Thermaltake TMG SL1 Blue LED PCI Dual Slot Fan
Comment:
Quiet. Moves a good bit of air. Blue LED (at least I don't have a window) absolutely nothing to lose an egg over. I took a single egg off due to the fact in the product description this is listed as becoming an exhaust fan, but the a single I got is an intake fan. I think this will cool my video card just as effectively, even though. It just appears strange. Is this supposed to be an intake fan or exhaust?? Either way it is quite quiet and relatively powerful.

The fan is quiet and easy to install. It definite takes up 2 PCI slots. But it does pump the hot air out. None appropriate now.

Moved a lot of air. Considerably louder than expected, and the pitch was in the greater register. Would have kept this had the noise been in a lower, additional generic range.

-Basic style! So effortless a caveman could do it!-Fantastic cooling effects! Cooled down my 9800 GTX noticably-Not also loud.. I cant hear it more than my system but it wasnt genuinely whisper quiet to start with... (with all my fans off it isnt any louder than my Zalman 7500)-The a single wire it has is sleeved.. good and neat -It came backwards from the way i wanted it so i just turned the PCI mount around (it allows you to flip it) So seriously just a incredibly minor difficulty.-And theres no cupholder for my beer! Installed in an XClio Godspeed One particular AdvIm pleased with it for the little dollars i spent it went farther than i expected!

Mine was Really effective. Possibly I had a fluke as most other people mentioned theirs was silent. As soon as I installed it it was by far the most potent exhaust component in my case. Because of the high rate of speed the fan went at it sent a vibration throughout my case. I assume most other folks reviewing should have loud vibrating situations already but mine is quite quiet. Also I required an intake NOT an exhaust. I don't care for the LED - for some this would be a pro for other individuals a con although. Seriously, if you require the airflow and an exhaust around your PCI components this a single works excellent. I had to RMA mine as it didn't do what I necessary it to do which was to take in air from outside and blast it into the video card from below. Rather I rigged my personal case fan by modifying a PCI slot plate and attaching a 120mm fan to it to blow into the video card from beneath. Wish a person made a component like that as mine expense me only the price of the 120mm fan and the screws for drilling I employed... Newegg was fantastic to deal with but I couldn't keep away from the restocking fee. I advocate buying a component like this from yet another neighborhood retailer and returning it if it doesn't operate for you. You won't lose a lot if you finish up keeping it either and you won't have to wait for shipping.

Purchased it to cool off my Gigabyte 8600GTS video card in my media Computer case; it keeps the temperature the exact same rather than letting it spike up ㅌC inside a handful of minutes. Couldn't have made a much better choice for the use. None (works excellent for what I purchased it to do.) Sadly, my video card had already been toasted (in 3D games) due to the lack of a fan (as stated in Pros), so it was sent in yesterday for an RMA.

Have had this in my case for about two weeks now. Believe it or not, it does move a superior amount of air! You can feel the exhaust from the back. The fan on my graphics card really stays lower! I'm fairly shocked it would basically help that. So general, much less noise! :D The fan had a tiny *wirrr* noise in the beginning, but that seems to have subsided. I'm not superior at telling if these noises are electrical, mechanical, or wind. So, I'm not confident what the noise was, but perhaps my ears just adapted to it. The factor is, this fan compensated greatly for the fan in my graphics card, so overall my case noise is lower. I got this because I don't SLI(never gave that big of a enhance) and I had 2 slots open amongst my 480GTX and Asus Xonar. I wanted to put one thing in to fill the space and help seperate the two cards. This does a great job and it looks great too. I have an exhaust port and fan suitable more than all the PCI slots on the side of my case, so via that fan I can see the blue glow lighting up my sound card... makes it appear good :)

