Fantastic item! Thermaltake has usually produced excellent products but this thing is just great. When I had the stock heatsink and fan on my i-7 930, not over clocked, it would run at 185F ࿵C) whilst under a full load. Now I'm operating my i7-930 at four.1Ghz and though running Prime95 鲤% CPU load) for an hour and it in no way got above 167F ࿫C). Very recommend!!! The directions were a little on the weak side, but the assembly isn't too complicated to start with. I believe thermaltake ought to consider adding some sort of front or rear bay selection for controlling the fans. It's annoying to have to continually open your case if you want custom speeds on the fans.

Cools nicely, dual fans are quiet, keeps temps down, easy to install This thing is Large. I read other evaluations stating it was bigger than other coolers, but the specs didn't do it justice. It presently covers a RAM slot. Not a big deal with two sticks of 4GB, but it would be nice to not have to switch fans in the occasion I necessary to expand the quantity of RAM I have. Barely fit in my case (LANBoy Air)

i had a asustec liquid cooler and i was getting overheating concerns soon after playing dirt2 for about 30 mins. i had temps up to 90 celcius!too high.i put the frio in and it runs no greater than 54 celcius. about 35 celcius cooler even immediately after an hour of play. nice! also i have no issues with the cooler interferring with my memory slots ,like some evaluations mentioned. this factor is massive!i couldnt think how big this factor is. it barely fit in my mid tower case i am seriously impressed with this cooler, and as constantly newegg is the finest! adore these guys

Insane heatsink. Added another fan Ɠ Total) for further cooling. Keeps my 1090T 4Ghz at 32C below load, and as low as 25C idle. Rather big, but fits (barely). Less costly, and in my opinion, far better than liquid cooling.

It looks nice in my Cooler Master Storm case. The red and black go effectively. I was originally searching at water cooling, but this has been a wholesome investment. It's sitting on an AMD 955 BE overclocked at 3.6 2800 stable. I would suggest this cooler for anyone who's looking to get the greatest out of their CPU. It's about a 6 or 7 out of 10 on loudness scale.

Keeps my 955 OC'd to 4Ghz at a cool 36°c at stock voltage. A small huge so could not fit in instances narrower than 8.1 inches. Hangs over the 1st memory slot so taller memory may not fit unless you run it with only 1 fan instead of 2. This factor rocks. Beats my old Thermaltake Max Orb.

Every thing is a pro 101cfm fans with four.2mmH2O static pressure, five 8mm heatpipes looks remarkable in black instances as mine is a HAF-X my sister has this cooler also in PC-K62 Dragonloard case it looks equally appealing. this an remarkable cooler see other thoughts PFFFFFT are you kidding me Installed the cooler last night <------- mind you no time for Arctic Silver five to cure i have my processor a Phenom II 965BE at four.141ghz and load temps have yet to surpass 50C idles at 33C in my space. My old cooler at 3.8ghz got to 62C which was uncomfortable for me inside less than 2 min of prime95 not the case with this beast at three.8 it only got to 42C from 34C when it was 73F in my spaceAcquire THIS Item !!!

Yeah, the heatsink and fan is huge but the mounts make installing it to your motherboard 'very' secure. I was surprised by how sturdy it is. There is a second fan that I could have installed but I did not. I bought an adjustable speed silverstone fm121 for a replacement fan for the back of the case. I have a core i5 three.33ghz and the stock was just not cutting it. It went up as high as 160 degrees F when playing games, and 120 F idle. With this processor fan and heatsink it is at 94 F with a game in the background sitting idle. None. It demands a lot of space so make sure you have enough in your case if you get it.

