SilenX IXP-54-14 Case Fan
Comment:
At 100% motor is quiet and fan blade style doesn't produce a whirring noise like some supposedly quiet fans. none Excellent for htpc cases where fan will be at 100% and not temperature controlled.

SilenX IXP-54-14 Case Fan
Comment:
So far so good. Very quiet fan that nonetheless produces a lot of air flow. I went from two 35 decibel 35 cfm fans to two of these, a Large difference in noise level with out sacrificing air flow. preserve my program just as cool. Among the blade design and the fluid dynamic bearings this is a excellent fan for a low price, nicely worth the money. Highly suggested. So far I have not noticed any issues and do not expect any. They look excellent in the case, fit properly, super quiet, great movement and very good airflow. No LEDs on these but that is fine for me. The rubber "studs" utilized to connect to the case are not too bad, may well have to have to use little needle nose pliers to coerce them through the fan but not a lot. If you are seeking for ungodly airflow with no noise, you are not going to discover it in these fans. What you will come across is a quality, quiet fan with good airflow and cooling. Will be obtaining a different set for a different laptop or computer.

SilenX IXP-54-14 Case Fan
Comment:
practically no sound when challenging mounted, even less with the anti-vibration mounts. doesn't move as much air as my old ones did. Two far more fans, and difficult drive upgrades really should take care of that problem, although (see Other Thoughts). Prior to replacing my old fans with these, i was utilizing some old server fans, which move very a bit of air, but are noisy as all get-out.As a result, my challenging drives are running a little hotter (one fan is in the front of the computer system, blowing across the drives), so I have to monitor those temps a small closer. Will possibly get bigger capacity challenging drives to lessen the number of physical disks in my box (great... a lot more income I have to spend... Nicely, that's the nature of the game, isn't it?).

SilenX IXP-54-14 Case Fan
Comment:
Considering how quiet they are (especially with the rubber mounts), their air-moving power is rather impressive. I've been making use of three of them in my case for a small over a year, and not lengthy ago two of these began producing ugly groaning noises though revving up. But after about a minute (and/or hitting the back of the case) they run nice and quiet as usual. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they don't die on me. I've completed my ideal to keep dust out of them. I'm using a third one to cool a VGA card. The two I have in my case are exhaust (they blow out).

Good fan
Comment:
This is a very quiet fan. I have bought 6 Silenx fans to date and I am satisfied with all of them. Also they stand behind their products. On one occasion a faulty fan was sent so I called them and they sent a replacement right away. Can't beat that.

Did not last
Comment:
This fan worked for about 3 days, then nothing. Not worth the hassle to return it. Maybe just a bad fan as I am using a different size fan from the same company with no problems.

VERY queit fan
Comment:
The fan this replaced had developed a bearing whine and was audible across the house. This fan was quiet with the case open and silent when I closed the case. Case temp is below 40c and I'm happy.

Quietest Case Fan I Have Ever Owned!
Comment:
This is the quietest case fan I have ever owned. Airflow seems to be okay too. I would definitely buy again. Other thought: I have only used for a few weeks, so I hope it holds up.
