-Exceptional Airflow. Keeps a GTX 470 @ 65 Degrees in 3DMark 11, with fans on low-Fans are quiet on low-The complete case is very nicely-built, and looks wonderful. The pictures don't do it justice-In between dust filters on all intakes and the positive-pressure style, the whole case is pretty significantly dust-proof-Nice side window-The included cable ties were a good touch -The region behind the motherboard tray isn't wide sufficient to actually hide all of your cables - I had to tuck mine behind the fan in the bottom of the case. -The 5.25" bay covers don't truly fit with the rest of the case-The Velcro mounting technique for the PSU is useless - just screw it in, it holds fine-Expensive, but you get what you pay for. If you don't care about looks, I'd get the Raven This wasn't a con for me, but it may well be for some : As a side impact of the motherboard orientation, the case does not work properly with particular video card coolers - reference Fermi cards haven't don't appear to be affected, but I can't speak for anything else. I would advise researching your card prior to purchasing this case.

Overall built very nicely. No one will walk off with this 1. It is heavy but I wanted 1 that would stay put. The Suitable side window and back of the motherboard on leading layout is a winner in my book. The difficult drive bays are all plastic and didn't come with enough distinctive screws for mounting all 5 hard drives. Tool less design is only good on the correct or installation side of the case. It is a small pricey but you get what you pay for!!!

The 90 degree rotation of the keyboard, made this the easiest create that I have ever performed. The routing of the wires is excellent. I didn't have any trouble hiding any of the wire behind the motherboard tray. Great quality. Only 1 hot plug cable consist of with the case. Very first five.25 bay is not tooless and bumps proper up against the first card on the motherboard. You will will need a 90 degree cable. No hot plug drive bay from Silverstone for the five.25 openings. Costly

Comment:
This is a wonderful case, with excellent craftsmanship, really high quality materials and construction and a really revolutionary style. Although installing components in the case i identified myself shaking my head at the basic, but brilliant design, which makes much more and far more sense as you install components into the case. Installation is a breeze, in spite of the lack of a removable motherboard tray. The aforementioned tray has convenient cable management holes everywhere, allowing for excellent cable management choices. This case is a full tower case so it has a huge amount of room to perform with. The acrylic window can be scratched extremely simply. Mine has a miner laceration, but i am fairly confident that it wasn't the result of shipping, but my own heavy handedness, thus no egg loss. I also really feel that the tough drive quick-mounts are rather flimsy. The difficult drives can be wiggled about and don't really feel very secure when slotted into place. Even so, when the tough drive is in the slot that has the hot-swap plate installed, it becomes rock solid, and considering that i program to mount all my difficult drives with stated apparatus i see no cause to dock an egg. This case is large enough to hold an HD 5970, with the removal of a fan grill at the bottom of the case. That implies that it need to fit any video card shorter than 12.2 inches.

My previous mid tower case temps soared soon after I installed a Radeon 4870 (previously had an Nvidia 8600GT). Making use of Core Temp I would see idle temps of 30-35 C and ATI overdrive showed ㅴ C on the GPU. Right after switching everything over to this case with all fans set to low, 17-19 C on the CPU and 50 C for the GPU with the fan speed at ZERO! In other words my case is now slightly below room temperature ࿦ish F). I can hear my Caviar black clicking away but that's the only sound other than the fan whoosh on initial startup. Would have LOVED to get this from Newegg but what's up with having to pay for shipping? ษ on leading of the current cost is too considerably.. with minimal searching you can locate this case for the similar price but with cost-free shipping elseware, and from a incredibly reputable source no much less. I'm nonetheless coming back here for far more, but when did the cost-free shipping disappear? I applied to filter outcomes by cost-free shipping and not consider anything else, but performing that now provides you virtually no selection. SILVERSTONE Fortress Series FT02B-W Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:Top Panel

Pros:Looks, Fit and Finish, Air Cooling
Comment:
Beautiful, well built case, well worth the price. Great for air cooling. Positive pressure and intake filters should help keep the dust out. Top panel is plastic but fits nice and should be OK if removed with care. NCIX did the build and the cable management looks very good.

