Thermaltake VH8000BWS Armor+ MX ATX Mid-Tower Case - 230mm Fan
Comment:
-Massive case, a lot of room for tough drives, major graphics card, and wires-The fan system keeps my whole technique nice and cool-Runs quieter than my last case -With the large fan on the side, the inside of the case gets dusty simply, but with most circumstances, dusting out the inside is typical-The significant 23cm fan on the side has just began to go off of alignment and has started producing ticking sounds sometimes. This is after about 9 months of ownership, and I'm thinking about getting a replacement fan soon. This is a Great case for the cost. I definitely advocate it if you're a gamer/media junkie.

Its got great room to expand. The way you put HD's/CD drive's in is superb!I has adequate room to match the GeForce GTX 280.Cant tension sufficient how brilliant the ventilation is.The blue lights are darn attractive!...and dude, come on, ITS GOT METAL WINGS! No HD Audio cable in the situation? IDK.Nothing at all that tends to make a huge distinction. I adore the appear of this situation and with all of the major fans it tends to make me really feel a lot safer about possessing such a major card in there with an 850watt power supply. Very good air movement puts a man at ease!

excellent case for mod's Heads up on the Thermaltake's Armor+MX VH8000BWS and the VH6000BWS Situation. The Plastic side cover will crack if you hold it with one particular hand and flex the metal frame any quantity, so generally deal with this side cover with both hands on opposite sides. There is NO replacement for the plastic panel at this time per Thermaltake.

Thermaltake VH8000BWS Armor+ MX ATX Mid-Tower Case - 230mm Fan
Comment:
Relatively spacious, not fairly as much as a total tower, but I knew that when I got it. Quite good airflow, lots of practical esata/usb ports in handy locations. When the board is setup, the toolless style of the bays are actually nice. No much more hunting for screws, then takeing off the side panel for the other side, then putting the panel back on each time you will need a new drive ect. Hard to handle a lot of cables. No true place to location some straps to tie this down. You have to be seriously cautious exactly where you location the cables. If you have a substantial graphics card, you will have a tough time finding cables in between the card and the HDD bay slots. My gtx 260 card match with about 1Ǟ of an inch gap. Whilst it did match *phew*, it made cable management dicey. Not as well exciting, and you'll need to have to believe of your management Ahead of putting in your graphics card, otherwise you'll be struggling to get the card out to reposition cables. My only gripe is the cable management, the rest of the unit is pretty good, properly formed, and very fantastic air flow.

This was my initial construct. I am impressed with the top quality of construction and the finish of this tower. All elements fit particularly properly and the "look" of this unit screams "sturdy" and "indestructable". No cons. I will purchase this make of tower once again.

Comment:
"No tool" PCI, HDD and three.5 that operates and doesn't break for the duration of installation. Eye-catching and heavy. Lots and lots of room to make installation a breeze. Tricky drive chassis that didn't get in the way of MOBO or 2 giant video cards. All leads for the buttons and LED's were of ample length, with enough slack to form them nicely. With a large power provide in the top, this tower is sturdy sufficient not to be major-heavy. There's no danger of this dude tipping over. Tons of screws, tie-wraps, and so forth. for a pretty build. In this case it was excellent to have so many parts left over!Bottom line: full system develop in less than 2 hours (I'm an amateur). This case is roomy. Possessing it built and in place, I really feel the cost was appropriate. Contact me dumb, but I do not comprehend the "wings" in the front of the case. You have to open these "wings" to eject a ROM drive, yet they do not nearly cover the front when "closed." This is just weird and I have no clue as to the functionality of these issues. Again, I admit ignorance, but they appear like a gimmick. I'm fairly ready to be humbled by some logical explanation...This case is not silent. I, personally, love the sound of fans turning and computer systems computing. But I'm old school and worked in Telephony for years and years. I'm at home in switch homes (central offices). Just be conscious that there are some Big fans on this 1! In my case this is a pro - not a con.Oh, and the RESET button is definitely flush and nearly impossible to depress with a mere finger. Some may well discover this a boon, but I favor a simpler push. Be conscious you could will need some assist to totally depress the RESET switch. I dogged the preceding Thermaltake case I bought. It seemed incredibly flimsy and lightweight to me. I kept reading rave testimonials here about Thermaltake situations, so I took a different chance. This case is nothing at all like my other case. This a single is solid, sturdy, heavy-duty.This went into a develop for my wife. She loves the blue lights and the weird "wings." She's also excited about the "storage" compartment on the best. Sheesh. Also, I tend to avoid mentioning program specs in my evaluations. Newegg does an great job of delivering spec details. I merely assessment my experience with the product. This practical experience was a good 'un.

