Simple to install. Works like it really should, looks superior. None Unfortunately I didn't consult my motherboard book ahead of time as I only had one offered USB header; so I can only use two of the 4 USB ports. But for the price it was still worth it

I like the Aluminum Face rather of Plastic. I had some difficulty with the USB wiring simply because they have a USB shield Pin on them and I plugged them in the added 5th pin. These work ok without having the Shield pin, but Silverstone ought to adopt the 5ǚ Pin Block Wiring Config on these so that Two USB Ports can be combined into 1 port. (So essentially for my Motherboard you would genuinely only want two wires for every single port.I recommend you don't do this because the USB May well not function. Just plug in the four pins into the motherboard as per outlined in your Motherboard Manual. Audio Jacks don't appear to work with my Asus M4A78 Pro Motherboard. Could be a incorrect wiring configuration. I don't have Firewire on this Motherboard so sort of hard to test out the Firewire. If you want 4 USB Ports in one particular of the three 1ǘ Bays which is what I purchased it for it works just fine. Just make confident you hook it up right.

HD Audio, four usb See other thoughts I got this to replace the headphone jack in an old crapper case so I could hook it up to the X-Fi XtremeGamer card I have in there. It was a tight fit, but better snug than loose. The only thing I would like to have distinct is to put the audio jacks on the other side of the usb. It just seems backwards to me.

Sturdy, powerful, firm, USB, Firewire, and audio inputs. Every thing fits perfectly into the slots, but it does not get stuck or anything. It functions great, honestly a lot much better than most built in ports. Absolutely nothing to say here. Wonderful, I would definitely advocate this item.

Extremely nicely built unit. Nice clean cabling. The connectors are good quality. There are 4 individual usb cables that come out of the back of this unit. Hopefully you have adequate connections on your motherboard. You could want to make certain you can fully make use of them before you acquire this. You have to do analysis particular to your motherboard to make certain you don't plug the usb cables in wrong. I guess that goes without saying. But if you aren't a technical individual you may possibly have trouble connecting this appropriately.

I have previously reviewed this product and really don't know exactly where I would be with out it. This genuinely does present a wonderful resolution for my consumers who are in adore with USB stuff! I primarily create business systems and this seems to be the largest single item I provide that hits a hot button! Amazingly, there are quite couple of case manufacturers who have figured out that far more than two front usb ports are neccasary?? No Selection for just 4 front usb ports without the headphone and mic or Firewire ports? Would enjoy 1 of these with just the USB with these sort of internal connectors and without the rest! Please maintain carrying these NewEgg! Unbelievably, they are incredibly hard to uncover!

Cheap option to failed ports or for older circumstances which don't have front jacks. Lousy construction. Not meant to last nor for a gamer. I purchased this to replace a failed audio connector on my case. Right after a few months, the audio jacks loose connection. Either the mic on my headset goes out and no one can hear me on voice communication software program, or I can only hear out of 1 side (Left or Proper) of my headphones (ANNOYING)!I bought a second 1 to replace the first and everything worked good once again for the 1st couple of months and then the similar difficulty. The audio jacks aren't meant to last on this factor at all.If this factor wasn't meant for HD audio (Plug in your headset your speakers turn off, unplug your headset to switch back to speakers) why did it include the jacks? There are other alternatives out there, none at this cost point on the other hand. I guess the saying holds correct, you get what you pay for. The audio jacks on this are not meant for plugging your headset in and out at will and definitely won't last.

Metal, nice finish, supports HD audio, all connectors are internal pin connections, no need to have to route cables out the back of your case, these just plug into your motherboard pins. Audio jacks are very tight.USB ports are a little 'loose', if you bump them just a little they will often lose connection.Don't know whats up with the individual pins, didn't require to use them though, i'm not employing the firewire. Way nicer than I expected. The metal casing is wonderful and the finish is nice. I actually only got this for the front audio ports, and they work fantastic. If your board/driver supports it, when you plug in the front headphones the rear speaker outputs are disabled, which is exactly what I necessary.

It works. Audio high quality is fine. No esd issues. Usb works. Don't use the firewire so I can't comment on that. It's challenging to install. I had to force it into my case and debated utilizing screws to hold it into place because of all the friction. Too a lot of cables. There are all the cables together, and then they branch off and separate, making 2 different approaches to connect the ports. Makes a fantastic mess. It has hd audio, but if you don't have the driver from microsoft then your stuck using the ac97 plug.

