Sparkle Power SPI ATX-400PN 400W ATX12V 20/24PIN Power Supply W/ 120MM Fan P4 AMD Ready OEM
Cons:Cables not as nice as some
Pros:Inexpensive120MM fan Comment:
This power supply performs as advertised. It is a suitable basic power supply for most PC needs. Most PCs today will be fine on a 400W power supply, especially since newer processers are sipping less power than some of the power-hungry pentium 4s.While it might cut it too close to the line if you're running a quad core CPU and a pair of Nvidia 8800GT in SLi, there is no reason you need anything more in your normal desktop PC.My only complaint is that the cabling is a bit of a mess. If they included a wrap around the cords it'd be much nicer, but, for a budget power supply, this is fine. |

Sparkle Power SPI ATX-400PN 400W ATX12V 20/24PIN Power Supply W/ 120MM Fan P4 AMD Ready OEM
Cons:Do not expect wonders under heavy load.
Pros:Solid inexpensive PSU. Comment:
If you are building a non-demanding machine and do not load this PSU a lot it offers incredible value. Very quiet and cool. Enough connectors of good length. I am using this one in HTPC with Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H, AMD X2 4200+, 2 GB RAM, PATA HDD and DVD drive and machine is dead silent. For a very good review and comparison check this page:http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/513-skymtl-s-budget-psu-roundup.htmlOverall - highly recommended for light builds. |

Cons:The price drop after I bought it.
Pros:Quiet, 120mm Fan. Comment:
Overall, this PS is good for most people. But don't think you can use it with your quad-CPU & 8800 GPU. Maybe it will work, but not recommend.I put this PS into my old computer and never turn off, it works very good now.High recommend for your old computer. |

Sparkle Power SPI ATX-400PN 400W ATX12V 20/24PIN Power Supply W/ 120MM Fan P4 AMD Ready OEM
Cons:not enough sata power
Pros:stable power Comment:
at first, i thought that i made a mistake and would need more W, or more SOMETHING, for it really looked like any old stock power supply. however, after i plugged it in and used it for a few, it seems to be able to satisfy my needs, (i had to buy more modular -> sata power adapters though)i'm running a galaxy 8800GT, 4gb ram, intel c2d e6600 and like 3 case fans. it comes w/ 1x pci-e power, so my 8800gt is happy. and so am i =)for the price, i really coudlnt' ask for more |

Sparkle Power SPI ATX-400PN 400W ATX12V 20/24PIN Power Supply W/ 120MM Fan P4 AMD Ready OEM
Cons:- Plain grey (standard)- OEM (no screws or power cord included)- No cable sleeve.
Pros:- Built like a tank (solid)- Accurate specs / very stable- Quiet 120mm fan Comment:
I dare you to find a better PSU for $40! You know this is the real deal because it's build like a tank. It's not light like those cheap PSU's that lie about their ratings/stats. This thing will really pump out 400w as expected and would beat out any of those cheap brands probably up to the cheapo 550w range. It has a nice quiet 120mm fan & SATA connectors. I would post the system that I have running it but it seems other reviews are using more powerful equipment without problems also so why bother. This is a definite winner that is way above average and I'm surprised that it's priced this low.Go Sparkle! |

Cons:No modular cablesNo PCIe 8Pin
Pros:Great Price2X 12v l 18A eachPCIe ConnectorPlenty of other connectionsQuietGood Quality Components Comment:
For the price you just can't beat this. I've had this for almost half a year now, and it's still running like new. I've built a rig for my friend:AMD Athlon 5200+Asus M2A2GB PC2-5300 Corsair XMS2ATi X1950Pro 256MB2X 320GB SATA HDDsand it runs the system perfectly. I've measured the voltage with my multimeter, and there is only +/- 0.1v while the rig is running on load.I highly recommend this PSU for budget gamers. I'm willing to bet that this baby can even run an 8800GTS and a HD2900Pro. |

Cons:None
Pros:Good PriceQuietSufficient connectors for all my devicesBuilt well Comment:
Had this for 4 days now. Came in a white bag surrounded with peanut foam which was adequate. The PSU is much quieter than my older generic one. Today I have left it on for over 12 hrs now and the top of the PC is still cool. Overall, very good PSU for a low-mid end PC. Thanks to all who reviewed this product. It made my decision much easier. |

Pros:Stable, 400W, Good price. Comment:
Running a 4200+ X2 with a 7600GT, 2 hard drives and a X-Fi XtremeMusic without any problems. The thing runs pretty quiet too. I'd probably get something a little stronger for an 8800GTS although it probably would work. |

Sparkle Power SPI ATX-400PN 400W ATX12V 20/24PIN Power Supply W/ 120MM Fan P4 AMD Ready OEM
Cons:-very plain and boring. -may have been rectified since mine was purchased but only 2 SATA power connectors
Pros:-quiet-very stable-cables come out of PSU on the proper side for better cable management Comment:
Very solid PSU for the price, though not terribly efficient in these days of 80+ efficiency. Runs cool and quiet under most conditions. My copy only has 2 SATA power connectors. The power cables come from the PSU on the side I prefer for better cable management. |

Sparkle Power SPI ATX-400PN 400W ATX12V 20/24PIN Power Supply W/ 120MM Fan P4 AMD Ready OEM
Cons:No 8-pin 12V plug
Pros:Stable voltagesQuiet Comment:
Excellent value for a PSU of this caliber. The only problem that i have had with it was that i tried to use it to bench-test a mobo-cpu-ram config and it doesn't have an 8-pin connector so i had to install the motherboard into its tower before i could find out if the mobo was doa or not. minor though. For basic desktop use i would whole heartedly recommend this unit. |
bought it and love it! hard to go wrong with this PS, for the price and the quality. i have been using it for quite a while and figured id put some long term input down. never failed me once.
