). Right after I upgrade to quad core I can get 40fps on all high settings, 1400x900 resolution. CoD Black ops Demands quad core or hex core!Runs source games max settings and resolution no challenge at all. Runs WoW max settings except for shadow quality which is on medium at 35ish fps. Definitely not a best end card, not rating it down although. Excellent card if you want to upgrade to a mid-range card. I've heard it's the ideal chipset that doesn't call for one more energy pin.

Excellent card for the cost. It's maxed all of the games I've tried so far, which consist of Team Fortress 2, Fallout 3, and The Sims 3, among others. It doesn't go above 55*C and the fan speed hardly ever goes above 55% on these games. Due to this, the card is quiet; I don't notice a distinction from my old, heatsink-only card to this one. It is a low wattage card, and it doesn't need a connector from the power supply. I've owned the card for about a month, and it hasn't let me down however. Not really a con, but ATI Overdrive's auto-tune only recommends overclocking it up to 780-785MHz, as opposed to the stock 775MHz. Other 5000 series cards can be overclocked drastically. It is a dual-profile card, which means the fan on it causes it to take "two slots". This could be a con if you can't fit it or have to take something else out. This makes a good low-price card for a budget Pc or those with older hardware that need an upgrade. It won't max the newest of the new like Negative Firm two or anything, but it ought to at least play every single game out there decently. It scores a 6.7 on the Windows Encounter Index test.

Inexpensive. Effective for the income. No added power cable necessary. Runs fairly cool. Effortless install. No troubles. DX11. None yet. I bought this an upgrade for my ancient card to play WoW Cataclysm. Getting its the only game I play I didn't genuinely care about the efficiency in other games. It is ideal for WoW. I run every thing on Ultra except shadows which I turn down slightly. Even though raiding 25 man I'm getting more than 60fps during combat. I see others complaining about the drivers but the install for me was painless on my Windows 7 64bit, AMD Phenom II X4 955, 4GB DDR3.

I put this system in one of the DIY kits NewEgg had for sale a few weeks back. It's not the most recent and greatest, but I enjoy the low power consumption, and the only game I seriously play, FFXI, is running as smooth as silk (something I by no means had with my nVidia GeForce 9600 GT.) I also like the variety of video outs - I have two mismatched LCD monitors, 1 VGA and one DVI, and they're both running happily together on this new card. NewEgg put a บ rebate on it two weeks soon after I bought it. Unfair! Other than that, no complaints about the functionality so far. If you are a casual gamer, this is almost certainly the ideal video card you can get for the cost. I consider myself in the "casual gamer" category if only due to the fact the only games I play regularly don't demand robust graphics. So far it's handled everything I've thrown at it, which includes The Sims 3, without having breaking a sweat. For the next couple of months anyway, this will be the video card I recommend to anybody who just desires an easy to install video card that supports several monitors and which can handle most games that are played right now.

Rebate was a piece of cake to fill out and send. Efficiently dropped price to ๑. Difficult to beat that deal. Has a nice cooler and the driver install with enclosed driver CD was painless. NewEgg dropped price ŭ the day immediately after I ordered mine. LOL Working with this card with an AMD Phenom II 555 3.2 GHz OC'd to 3.4GHz, Asrock 880GMH/USB3, 4GB GSkill DDR3 1600 and an Asus 21.5" HDMI/LED backlight display. Ordered the card on Tuesday. Arrived on Friday. I right away installed the card on my Biostar TA785GE motherboard, reinstalled Catalyst Control Center 10 and it situated the card and installed the drivers. My Windows Encounter Index for Graphics and Gaming Graphics went from 3.7 with my HD4300 to five.9. I haven't had any complications given that and graphics on my few 3D games are smooth and clear at the highest settings. It certain would be good if I could Hybrid Crossfire this card with the motherboard's onboard HD4200 but that's additional a con for ATI then the board I suppose. I haven't necessary to try overclocking the card so I can't speak to how that works. My ฟ rebate was approved on Nov 29 but nonetheless hasn't been sent according to the rebate status information. It's Jan 30. The doc stated to wait 8-10 weeks That's about now so we'll see. Nonetheless even with out the rebate I really feel the ๢ I spent on this card was a bargain.

These are the ideal small cards for non gamers. They do play games, don't get me wrong. My son plays some sort of WOW form game with it all the time. It even plays LFD2 at 1680x1050 quite quite well. If you want to play BFBC2 or COD then I would get a 5750 minimum for those. If you have lots of ram and a excellent processor, then this will carry out above the 4xxx series cards in the identical class quickly. In fact if you are making use of a 4xxx series card along the similar line, then this would be a very good upgrade!! Only 512mb, but like I stated, if you're not into gaming, this will be excellent. I haven't tried the 1gig cards so I can't comment on the distinction. None I generally put these in lil low cost builds, the ones I make for people not into gaming. Lil micro boards with one pcie slot kinda builds to upgrade away from the onboard video stuff. 1 of my son's utilizes a 5750 and the other this card, and both seem to play this type of WOW form game very well. I have two 5850's in xfire for my BFBC2 and COD and of course they can't be surpassed unless you invest hundreds more then I did. Tee hee! The 1 kid with the 5750 likes it much better then this, he said he noticed an improvement. So if you don't want to game, get this. If you want to game look upward towards the 5750 and 5770 and beyond. 5830 looks to be an all around excellent card for lite to moderate gaming.

I believe its the PSU that is old and cant give enough juice ... I have heard others altering the motherboard and it solved their dilemma ... dont think it was the GPU Cant beat NEWEGG.COM with its quickly delivery and eggcelent consumer service ... AMD customer service was wonderful as properly ... did not like that I had to return it and wished HP would put greater excellent systems together and not the bare min needed ...
