Hard disks, being volatile used to have three to five year warranties, but now this one is sold with only a one year warranty, which reflects poorly on its reliability. That, and higher prices since the flood of the factories in Thailand, stop this drive from receiving full marks.

Pros:Price is good, reliability is OK, and speed is not bad. Comment: I've used dozens of these in budget builds. Great drives - never had a DOA one yet, and to be honest, actually haven't had one die on me either. Only problem is that the warranty on Seagate drives was cut short recently during the whole flood in Thailand thing. Oh well.

It's a complete bottle neck because Sata can transfer that fast but these types of drives only read and write at around 30mb per second if you're lucky. Pros:It was cheap when I bought it 8 months ago, but it's now a bit overpriced. The drive is still running like a champ and I use it for many hours every day. Comment: I always end up with a 5.9 base score on my Windows experience index because I buy these types of drives. I would recommend a solid state drive over these if you want a really nice build.