- Dual fans- Superb cooling- Nice color scheme and it looks good in my case- Not quite audible at mid-to-low fan speeds- Fits wonderfully in my case (NZXT Tempest)- Perfect clearance of my mobo's RAM slots (ASUS P6T)- DOES NOT BLOCK ANY RAM SLOTS, even with each fans mounted.I have a fan controller with temp monitor and alarm. In warmer climate and if I was carrying out pretty much something CPU intensive, the alarm would go off continually with the stock CPU cooler. The climate has been acquiring pretty warm here lately and even with the fans only on low to mid speed, the alarm hasn't gone off a single time considering that I installed this cooler. The temps are registering a solid 30 degrees cooler than with the stock cooler! Color me satisfied! I would certainly suggest this to a friend and could get an additional one for a replacement develop of my media PC; or I may upgrade to the new Frio OCK.Important stats:Intel i7 975 Extreme Edition12GB Corsair XMS3ASUS P6TNZXT Tempest case - Have to use the rheostat knob(s) to adjust the speed of the fan(s). I took an egg off for that given that it could be very inconvenient if you have your case mounted in an enclosed or awkward space. Luckily, I don't. I'm confused as to why folks are saying this fan is blocking RAM slots. The only way I can see that becoming feasible is if they either have it oriented to blow out the best of the case or they're employing a micro-ATX mobo. If it's the latter, why on earth would you even will need this level of cooling on a micro board?? I have it blowing out the back like it's developed to with Both fans installed and it nonetheless clears the RAM slots on my ASUS P6T mobo. All that false talk about blocking RAM had me nervous about buying the fan. I was pleasantly surprised to come across it fits perfectly on my board (when oriented appropriately) and in the case with a smidgeon of space to spare. I can even nonetheless use my Corsair RAM fan if I wanted to! If you don't have a full- or large mid-tower, forget about it. I shopped this against the CM Hypertec 212+, V10, V8, and V6GT. This unit seemed to have better pro evaluations than the others and superior specs for my requirements; not to mention pricing.

Holds an OC on my i7 970 at three.85ghz w/ HT with no troubles. Can simply hit 4ghz but I like to remain cool and preserve power consumption down. Not as excellent as some much more high-priced coolers (H70, Noctua NH-D14, Prolimatech Meghalem); but it doesn't price as considerably as these, specially with the cost drop. This is a high quality air cooler, you will not be disappointed.

Installed without a hitch! Mounted incredibly effectively and keeps my temps really cool! I'm operating my cpu at four.two gighz and i hardly ever see my temps more than 40c my idle is at 25c and full load is right around 37-40c. I'm operating an I7 950. none what so ever... This Cpu cooler is Massive! If you have a tiny case you may reconsider... if you have a thermaltake armor case with the 25cm fan on the side..... like i do..... you could have problems obtaining the door to close lol i thought i had space but i was sadly mistaking! i can close the side panel but there is clearance troubles and i may have to locate a different side panel for my chassis.

At lowest setting with each fans, my i7 920 runs at 65C max under 100% load. (Stock Intel fan ran 70C-80C). Huge! I had to eliminate portion of the heatsinks that had been attacked to my RAM modules in order for the Fans to fit on my motherboard. Awesome fan, makes space very tight in the case. Would have gotten smaller fan if I knew it was truly that big, nevertheless it does its job nicely

i5 2500k with stock cooler was way to hot hitting 80c with hyper pi. With this cooler it never gets above 50c with fans turned to lowest settings. Works as advertised. Good quality Construction. Fans don't support PWM fan controls. If you own a ASUS P8P67 mobo, your going to lose a RAM slot with both fans installed. Alot of men and women are saying it's loud. Even with dual fans at highest RPM it was totally acceptable. I only saw 1 degree C distinction with fans at low compared to high.

Installed on an ASUS P8P67 Pro Rev3 board with an i5 2400K. Effortless directions and uncomplicated installation. Sink is obscenely huge, was unable to mount the second fan to the unit, as it would demand me to remove a ram module. My ram has massive heatsinks on them, so that's also to blame. Making use of stock sink on the CPU, I would idle in between 30-36ºC and peak in between 60-65ºCWith the Frio installed, I'm idling at 20-21ºC and peaking no higher than 50ºC under full load. That's a 15º drop on air alone. The Arctic Silver hasn't even set in however and I'm also only utilizing one of the heatsink fans (on medium speed). Just awesome performance.

