Comment:
Works. Low cost. Header could run parallel to face of card rather of sticking out at a 90 degree angle. Makes for a TIGHT fit on a uATX board with limited slot space. If you can leave the slot next to it open, or put it on the end slot position, then its not a challenge.

Comment:
Eveything I needed to complete my project (new atx case with IEEE 1394a firewire front panel ports). The By way of Chipset inside the card runs incredibly cool and the placement of the internal 9 pin connector does'nt appear to bother me, I utilised plastic ties for the cables and routed the wires through a cable entire in the internal area af the atx case the internal wire is unnoticealbe and out of the way. Prompt shipment and packaged nicely. Excellent overall service as often from New Egg. None 1 excellent factor about this PCI card: it is small and can be placed close to a graphics card that is equipped with a fan allowing air to pass.

Works as it's supposed to... Low-cost... none Bought this mainly because there was no mobo 1394 header for the front panel 1394 on a case. This did the job.

SYBA IEEE 1394a FireWire PCI Card with Internal 9-pin Header Model SD-VIA-FW1E1H
Comment:
Inexpensive firewire card with internal header for front port on Antec Sonata. Works nicely. Mounting bracket is not fairly correct, would not allow the card to seat fully in the PCI socket. Considering the price, I can't ding it for that. Believed the card was dead considering that it wouldn't show up in device manager. Attempted it in 1 of my folding rigs (no case) and it worked, so I figured it could not be seating suitable in the PCI slot. I took the mounting bracket off and was in a position to seat the card completely in the case and it works fine. Not ideal, due to the fact plugging/unplugging something in the back port might unseat the card, but no biggie in my circumstance due to the fact we use the front port on the case anyway.

I utilised these in instances with Firewire ports on the front that need to plug into a 9-pin header. They work great, and the cost was very low. None

I bought this for the sole cause of getting an internal pin header, and for that it does the job perfectly. As far as efficiency goes, I haven't noticed any slowdowns. The pin header can be at an odd angle for those with cramped cases. My case is inverted so the pin header is facing up; not a lot of a difficulty for me. Can't beat the cost. If you want internal firewire for your case, this is the 1.

SYBA IEEE 1394a FireWire PCI Card with Internal 9-pin Header Model SD-VIA-FW1E1H
Comment:
When I was looking about, this was the only economical PCI card with an internal header. It seemed to not fit in excellent with my PCI slot. My system would recognize the card but not want to load a driver unless I had it in the slot just suitable. Following about 6 months, I could no longer come across the "sweet spot" and I replaced the card. The new and different 1394 card I got has been working with good success for about 2 months now.

Front panel header, incredibly affordable. none This was the least pricey firewire(a) card I could find on the Egg - and was absolutely worth it. I purchased 2 of these - 1 for my HTPC with a GA-P35-DS3L (rev 2.) and one for my main program with a GA-EP45-DS3L - each running Vista Home Premium 32bit. The front panel header works just like you'd anticipate. (no surprises or headaches.)

This card replaced an Ultra Firewire/USB card that had failed out on my. The card works as it is suppose to due and does it quick. I have used this card a couple of times to transfer movies from our Digital Camera. Also this cards appear a small bit faster then my Ultra card so I'm pleased with it. None at this time.

Works as advertised. Pins aim down. If you have another card directly below it, points will be tight but not impossible. Utilizing in a dual bood WinXP-Pro ࿀-bit) and Win7-Premium ࿠-bit). Each found it just fine.

A factory "Media PC" came with out a firewire port. Owner had no way of connecting his video camera. The card was clearly uncomplicated to install and the OS recognized it and he was on his way. Outstanding New egg service! Card works as advertised and if a front panel port is desired in the future, it already has a nine pin header for it. None A very satisfied consumer and an easy fix to his situation. To date, I have had nothing but positive experiences with Newegg!!

It works, not certain what else I can say. I utilized an old case and rebuilt a personal computer. My replacement motherboard did not have a firewire header. That plug is not positioned appropriately.

Comment:
I've been working with it for importing video into Premiere, and it works like a charm. I bought this card simply because my motherboard didn't have a firewire header, so this is incredible. The excellent of the card is excellent too. I've had some PCI cards be sharp on the edges and seem flimsy. Not this 1. The low profile, plus the header, makes attaching a front panel firewire fairly hard. The easiest answer is to attach it beforehand, then put the card in the PCI slot. I'm incredibly happy with this card. SYBA will be hearing from me again.
