Comment:
Fantastic framerates in any game of your selection, and good driver enhancements to accelerate / enhance video playback. Regardless of some review data showing the 5830 to run hotter than the 5850, it is difficult to oversell the thermal efficiency of this card specially given the quality of the cooling program Sapphire stuck on there. Five copper heatpipes and a 90mm fan is overkill in the ideal type of way - even under maximum Furmark I have yet to see this card cross 82C. The default fan settings preserve the noise level way down even through extended gaming, my CPU cooler makes a lot more noise than this card. You can manually force the fan to full speed which makes a hell of a whoosh, but this never ever happens in normal usage. At full power this cooling program will keep the card beneath 68C for hours on end throughout a maximum burn Furmark test. Length, as noted by other reviewers, is an concern if you have a case which can not guarantee clearance for a ten+ inch card with room still needed for power connectors. My case worked fine, and it is comical to see this factor mounted on to a Micro ATX motherboard. Haven't even bothered to OC yet, no games at 1080 resolution have needed such an attempt. This seriously is the sweet spot for the ATI 5000 series - way more card than the 5770 but only 赨. Couldn't be a lot more pleased.

I meant that this card is bottlenecking my card lol, not my system lol...Anyway this card has been operating really cool, I have been having fun playing cod4 mw2 I may well have said in my prior post that this card is long and it covered my sata input ports but thats truly the only factor I can think of This card is fairly sweet but if you have some extra cash go for the 5850 or 2x 5770's

Good card, fan is silent up to 70-75%, handles BFBC2 at maxed out settings with an typical of 90fps, handles a decent overclock, will be obtaining another for crossfire. This card is a lot more than sufficient for right now's games with a value that's very reasonable, compared to spending a lot far more for a little additional power with a 5850 or greater. Wouldn't fit in lower PCI-E slots of a Storm Scout due to the fact it is so close to the HDD cage, the PCI-E plugs require to go in the end of the card and can't because of this. Had to mount in very first PCI-E slot so PCI-E plugs/wiring could extend in to 5.25" bay. Crossfiring these cards could not function mainly because of this concern. Not a big problem for me, I'll just mod the HDD cage. Very pleased with the card. The RC 10.2 drivers are seriously not that great along with the 1.three's. When I tried the card on my buddies pc (Q9450) it crashed 1-two times for EQII. I lastly have my own laptop or computer built and for the last couple days items have been excellent for me. I have yet to encounter any crashes. I DO have 10.5 drivers. They work quite nicely at the moment. World of Warcraft Max Settings 1920x1080 - 170-200FPS (Yes I stated that right haha!) Organization of Heroes & Dawn of War II perform fairly flawlessly on max settings also. I did not turn on AA as I don't genuinely care to use it. **No artifacts at the moment**The sapphire has the very best cooling out of all of the 5830 cards (Except for the V-cooler or w/e version). Overclocking is not to shabby. Working with the built in catalyst overclocking you can get a stable (only a couple degrees warmer) clock to 875񳂠. That bumps up genuine globe FPS by a few FPS. Also beats out GTX 285 with this enhance! Have not truly ran into any problems but.**Price could be an concern but it bothers me that people say get the 5770 rather. This card runs cooler, quieter, and smoother. AND the reality that you get DX11 support and a smaller Die (Less heat). If you can get this card for 赨-起 with/without a rebate then you are golden. Also folks say get the 5850 for a little additional. The last time I checked the 5850 was about 60-75 additional if you are lucky. That's nonetheless a chunk of alter when the 5830 performs quite nicely even at bigger resolutions than 1920x1080񡼰). Extremely overclockable, very stable, cool, quiet. I was able to max out the ATI overdrive settings at 875MHZ core and 1200MHZ memory (brought the memory up about 35GB/second!). None so far. I didn't wait till the 460 came out and overpaid by โ. To the guy questioning about water cooling- yes, you can use liquid cooling, but I don't recommend you do the mod by yourself. If you aren't positive how to pull the HSF off, you shouldn't attempt a thing as difficult as water cooling.

Card runs cool and really. I run it on max settings and so far it's stable with no artifacts. Can't here the fan at all, and yes it's operating. It's a significant card but fits in the Cooler Master Sniper case without having problems, a good case by the way. I fly giant scale model airplanes and use the Aerofly Pro simulator to maintain my stick fingers limber. All I can say is WOW! The graphics are basically awesome. Just like getting at the field. Good heatsink and heatpipe design, looks sharp, performs quite properly. Can't think of any. Tested initially with Frontlines: Fuel of War, settings maxed out. Only slowed down when firing the tank's principal gun, possibly due to the particle effects and shaders. Otherwise, every little thing performed at or above 25FPS, with spikes of over 100FPS making use of 3DMark, as well as GTA IV benchmark.

Very good performance, I can play all my games with simple and watch videos on my second screen. I am truly happy about it. I would recommend it. Newegg delivery is often a plus. Size might be an concern specially if you cross fire it. I had to move one of my hard drives to make room for it. I have a Lian-Li PC-7B mid tower which is not that major. I got a 22" monitor and a 42" television hook up in my room to this nice graphic card. I can watch a movie and browse the world wide web or play an on the internet game with out no troubles. I am upgrading my monitor to a LED 23" Samsung now.

