Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Comment:
Good looking case. LITE! I don't fully grasp the comments about the materials. It is exactly as described. Liked it so much I ordered a different for my kid's new gaming rig. Only concern is the holes (vents I suppose) at the best. It is effortless for dust to or anything else to fall right into the crucial components. Wish that wasn't there. But can't have your cake and eat it too I suppose.

I normaly use the Antec 300 for most budget builds but decided this time on the Thermaltake V3 and everything went ok. Had a bit of hard time getting the I/O plate lined up with the Mbo ports.Paid $37.95 for it so I'm happy with what I got and so is my cliant.

Comment:
Excellent cost, Good looking, not too gaudy or flashy incredibly functional. Came with additional bolts/screws for mounting. Straightforward to change and add items. No wire hiding grommets, points do really feel a bit cramped and i don't even really have a lot clogging up the case. Highly contemplate a modular energy supply if your looking into this case. i have identified myself with no exactly where to hide my cables(cleanly). I am also beginning to expertise some issues with the front I/O board when you apply pressure (i.e plug in a flash drive) it shorts out the computer and restarts it... Over all not a bad design, other than the shorting out i love this case ( i have triple checked my wiring i know its carried out correct) Probably 1 of the finest situations in this price bracket. Even though in retrospect i locate myself wishing they had added a little bit much more to this case, but at the price this case runs you i'd say thermaltakes carried out it correct. Pleased Building!

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:Side panel doesn't actually latch on. you HAVE to screw on for it to stay put.

Pros:Good airflow. low case noise.
Comment:
It is an excellent case. Light weight yet very low vibration noise. In fact a couple of times I had to check if the PC was on or off (my screen was shut off and I thought the PC was off, yup twice). Ventilation is awesome. I am running just with the stock fan, stock CPU and stock GPU fans. Yet CPU rarely reaches above 40 and GPU has not gone above 56. All this while running some intense apps.

-Affordable Price-Appealing Exterior Style-Lots of fan ports, also can mount fan on door of case.-Has Window Port I purchased this case for my 1st computer create ever. I didn't want to break the bank but wanted a great seeking and functional case. Nicely, I learned that even though you can get by on a low-cost case it's far better just to spend and added 30-40 dollars and get a good case.1# The best fan ports on this case are so low that depending on your motherboard at least 1 of the fans will be blocked by one thing on your motherboard. I was able to get around this by cutting slightly into 1 of my fans frames.2# The case doesn't genuinely have tool-less installation, there are only 1 tool-less "device" for each and every port kind and no others. Plus they don't function that properly at all, so I opted to get rid of them.3# The pci slots on the back of the case are not slotted. What I mean by this is that when installing a graphics card or other pci cards you have to break the cover for that slot off (which are pre-cut for this extremely reason). 4# The door doesn't "lock" like most do, will fall off without screws. Despite the fact that none of these complications prevented me from completing a successful first construct I wouldn't buy this case once more nor will I keep the case for my future second laptop or computer construct.

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:- Not ideal for liquid cooling setups (if the rad is to be installed inside, anyway.- For me, the fan that came with it doesn't like PWM control - it tends to just not spin and sit there. When it is set higher no issue, but at idle/low power it just sits. Meh.

Pros:- Looks sharp- Grille for PSU is a nice touch- Easy installation
Comment:
Great looking case, plenty of ventilation. I have a front sucking fan, the rear fan, and two "blow hole" fans on the top. Three hard drives are installed. The wiring is a bit dense towards the bottom of the case, but overall not impossible.

Cons:Only 1 fan

Good casing for the price, but comes only with 1 fan. You can put up to 4 120mm fans so kinda good for cooling and for OC.

Comment:
Incredibly lightweight, 1 of the factors I purchased this case. 1. Not a incredibly roomy case. 2. This case has two ports for 120 mm fans at the leading, even so they don't fit due to the fact the motherboard blocks the bottom.3. This case has room for five fans, but only comes with two.

Comment:
I have built numerous PCs, even so none of them had so light a case as this. I was astounded at the weight because most of mine are beige boxes or server size instances. The airflow is fantastic! I would ask for about 1ǘ inch extra height among the motherboard and blowhole areas, my mainboard blocks the two blowholes fairly properly. Incredibly light and excellent use of supplies.

has a lot of room for my enormous card. Simple and looks nice. lightweight - meaning it will bang up fairly straightforward.my pc is on the carpet. The bottom PSU unit is on a book so it can get air, otherwise its sucking carpet. Cost is nice. Works what else can you ask for. 5 eggs. its just what I was looking for

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:Kinda flimsy, not the quietest

Pros:Decent looking, sale price
Comment:
I ordered this pretty much b/c it was the cheapest decent looking case I could find at the time for a quick build for a friend.I normally avoid Thermaltake products, but this case was actually fairly decent for the price.I think it looks better in person than in the pictures. My only complaints are with the mini side window, I would have preferred not to have it at all, and with the case being fairly flimsy overall.

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:None

Pros:Pretty good airflowNice designAnti-dust (with the mesh on front)
Comment:
This is a great case overall. You can get them at ridiculous price and offers great air flow (which is what the case is about, right ?). Front view, you can see the mesh grill that won't let go dust in your cpu. You have also a small opening on the side that you can see inside your cpu. You can add tons of fan and design is pretty nice too. Some may say that it's a small case compare to some others, but for me it's good I move my computer a lot for lan gaming so it's very easy to transport Nothing wrong to say about this !

