Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: None yet

Pros: It was cheap, it looks great, swinging side panel door
Comment:
The only possible "weakness" is the little right angle bracket that holds the power supply in place. You have to take out two screws to remove it, then your install your PSU, then you place the bracket back on. I don't really see the point of this, as the PSU has screws holding it in, and the bracket doesn't stop the PSU from moving up (say if your case was put upside down or something, I don't know.).Great case otherwise.

Cons: Tooless things are useless

Pros: CheapLots of airflowblack interior!

I was amazed at this case when i took it out of the box, i didnt really look at it before i ordered it because I just wanted a cheap case. Black interior, tooless things (wouldnt use) bottom cpu, option for a lot of fans. Even a tiny window!Side pannel didnt feel so stable though. Great case for the price though

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: Rear facing HDD bays, narrow design leaves little place for cables, optional fan spots are obstructed.

Pros: Nice looks, lot of options, probably the best case for the money.
Comment:
This is a very nice case for the price. It is a bit narrow, I would have prefer wider with HDD bays facing the side. If you have a very long VGA card (ļonger than 10") you may be in trouble. The case comes equipped with a rear 120mm fan and has location for 3 more, one in the bottom, one in the front (of HDD bays) and one on top. All 3 locations can be hard to install, for instance my ATX board is too close to the top fan position and capacitors on it prevent from installing a fan there. The bottom one is just behind the PSU and the cables run all over the place. The front fan spot is better but you still need to exercise to get to it.The drive comes with a single 'toolless mounting bracket' which means you'll have to screw the other HDDs.All in all, it is a nice case, I like it but would have prefered more width.I fit 4 HDDs in it as well as a full ATX board and HD4870 card, I suggest modular PSU if you have the choice, fewer cables to run then.

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: - Not very easy to work with- Doesn't feel very sturdy

Pros: - Price- Good airflow- Enough space for a nice gaming system
Comment:
I've used a few of these in modest budget gamer builds as I find that the end results are good, although its far from my favorite case to work with. In fact that would be the best way to describe  this case: a very god end result in terms of space and airflow, but not your friend while actually installing parts. For the price, its tough to complain about, but I do find that this case takes longer to work with than other sub $75 cases. However when your budget is tight, the money saved by making this purchase this makes up for the minor difficulties that come from this no-frills case.

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: None

Pros: Understated good looksCheapSolid
Comment:
I bought this case for a budget build as it was highly rated yet super cheap. Don't let those pictures fool you, it's surprisingly sharp looking. Good amount of space to work with inside. Comes with only 1 fan though (rear exhaust) so might want to pick up a couple more if you wanna to keep your rig cool. It's a very basic case but for the price you really can't beat it

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: comes with only 2 standoffs which might be a problem for some motherboards

Pros: Great case, light, lots of ventilation, lots of space for fans
Comment:
Great case, light, lots of holes for ventilation. The holes make for a neat light effect when your fan is running. You can also add 4 fans to the case +1 that came with it. It's light and easy to move around. The front panel is a little annoying to unscrew/screw. Also note that the PSU is mounted on the bottom so make sure your cables are long enough to reach the top if necessary (for e.g. to power your mobo)

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: May have a problem installing the top fans if you have a large motherboard

Pros: Good priceAllows you have 5 fansLooks good9
Comment:
The thermaltake v3 is a good case for its price. You can have up to five fans, (one included with the case). The case overall feels flimsy but it is quite strong. The case itself looks pretty nice and light.A problem I have is that the bottom part of the front panel does not completely stick back to the case due to the 120mm fan installed, slightly blocking it.Installing a fan on the top part of the case might be a problem since it may block the motherboard.I have problems with the front headphone jack where I can hear static noises. This problem goes away if I use the audio jack at the back of the case.

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: Low headroom for installing Corsair H50 radiator.

Pros: Low price. Excellent quality of fit and finish. Lots of vents for air circulation. No problem with GTX 470 card fit
Comment:
This is an excellent value. I picked it up on special at NCIX Markham and was surprised at both the fit and quality of the case. No sharp edges and well finished inside and out. No need for brass mobo standoffs, as mounting is directly to the case via threaded raised punch-ups. Has a cutout to allow mounting of a aftermarket CPU cooler bracket under the mobo. The power supply is mounted below the mobo, at the case bottom (lots of vents). Case has 240mm x 120m venting on top and space for one 120mm fan. Fitting the Corsair H50 CPU water cooling kit was a bit of a kludge, but it did fit. Front audio panel header was a perfect fit to my Auzentech Prelude sound card.If you are looking for a low cost, good quality case for a new build or a reinstall and need a mid-tower, this can't be beat.

Cons: key buttons are cheap.