Awesome cooling efficiency. Can't beat the price for this CPU cooler. Was quite easy to install and is keeping my i7 2600k at 21 degrees celsius under day to day usages. Can controls attached to the two 120mm fans are a wonderful function. Ideal CPU cooler I have owned. The factor is Large. Had to eliminate the side fan on my Antec 900 case for clearance but nicely worth it, so not docking any eggs for that due to the fact I knew it was big. I was reading that some people had trouble installing this CPU cooler. I have no concept why. I installed this on my Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4-B3 with no issues at all. Removed my motherboard for installation. It was speedy and easy. If your using this board it will overlap the ram slot closest to the cpu with the second fan installed so you will require to eliminate any heat spreaders higher than a quarter inch if your going to use that slot. In closing if your the type to not read directions please dont give this a negative score for your lack of technical skill. This product is a solid, well made peace of hardware.

Overall, great product and it really cool off my CPU. I have a i5 750 and I went from 2.66 ghz to 3.4 ghz with my P55A-UD3P GYGABYTE motherboard. I could not go more than that because my motherboard could not handle it.

The greatest air cooler I've ever seen. Running 1.51 volts by way of an AMD 965 running at four.1ghz with temps running around 45 under load with both fans on high. 30s, yes 30, under idle. That is SICK, and very true. Ambient room temp about 65 degrees F. Every little thing is stable. The same technique with an Asus Triton 78 was only able to go to 1.465 volts and three.8ghz at identical temps for max stability. None if occasional overclocking and speed are most essential to you. I only overclock while gaming so the headphones drown out the noise anyway. Loud as a hair dryer on high when each fans are on high. Very quiet at medium and lower, nevertheless. I don't genuinely call it a con due to the fact it cools so darn well. I'll take it.

Unbelievable! I took my idle temp down to 17c from 31c. And that is with the processor overclocked to 4Ghz. This is the 1st time I necessary to eliminate my motherboard to attach the cpu cooler. This cooler is huge. Make sure you have a case large enough to fit it.

Keeps my i7 920 at three.5 Ghz overclock at 38C idle, with each fans installed blowing at 1250 rpm. Straightforward to install for me, but don't forget the washers on an X58 platform! None for me definitely. This is a massive heatsink/fan. I would not recommend it for use in mid-size tower circumstances. It did not block a mem module slot on my board, but I can see where it may on others.

Keeps my Phenom II 955 overclocked at 3.8Ghz at around 35c idle, 40-44c under load, and at 50c under max load following 30 minutes of prime 95 tension testing. Temps drop insanely quickly goes from 50c to about 33c in about a minute. This thing is appropriate on my 1st ram slot and is touching proper on the side of my G.Skill Ripjaw heat sink. Rubber mounting screws I don't like them they do function but they worried the hell out of me fundamentally you have to get the screws lined up and by way of the holes and then you have to yank them till the wide component gets via the hole which demands alot of force they look and feel like they are about to snap and they did stretch a little bit following all the pulling. Other then that install was a real discomfort considering that in most circumstances such as my cooler master HAF even if you have the opening in the back to allow fast installs for mounting systems your most likely going to still have to take the Motherboard out due to the fact in my case it wasnt a big enough opening for removal or installation. Lastly acquiring the fan on this system is quite tricky and might demand you to have numerous folks I had to have somebody hold the Cooler against the board as i finished bolting it down. I feel however that even with the insane quantity of work it took acquiring this in my systems given that i had to essentially fully take my method apart to mount it correctly it was definately worth the time to guarantee that it ran nice and cool also glad to get the stock fan out since for some reason it was leaving my program around 40-50c idle at stock settings after a year :P. Also i extremely suggest you use arctic five and be positive to follow the installation instructions closely in the course of installation. The optional fan should be facing the back of the case given that it is expelling air(really vital for airflow purposes noticed somebody else was saying do it the other way to maintain from coming into get in touch with with the ram slots but in most circumstances this would definitely lower the cooling capabilities of this cooling method given that most circumstances have a fan expelling hot air in the identical region).