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:- Way too small, was a pain in the ass to fit a standard-sized ATX board in the case and I had to remove 2 optionnal fan I boughts for the top of the case in order to fit the motherboard, otherwise no way it could have got inside since it was way too tight.- Only 1 fan inside the case by default so you must at least get an intake for the front which raise the price.- The front cover was a huge ****** to remove and you needed to do something special to fit the power supply inside too.- Bad airflow by default since it's so small and only have 1 fan.

Pros:- Looks cool from the outside and it's black inside.- 1 Blue led fan.- Not expensive.
Comment:
You get what you pay for... overall cheap budget case that I will prolly not buy but for the price I've paid it was the less bad I could get. It's worth it though to pay a bit more for the Antech Three Hundred.

Cons:-quality is average-Tool-less function don't feel secure

Pros:-LED fan and bottom PSU mount-Price
Comment:
This is a budge case so its average. For its price, I think it does the job just fine. I like the LED fan and the bottom mount PSU slot, however, I would like more fan to be available. I didn't have any installation problem with a stock AM3 motherboard and AMD Quad core.

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: Need dust filters. Need more locking pins.

Pros: Good build, lots of ventilation spots, spacious interior.
Comment:
The case was built with superior quality yet still priced affordable. It's nice that it has a small side window. An open ventilation spot on the side and on top. Includes locking pins for one 2.5, 3.5, 5.5 drives so you don't need to screw your drives. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable yet quality case.

Pros: -plenty of room for fans-fits long video cards-good side window placement-simple + effective styling-large power button

owned this case for about a week, thought i'd try it out in one of my builds and see what it's like. Normally i HATE thermaltake cases but I was pleasantly surprised by this one.It is a cheap, light case but the design is decent and it has fabulous cooling. Looks not too bad either, the blue led fan is a nice touch. Not for someone that wants a durable case, or a quiet computer.

Cons: Dont like the side window.

Pros: Great quality and space for its cost.

Got this for $40 on sale for a budget build, very roomy has several extra spots for fans to have great airflow if you need it. Quite a large case considering how cheap it was, and it looks pretty good although I don't like the small side window.

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: Hard Drive bays aren't facing towards the side panel on the case, they're facing towards the Video Cards which makes it awkward to install anything larger then a GTX 460 into it.

Pros: SizeBlackCPU Bracket CutoutPrice
Comment:
The case is roomy, for the $39.99 I paid for this I wasn't expecting much but it blew my mind. The quality is great, the amount of airflow you can get out of it with additional fans is amazing. Can even throw an H50, 6850, etc into this case and still have room to spare.

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: The window gives an awkward view that shows the cpu off to the side. It doesn't show very much or anything worth showing the way you would want to see it.

Pros: All black paint, HD audio, exhaust fan, support for many fans.
Comment:
This case, for its cost, is very versatile. I've modded it slightly to support a 120mm fan in the 5.25'' bay and there is also premade spots for 6 more 120mm fans. It looks very good as well.

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: Not an easy build, tooless features are bad

Pros: Nice color, LED fan, very affordable
Comment:
This is clearly a budget case. That doesn't make it a bad case, but there are a lot of weaknesses. Firstly, to install an optical drive you have to remove a front panel. This is quite a pain. Secondly, the tool-less features are poorly made, not necessary and are inferior to traditional screws. For this price, you can't really complain. However, I would personally buy something a little more builder friendly.

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: Structure of the case was a bit flimsy; could wobble if you poke at it with your finger. o_oManual was lacking information; took me a while to figure out how to remove front panel. (you just yank it out by force.)Blue LED fan in the rear spins at very low speeds; hardly moves any air.

Pros: The case looks awesome.Very nice black finish, with many placement options for fans; 2 top, 1 bottom, 1 front, 1 side, and 1 (included Blue LED) fan in the rear.Nice side view window, small but for the price is good.Very easy setup.
Comment:
The case was an excellent deal, but quality was lacking due to price. However, the look of the case is worth more than i paid.Overall very nice case, very cheap, and cant go wrong with buying it.

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: Many:There are two mounts on the top for 120mm fans. The one further to rear hits my heat sink fan (just a very small stock intel 775 heatsink and fan) so this is just a stupid design flaw. The other top exhaust might hit your Optical drive (it does to many other peoples). This is just dumpThe rear fan is loudMounting the front fan requires taking off 4 screws, 2 of which are completely unnecessary. The "tooless design" only applies to 1 HD and 1 optical. This is a silly place to cut costs. The routing for the cables behind the mobo is foolish. There is almost no room for cables. Especially not for the 20/24 pin. You can fit a few USBs or other small cables but nothing significant.

Pros: Price. I paid 13.50.
Comment:
At $50 you're better with almost any other case out there. This has slipshod design written all over it. It'll take at least twice as long to build in this as a normal case just because of all the poor design choices. The cable routing will look horrible when you're done. A antec 300 would be a better choice around this price. If you don't mind the look, some of the nzxts would be too.
