Seagate Momentus 7200.4 7200RPM 16Mb cache 3Gb/s 320-GB SATA 2.5" Hard Drive - OEM
Cons: Doesn't have a 500GB platter

Pros: Fast and quiet
Comment:
As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a fast drive (for a laptop drive that is). Despite being 7200rpm, it is no noisier than 5400rpm laptop drives. A very good alternative to the more-expensive Scorpio Black series.

Pros: Known brand, low price, good performance
Comment:
This is a great little 2.5" drive. I'm using it for external portable storage with an Acomdata enclosure. Speeds are decent and no bad sectors or defects on initial scans. Quiet as well. Great drive. I have its 250GB brother in my PS3.

I got this drive to replace a slow 5400 rpm Seagate drive and is amazed at the screaming performance and its quietness. My laptop now comes close to my desktop. Everything I do is so much faster and quieter. Simply amazing.

Got this drive because of the reviews and they were spot on. Unit is working great in my Toshiba laptop, had to make a small mod in the door that covers the drive, but it took the OS install and is working great!

Cons:Vibration.kind of noisy.

Pros:relative fast.Not hot.Price.
Comment:
I bought this hard drive for my laptop at cristmas. As I expect, the vibration is more obvious compare to 5400 rpm hard drive. But it's acceptable. And it's not hot at all. Only feel a little warmer than before. For this price, it is not bad deal.

Pros:Quiet and cool.
Comment:
I replaced my HP NC6320 notebook drive with this one. This is also a little faster and get between 50-90MB/sec read transfer when I test with HDTach software. However, it is not fast as expected, maybe I will try SSD. :)

Pros:Works with ps3, low noise
Comment:
I was looking for a new drive for my ps3 and this one happened to be on sale at the time. I'm pleased with the dive thus far. I have no real negatives, other than I was a little shocked on how much it drop ped when it show up as 290GB. I know drives are not as big as they say due to the math but a 30 GB drop  was a bit of a surprise.

Comment:
I bought this hard drive to replace my two year-old Lenovo T60's nearly filled 100GB 5400RPM hard drive during boxing day. Installation was a breeze. I was surprised about how much quieter this hard drive is in comparison to the old one even though it's running at 7200RPM. There's also noticeable performance boost, as expected. Overall, a decent hard drive to "grow" on.

Comment:
I just installed this drive into my ps3 today and there doesn't seem to be an issue with the 7400rpm even though i have heard ps3's like the 5400rpm ones better. Cheap drive but works awesome so far. I would recommend this drive to anyone else who may be looking for an upgrade to their ps3 hard drive.

I love my upgrade
Comment:
I used this Seagate mobile hard drive to upgrade my Toshiba laptop from 60GB to 320GB, plus stepping up to 7200 RPM and 16MB cache. I did a fresh install of my OS, major software, and most of my files in a matter of hours with the help of a USB-SATA adapter kit. I'm super happy so far with the improved performance of my slightly aged laptop. Oh, and TD got the shipment to my front door in 28 hrs!

Seagate Momentus 7200.4 7200RPM 16Mb cache 3Gb/s 320-GB SATA 2.5" Hard Drive - OEM
Cons:Pricey vs. 5400RPM

Pros:Fast, quiet
Comment:
I bought this as a boot drive for a secondary OS in my PC. I went with 2.5" to save a bit of power and heat in the system. It's quite fast for day-to-day use, 320GB is more than enough for the basic usage this drive sees (the PC already has a 750GB 3.5" drive for media files), and it can't be heard at all over the other components in the system.

Works great, I bough it for my Asus1000HE and I can definitely notice that it runs a little bit faster when booting up and such. Only problem was that it made weird noises when i move around with my netbook, not sure what the significance is but other than that, it runs great!

I replaced my acer notebook drive with this one, and found this is much faster and almost silent. I can't hear the hard drive spinning or seeking unless I put my ear on the laptop and then it is still very faint. My old hard drive I could hear across the room. This is also fast and get between 90-50 MB/sec read transfer. Boot times have improved. Installed easily.

Seagate Momentus 7200.4 7200RPM 16Mb cache 3Gb/s 320-GB SATA 2.5" Hard Drive - OEM
Cons:Price between 7200 vs 5400

Pros:Faster than most standard(5400rpm) drives since its 7200Fits into ps3 hard drive and most laptopsReliable
Comment:
I chose to buy it for my ps3 when it was on sale. It works great and I've had no problems with it so far. I wanted to see the difference between the 5400 and 7200 drives on the ps3 and it's not noticeable. For me, so far, I haven' been able to notice the difference between a 5400 and 7200 hard drive on the ps3 but supposedly the load times are faster. If another person is looking to buy a hard drive for their ps3 I would say stick to the 5400 as it is at least 10$ cheaper but right now its actually almost 20$ cheaper as its on sale. It would probably be better on a laptop :P.

Seagate Momentus 7200.4 7200RPM 16Mb cache 3Gb/s 320-GB SATA 2.5" Hard Drive - OEM
Cons:More noise than old 5400 rpm drive

Pros:Faster, larger than stock HD
Comment:
The drive seems a tad faster than the stock 160 gig 5400 rpm drive that came with my 13" macbook pro (although nothing like a SSD). If installed properly you won't notice much vibration, but it is a lot more noisy than the 5400 rpm drive. Overall it isn't that loud and it doesn't bother me so far, and for $60 on sale it was a great deal.

Cons:-None to note so far

Pros:-Affordable - $59.99-16 MB cache-7200 RPM-320 GB-Was expecting it to run hotter, plesantly suprised.
Comment:
I bought this for my girlfriend because she had a 80 gb hard drive in her newer laptop, just couldn't have that. The drive runs well, its not noisy, and doesnt seem to emit much more heat than the 80 gb 5400 RPM drive that was in the laptop before. Definetly happy with this drive. Im suprised to hear this went in a ps3 as I thought the ps3 only liked 5400 rpm drives.

Bought this to upgrade harddrive in my macbook, installed in about 10 minutes. It does run about 10 degrees warmer according to smc fan control. It doesnt bother me much but the fans do run a little more than usual. Runs much faster than old 5400 hard drive. overall a gret drive.