Pros: Nice fan included. Many case fan positions available.Good price
Comment:
This is a good case. I recommended this case. I also recommended to buy a 120mm fan and install to the front position. That can improve the cooling result. Take advantage to this case.

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: Lousy front panel design

Pros: Style, Great ventilation, one tool-less clip for each of HDD/DVD-Rom
Comment:
Not bad for a $50 bucks case. Case is light yet feels very strong. The built-in rear 120mm fan is also quiet. Awesome ventilation for AMD CPUs. However, I would give it a 5/5 if the front panel could come off easier. First you have to remove both side covers. Then the front panel has four screws locked in with weird looking caps that needs extra effort to remove them, which is a shame because it totally defeats the purpose of having tool-less clips after wasting so much time on removing the front panel already. My 6-year old Antec case was much easier to work with in this sense.

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: - cable management can be a bit painful- bottom mounted power supply (Preference)- no manual included

Pros: - Unfinished black interior looks slick- Pre raised drill holes require no additional brass standoffs- enough room for decent ventilation
Comment:
I bought this case for an i5-750 gaming build, intended to OC at 3.4GHz. First impression out of the box was that it was a sturdy case for the price. I also liked the look of the black interior. The only cons for me were the bottom mounted power supply and the lack of an instruction manual for important specs such as the max Height/width/length for CPU Heatsinks.Overall, I was happy with this chassis and I would definately reccommend it to anyone who is considering purchasing for their first build. Just download the manual off of thermaltakes website in PDF format. I hope this review helped!

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: There is no noise suppression, you will get every db produced by your build.

Pros: Sensible design which allows hot air to rise out through the top vents. Power supply is bottom mounted and it vents itself.
Comment:
Two things put me off about this case. The first being a lack of additional locks for hardrives and optical drives. My second beef is the front panel sound jack. When connected to the MB the case added a mid range tone over the working audio output. The tone disappeared when disconnected from the front panel and the mb back panel was used to jack in to the audio output. This is the second case in 1.5 months that I've used for a build that had some problem originating from the front panel audio of a case.

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: Bottom mounted PSU, you better be patient with all the wiring

Pros: Cool look with side windowLots of spaces for fan
Comment:
This case is pretty nice, with so many vents for fans.Plenty of room for HDD and other disk drives. You can even fit a 3.5 inch (for card readers maybe?) drive in there.Downsdie is, PSU mount is on the bottom, so wiring is a pain in the bottom. Took me about an hour to clean up all those wires. But overall this is a very nice case.

Good Case - minor flaws
Comment:
Pro - Lots of space - Good supply of cables (including 12V extension, which you will need) - Good ergonomis (Front panel connectors on top) - Good supply of screws Con - Heavy (try alumnium next time, Corsair) - Flimsy fasteners for 5.25 inch drives (same from all manufactureres). I use screws - No front plate for floppy drive - The hot swap drive bays only support vanilla 3.5 inch drives (no 10,000 RPM 2.5 inch drives with 3.5 inch adapter)

Comment:
excellent cooling but don't skimp on the fans . if you go with the H50 it will fit but not in any of the factory holes you have to off set it on the top adding your own holes and it barely fits but works great . keeps my asus m4a79xtd evo with a amd 955 at 44c under heavy load .

Great form and function. great value!
Comment:
I have nothing but good things to say about this case. It really exceeded my expectations. Years ago I discontinued using Thermaltake cases because they engineered some goofy designs. I'm not even going to mention the B.M.W. thing. THIS case however is completely Awesome! Black interior, gotta love it. They really stepped up the fit and finish in this model. It doesn't feel flimsy or cheap. Lots of ventilation, more than enough. I plan to do the Corsair H50 so it's gonna get even quieter than it already is. $60.!! HD front audio connector is cool. It has a symmetrical front panel with a couple of recessed switches on the left that you could mod to operate something. Overall it's great for the money. It was at my front door in 3 days and is my favorite case now. Specs: Asus Rampage II Extreme X58, LGA 1366, 920 6GB OCZ Triple.

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons: no

Pros: Its a case that comes with a fan. Looks nice. Has a cutout for the CPU fan for easy access. Lightweight, Airflow minded, sleek case. Great cable management ability
Comment:
Black interior. It makes the case look complete. The case looks more professional than cases that cost several hundred dollars because the un-treated metal looks so bland. It's as though the manufacturers don't take the last step because it's inside. Good airflow. Two top vents allow plenty of heat to escape. Simple clean design.

this case is amazing. i love the black interior. i couldnt mount the top fans, no big deal, great airflow. the bottom case fan i put in gives a great glow on my desk surface. one minor issue: my cpu 4-pin power connector has a tight reach to the top of the mobo, i dont like the cable stretched across my cpu cooler. otherwise amazing. way better than my old sagitta 2.