With 4 USB ports, who couldn't like this panel? Everything was simple enough to hook up, in spite of the cables being split. The front audio is good, specially for my case (it didn't come with ANY front connectors at all...) The cables had been split. Had to get out my motherboard manual and make positive I wasn't going to fry anything. I sincirely doubt it's constructed of aluminum. I've worked with aluminum before, and this isn't it. Possibly a aluminum alloy...My motherboard doesn't have a place to plug in the Firewire. Make positive you check your motherboard to see if it has ports for everything. I got in a hurry and didn't do all of my homework.

four usb ports 1 firewire port, and AUDIO PORTS. Just what i needed. The audio is also HD so there was no difference from by back ports to the front. :) Make shure you have enough usb pins on your MB i had just sufficient don't have any a lot more open but also don't have pins for a firewire port. But i knew this i Needed AUDIO PORTS ON THE FRONT. My case for some odd reason didn't come with audio ports on the front even although it has those plastic brake away spots for them proper subsequent to the two usb ports on the front. I didnt style the case but what ever.

Fits in the 3.five" bay, simple to install and no drivers needed. The black finish looks great in my case. Individual cables for every single of the 4 USB ports, it could have been developed better. Works very good for what I necessary, my case had no audio ports up front and the USB ports are difficult to get to simply because of the design of my case, this is a great resolution.

Solid construction , Plenty of USB's and their wires were ganged together . Install wasn't bad and directions had been clear and simple to recognize. Wish USB could have been a plug , additional single connectors are a pain but they can always be removed , fit in my 3.5" bay was a small tight but this may well vary from case to case. Would like to trade off the fire wire for a SATA connection but this is only for personal causes and has no reflection on product .

Good appear and finish, cables seem to be strong and have a decent length to them. Fit with out any problems. All the ports work just fine. I got this simply because my case had AC97 front panel panels and my motherboard utilized HD so its was either get an additional case or get an additional front panel. Also Silverstone has a very good name for instances. The wires come out of the back from a plastic bracket which holds the wires securely so you dont have to be concerned about yanking a cable accidentally to challenging and breaking them. The usb connectors for the motherboard are a bit weird. They are split in one row and if you dont know the pin layout for you motherboard it may well be hard to install or even damage it, and the device. Yet another thing is that the plugins for the Headphones and mic appear genuinely loose. You have to push them in all the way prior to ut seems secure. Then then the audio control panel picks it up. I was only able to use 2 of the usb ports due to the fact I only had room for 2 much more additions. 1 factor to note is that this is a three.5 bay front panel. I forgot to make certain, but luckily I had one totally free. Its not bad for somebody who require hd audio for their motherboard. Thats the main reason I got it.

Metal housing and not that inexpensive light weight plastic, wires are wrapped and heavy grade, construction is nicely created, even the packaging was performed nicely; Alter the USB alignment to vertical, from the horizontal position; with most of the USB housing size, it would be impossible to have all four USBs plugged in the present horizontal position I read a lot of reviews concerning the 'grounded shield' wire, which most motherboard will not support; on the other hand, this is not a challenge; just don't use it; I zipped tied the two connectors together along with the grounded shield connector; I did for every single of the two group USBs; just make positive to review your motherboard pin assignment; Newegg rocks! I had my order in one day!

Very fast and painless setup. Headers all fit properly. USB, firewire, and audio ports all work excellent. I can switch from my speakers running off the Audigy2 ZS Gamer to my headphones running off the onboard audio by way of front adapter in about five-10 seconds w/shortcut to audio settings on desktop from control panel. Finally having front connectors on my tower is a large convenience that was too hard to live without. Can't use Audigy2 ZS Gamer with front audio ports, consequently can't use headphones off Audigy2 card in video games/etc. Microphone and headphone jacks are additional than "a small" snug. I really feel like they're too snug and could shorten the lifespan of the item just by plugging/unplugging mic/headphones too typically. I decided to just leave the mic and headphones plugged in as attempting to pull them out or push them in is way too troublesome/scary. Wish it came with a larger footprint or a 5 1ǘ" adapter to put in my leading 5 1ǘ" bay. It price less than three Lincoln's just before shipping, so can't complain too much for such a handy and versatile product becoming so affordable.

This thing works Extremely properly proper out of the box. It's fairly a great deal a plug-and-go device. I've had no problems with it given that I got it installed and plugged in. Getting able to pick the AC97 or HD connector for the audio is a definite plus. Size. This sucker just doesn't want to fit really nicely into my chassis. It's on the big size of a 3.5" floppy drive bay, width and height wise. I don't own a Silverstone chassis, so I can't say if it fits perfectly into their chassis, but it's an Very tight fit in my Chenbro. With my motherboard documention handy, acquiring the plugs into the headers on the board was a snap - just had to make certain I had pin1 in the right spot.