In my opinion, it is a tank. Heavy, major, robust, and durable. It will totally shield your investment. I have to agree with what Dekorum stated about Charley Chassis, so I won't waste my time. I like the 90 degree twist on the MB, improves airflow. Some have stated that there is not significantly room for cable routing. There won't be if you hurry. Take your time and do it right! Mine is watercooled so the loudest portion on this factor is my pump. I maintain the fans turned down, but even at their highest speed I barely notice them. I know some complain that the MB tray is not removable. In my own opinion, this would be a waste considering that every thing is simply accessible and the window for the CPU bracket had far more room than I required. There is a lot of room for atleast two 5850's as properly as the largest heat sinks if you air cool. I looked into the CM V10 ahead of I settled on watercooling. Not a con for me, but some may possibly be concerned about its weight. Mine did not incorporate the PSU dust filter, but Silverstone is at present working to resolve this problem. I could doc an egg for that, but I'll be nice because they are working with me. OK, I can't keep my mouth shut immediately after all. If men and women are going to criticize a product, then they need to at least own it. It is obvious Charley Chassis has spent quite little time with this case, if any at all. The one comment I do agree with, do your homework just before you create. This will save you time, funds, headache, and respect due to the fact a lot of people blame the producers for their own incompetence.

- Good airflow- Quiet on low-Somewhat quiet on high fans- 90 degree design is exceptional - Cable management is incredibly challenging.- A modular PSU is absolutely needed for excellent cable management. The cost is a bit high. It might be greater for spending budget builders to use the Raven RV02.

fantastic cooling /w a lot of fans /w filtersFlipped motherboard style /w simple access to cards and IO metal drive cage mount strip was bent up on leading corner- there was no cosmetic harm to paint etc., so it was tough to notice. this caused a short to the motherboard that took a although to track down. bent the lip back down with hammer and soft cloth and it's all great now. "Others could also locate this defect" can't access IO without having taking leading cover off- so it just stays off.would have liked door design in front

Cons: Layout may not work for someWater cooling is difficultPrice is high but the quality is worth it

Pros: Quality materialsVery quietExcellent for air-coolingLots of spaceLooks greatNot a tall case at allFans that are included are great
Comment:
I've had this case for about 3 weeks now. It is an amazing case! A very big case but once you get it down and set up it isn't as tall as a normal full tower case because of the layout so in that regard it doesn't look to big.The materials are of amazing quality, worth the price.Airflow is excellent temps dropped from my CM690IINo vibration from the fansNoise dampening material really helps with the quietness of the case.Only thing that may be hard is if you want a big rad in there you couldn't really fit it... 120 at the top would be great through for a CPU loop.

SILVERSTONE Fortress Series FT02B-W Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: Fan resonance/vibration I can't get rid of. Needed to extend a couple cables to reach. Top CD rom slot won't fit longer drives. Needs drive bezels to make it look right. Very poor service if you want parts (from the company they sent me too.)

Pros: Nice looking case, seems to cool well. On low is nice and quiet. Nice design with MB rotated.
Comment:
I modded the door, which didn't go well when my saw broke but I had no problem buying a new panel as I screwed it up, but the company Silverstone put me in touch with to get a new one is a scam (SundialMicro in the USA.) They wanted extra fees, overcharged for shipping, etc which Silverstone had no idea about. It would have cost me literally over 1/2 the price of a new case to just buy a new panel. Even if I bought I panel, I still have to pay to have the fans rma'd as they vibrate and resonate through the case (more so on high,) which I couldn't get rid of. I won't be spending anything to fix this case now mainly because of the bad service from this other company which has put me off Silverstone. I'll buy a different SS I know (this is my 5th SS case, but the most disappointing of any I've ever gotten anywhere,) or one from another manufacturer... :(

SILVERSTONE Fortress Series FT02B-W Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:Tight space for rear panel cable managementTight space for PSU mounting, and top front panel DVD BurnerVery HeavyExpensive