Had an aging 9800gt and decided to go for this over the 5850 which woulve have cost me an extra 8o bucks. Decided that coming from my previous video card this would be a massive upgrade and it is. WoW max settings 60 fps all over minus Dalaran which on my over crowded BlackRock server ( the most populous wow server at 33k) I get about 13-15 fps near banks. Much less crowded cities 23-45 depending on which.BFBC2 upped my settings from med to max no hiccups. Sapphire web page drivers are useless need to have to go to AMD site and dl the single driver package and all should be good. This card is enormous and bigger than the 5850, go figure. There is some criticism more than this since it sits at about 11 inches lengthy vs the 5850s which are about 9 inches I believe. Leaving the question why is the much less powerful of the two much larger? I had to move 1 of my HDs to fit this sucker in. I utilized the moment to do a thorough dusting and cleaning of the inside of my comp anyway :)

With no spare PCI-e card, I had to go back to a PCI video card, ugh.

Overclocked easily to a stable 875񳂠 -- the limit of CCC. Very quiet, strong, 5 heatpipe cooler that runs the forgoing OC quietly and coolly. DX11. Terrific video. HDMI sound. Runs all my games smoothly. Tessellation -- runs Heaven 2 Benchmark DX11 with "normal" tessellation at 1920x1200, 0AA, 8AF, rest maxxed at a "smooth to the eye" 28FPS. Release Candidate two drivers are supplied. These first drivers do not do OpenGL that properly (slow and artifacts). Want to wait for a driver update. As of this writing, the downloadable driver is still the RC2. Replaced stock HD4870 that ran every little thing at my preferred settings. This is significantly quicker in DX10/DX11 advanced benchmarks. Got really low cost due to price cut, plus rebate, plus OCZ Flash combo, plus free of charge shipping. The HD5xxx series will support OpenGL four -- older cards won't. Moreover, ATI OpenGL has been competitive with Nvidia for a lengthy time. So, I picture the OpenGL will be fixed in a newer driver. Simply because the driver is an RC, I do not subtract an egg for the initial weak OpenGL efficiency.

Wonderful card. I've played a couple of games on it proper now and almost everything works beautifully. I had a damaged 280 in my system that wound up screwing up almost everything and shutting down systems when I would play games maxed out at my monitor's full 1080p resolution. This card handles everything maxed out at full res, with all particulars turned on. I also like getting a native HDMI output built-into the card rather than having to use an adapter - that really assists out a lot. Haven't had a likelihood to test out the numerous monitor setup however but I actually want to do that at some point. Only con is that it's expensive. And major - but my Antec case had much more than sufficient room to fit it. I accidentally knocked out the tough drive cables throughout install but that was mainly just my common carelessness. If I had the money I'd get a second one, put it in crossfire and do an 8-monitor setup. That would be fairly sweet.

I've thoroughly put this card by means of its paces, and it manages to play all my games on their highest settings. Fallout three on Ultra High, Bad Organization 2 on High, Just Trigger 2 on High. If you want an incredible card that won't break the bank, this card will surely fit your requirements. My only genuine con is the length of the card. The card is about 10 inches long, and for some reason they decided to put the power plugs on that side so you want a bunch of room in your case for it. It was either this or a 5770, and I am so happy I went with this 1.

Looks pretty trick with my new setup. Superb clarity and colors. Can't wait to get one more 1 and possibly Eyefinity. This is where I knock off an egg. Took me 4 hours to figure out that this card doesn't work with the Catalyst 10.4 drivers in Windows 7 64 bit. After installing the drivers Windows nonetheless defaults to the Common VGA driver. Following looking at ATI's driver download page again I noticed there's a separate driver for the 5830. This is actually the 10.two version of Catalyst. I call poor support on ATI's component. This card has been out long sufficient to have ironed out the bugs. What gives ATI? Will this card ever use the most recent drivers or will we always be waiting for a particular 5830 driver release? Most likely overkill for my application, but what's wrong with future-proofing? This card hasn't so a lot as hiccuped when dealing with over a dozen images open in PhotoShop, Dreamweaver open, a BR rip playing HD, while surfing the net writing this review. Apparently this is not 3D ready... Bummer, but I did not necessarily plan for it to anyhow.

OpenCLDouble precision floating point arithmeticDouble them up and you get 2240 stream processors for 蹘slower clock speeds means ATI cards get the job performed with fewer resources, less heat, smaller power supplies. So new that some of it's most powerful functions will remain elusive for a minority of users running Linux 64bit. If you are a 64bit Linux user AND are buying this to use the GPU for distributed computing, be conscious that as of now, there is little support in the established BOINC community. That's what I purchased it, due to the fact I want to alter that. If you want to jump proper in and begin employing it, you'd be much better off with an Nvidia card. Slower and doesn't relieve the CPU as a great deal as ATI Streams. If you are a Windows 7 user, then you really should absolutely decide on 1 like this. It's quicker, supports dbl precision, and uses less resources.