Super Quiet!Moves a lot of air.The bracket can be effortlessly removed and flipped so the fan can point down or up.Nice blue lighting.Right after upgrading my video to a employed 8800 GTX, my V1200 case began acquiring quite hot on the top. The video card would not idle beneath 80C. Searching about I identified that Lian Li makes a dual 120mm fan program that fees ฽. I was just about to get that when I noticed this one particular. Figuring ฝ was a price that I couldn't go wrong with I popped for the TT. Resolved all my heat matters! My video card now idles at 65C-67C and the best of the case is no longer a hot plate (only finding up to 85F). The blue lighting enhances the blue fan lights that are currently in the V1200. None

It moves air. Lights up true fairly. Haven't check my mb temps but but I am certain they are down. This thing is loud. those of you who say you can hear it? Get your ears checked. It's also huge. And appears to not be really useful if other cards are really close. Fortunately I have a fan controller I can try to tame the noise. But honestly it doesn;t seem worht fooling with. Almost certainly just yank it and move on.

Straightforward to install, looks cool, it has "out of the box appeal." I can't say it pushes any a lot more air out of my tower than when I had two open slots for "out" ventilation. In contrast, the inexpensive Thermaltake fan I have blowing INTO my case for ventilation is a beast. I assumed this dual-slot unit would blow air out of the case so fast that the sides of my tower case would buckle in due to the fact of the decompression. Nope.

Quiet. I power it by way of a speed-varying potentiometer, simply because I was worried about generating my box too noisy, but even at full speed, this fan is whisper quiet. I thought this was an EXHAUST fan. It is not. It's INTAKE ONLY. Reversing wires does not reverse the fan's direction. Also, people talk about flipping it over to blow this way or that. It doesn't function. When I flip the fan more than in its bracket, it hits the PCI slot. So, actually it only blows air in, and only in 1 direction. The LED light is dumb.

This thing is cool. It removes (a lot of) heat from the slot area. I put this in a hot custom (VoIP) telephone server box with heat problems. It works, you can feel the hot air leaving.Quiet, I can not hear this at all above other fan noise...It does not demand an actual slot, it gets power from four pin (drive) connector. I could do without the blue LEDs, but whatever. Takes two slots (which I knew ahead of purchase). It would be good if it had a speed control Hi/Low or some thing.I'll acquire this once more anyway. I'm going to order one more just to keep around, I'm a tech.Actually, this thing delivers (quietly).

Reasonably quiet. Blue LED. Superior CFM for the noise level. Low-cost. Blue LED, can\'t adjust fan position. You can flip the housing over and alter the takeup area, which is good. I have this in front of my GPU and the air coming out of the back is fairly warm, so it's performing a superior job.I gave it three eggs mainly because the fan isn't adjustable, and it is a 2-wire fan with no speed adjust.I'd give it another half an egg if I could. For the price, I think it's a good deal.

Does what it is suppose to,sucks alot of air seems like a lot more than the 5 120mm case fans and has already knocked my p180 case temp down 8c to 31c and my 4870 down 2degrees to 44-45c.DOes the job! Led looks ok would be far better if it filled the entire factor rather of just the fan but still looks ok. Definetly worth the cash.Alittle overpriced and larger than I expected but no worries

The orientation of this PCI cooler works terrific for cooling the back of your GPU at the same time as moving lots of air out of the case. NOISY. In the end I decided to yank this item from my method. The noise from this cooler negated the rewards IMO. 16dBA? Get actual. This factor is louder than a high end GPU at 100% fan speed. If you already have a noisy system and just want to move air out of your case, it's a good product for the price.

Moves a very good bit of air, has good LED. Very good mounting system that allows reversing the fan so that it sucks in air from above (grabs air from the video card). Mine would whine slightly while on, this is due to the speed of the blower fan ThermalTake is making use of. The whine was louder than my other fans (nexus/silen-x fans), so I had to remove it. It moved a lot of air, but my video card temps went down 2 degrees celsius. Not worth it in my case. I am assuming I have good cooling going on. =) If you want additional air flow in an older case and don't mind a slight whine, this is a Terrific cooler. I haven't discovered a item that is priced this nicely and cools as well as it does.

Good searching, sleeved wires, quiet, gets the job carried out. Still works following a year. Doesn't move a lot of air compared to others. Had this in a Dell XPS 400.