Pros:90 degree motherboard mounting Motherboard back plate opening behind CPU Foam padded interiorHeavy duty plexiglass window
Comment:
This is one sexy looking case.Very good cooling, with the three 180mm cooling fans (d 18 to 27 dBA) mounted on the bottom of the case. They come complete with their own removable dust filters. The Top of the case pops off to reveal the rear input/output connectors for the motherboard. Very handy if you are constantly making connections. I really like the styling of this case and the design is near perfect, however there are a few things that could be improved.I couldn't mount my power supply with the fan taking air from the back vent because of the PSU fan grill sticking out. I had to turn it around, but I don't see where it makes a whole lot of difference.Another gripe I have is with the limited amount of space behind the case. It is very hard to fit bulky connectors and there could stand to be a larger gap between the case and the panel. In fact, I would highly recommend buying the add on Silverstone CP05 SATA2 Hotswap Cables. The case only comes with one, and attaching regular Sata and power cables is very difficult and could even damage your hard drive logic boards once the panel is jammed on.There is also very limited space for connectors behind the top front bay for a DVD burner or such.Other than these instillation difficulties I encountered while installing my new hardware, I was very pleased with the finished result. One classy case indeed! Please check out my You Tube video review;http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLPS3BGuEF4

SILVERSTONE Fortress Series FT02B-W Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:-Depth. Very deep. Make sure your desk can accommodate such a case.-Vent cover takes more than a tug to come off. If tucked in against a wall, removing the top safely involves carefully gripping both sides to prevent breakage-Usage of 180mm fans; difficult to replace (atm), with limited availability for the 500/700/1000rpm model.-Hotswap bay uses a standard molex for power, instead of sata connectors; a bit irritating-Externally mounted window; breaks the flow of the case-Only 2 front mounted USB ports, with the standard 3.5mm speaker + mic ports. WHY, SILVERSTONE, WHY.

Pros:+Plenty of locations to route cables+A gap is left between the rearmost 180mm fan and the case wall, which is perfect for stuffing extra PSU cables +Wonderfully solid and well crafted; tight manufacturing tolerances+Deepened area for DVI cables, etc+Secure tool-less 5.25" mounts+Hot-swap 3.25"+Included 180mm fans are acceptably quiet when set to 700rpm (low); the noise signature increases only a bit when set to 1000rpm (high)+Excellent air cooling: TRUE + i7 920 + Gigabyte GA-EX58 UD5; 8800gt w/ HR-03gt; temps for cpu are around 30 degrees at idle and max ~45 at load. GPU temps stay from low 30's to high 40's at load.
Comment:
Summarized above. The weaknesses are more cautionary than outright problems. The indirect nature of airflow in this case contributes to a significant temperature reduction with less noise, when compared to my previous case, the Antec 200.

SILVERSTONE Fortress Series FT02B-W Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:The case itself has no weaknesses but there were a couple of small problems. One clip on the rear filter broke (Silverstone is replacing). The front audio plug was too short to reach the audio card. The optical drive was close the second video card requiring 90 degree SATA and power connectors.

Pros:Have been waiting for this case for 10 months and the wait was worth it. It's very classy looking with a beautiful finish and top notch construction. The roomy interior made building a breeze. The intake fans set on high are very quite. Used the Corsair H50 with 2 Noctua fans in push/pull exhausting case air. CPU is about 4 degrees lower than the air cooler in my previous case (Antec P182)with the Noctua cooler. The greatest benefit of this case is the cooling of the video cards. Running SLI- 260-216 (one a 65nm and the other 55nm GPU) where one card was always 6-8 degrees hotter in my other case, now the delta is only 2 degrees under load. System spec: Asus P6T deluxe, i7-920 (3.5ghz), Corsair HX850 PS, 6 gigs Corsair memory, H50 CPU cooler, SLI-EVGA 260-216, 1-640gig WD Black, 2-1T WD Black drives, Auzentec forte sound card.
Comment:
Great case, outstanding cooling, will purchase another for the my better half only in silver this time. One last thing the case is very heavy fully loaded. LAN parties will be a challenge.