Solid buld, uncomplicated to assembe To little room for interface cable for harddrive - space is very limeted. I put Thermathake Energy provide and SATA energy connecters would break hardrive plastic connectors if case is forced t o close - has resorted to some junk connector which are a lot more flexible. The other concern is that my ABIT mb requires SYSFAN to be connected. The case utilizes power for back fan from major supply. I had to drop my old fan on the bottom of the case just for the sake of obtaining it in the loop. I would say that front panel could have more USB connectors and FireWire plug

Thermaltake VH8000BWS Armor+ MX ATX Mid-Tower Case - 230mm Fan
Comment:
Looks seriously cool, fits everything with some perform, large fan, good lights. Truly tool-much less outside of the motherboard screws. Every little thing fit, but barely. I feel it was a poor notion for Thermaltake to make the cables connect to the difficult drives from the ideal side of the case. It tends to make cable routing quite hard, especially if you have some IDE cables like me. My eVGA GTX 275 barely fit. I actually didn't believe it would fit, but when I removed the tricky drive cage, the card went in and the hard drive cage went in fine afterwards. Only like 1Ǜ" to spare although so I had some severe doubts. If you have a card longer than the GTX 275, appear elsewhere. The placement of the three.five" external slot is odd as it is up at the incredibly best above the five.25" drives. The clips for the PCI cards function, but they take some effort to make confident they remain. General a good case, extremely satisfied with it so far.

Comment:
Very sturdy case and lots of space inside. Solid cable management. Beautifully designed and wonderful lighting. I have an ATI 4000 series graphic card that vents internally and all the fans keep anything running cool. Top drawer can come off the tracks, but it is fairly simple to pop back in. Fan can get a bit noisy if you are concerned about noise, but I don't thoughts it. I purchased this case more than a year ago on a fantastic Cyber Monday deal from Newegg and it has been a good case. I also added a couple of Red CCFL light tubes from a different web page which apparently I am not permitted to mention and they add to the cool light show effect.

Comment:
Looks great. Some of it is solidly built. 230mm fan is incredibly noisy. A controller is a have to.The tricky drive trays are terribly created. If you open them up past about 35 degrees. You may possibly as nicely have broken them mainly because they will not close again unless you break it. One particular of mine came broken and 2 more broke. Only one was usable. The warranty for Thermaltake is nonexistent. I have contacted them various instances, and have waited months for any type of response. Thermaltake is worthless. Do NOT buy something from them for the warranty! I got an automated response each and every of the 3 times that I contacted them, and I got absolutely nothing immediately after that. I purchased it in April and I can't get a hold of any individual. Thermaltake doesn't see like they care about their consumers. They just want your money. I will contact them the moment much more, and if I don't get a response and replacement parts, I will in no way buy from them once again. Manufacturer Response:Dear Consumer,Thank you for your feedback. Thermaltake strives to give timely client service responses to every single and just about every email. this situation has anything that i was seeking for in it. It's cool but not outrageous, and the fans seriously assist maintain the method operating cool. idle is at about 28-32 and under HEAVY load from Crysis Warhead at max settings it tops out at about 45 (AMD 965 Black Box three.4) I like the blue =P but of course i always like glowy items... the only con that i can believe of is that when you turn the personal computer off, 3 LEDs appropriate by the power button remain lit... (idk if it's supposed to or not, but they do - absolutely nothing significant, i'm just saying) the fan 鴦mm) sounds like it could grow to be louder immediately after much more time, but as of now it's still quite quiet. all round I would certainly purchase this situation once more - really solid

Significant fans, a number of fans, ease of use, none This is by far the best tower I have ever owned. I certainly like it, and so does absolutely everyone that sees it! This tower has lots of room, and it is so uncomplicated to install a pc into it. This can even have liquid cooling, not that it needs it simply because the big and quite quiet fans cool this down very properly.

Top rated aspect that you can slide to place stuff in ended up popping off but could slide it back in location with no concerns. Alittle heavy but thats to be anticipated, i imply look at it! All round i like the situation, this is my initially laptop or computer develop but im seriously pleased with it, huge V8 cpu cooler and gtx 480 graphics cards simply fit, have two 140mm fans mounted on the bottom and the 230mm fan on the side seriously assists cool the cards with air (specially given that these cards run hot adequate to cook breakfast on them )

This situation is nothing at all but Wonderful. i just got this delivered right now and i enjoy it, clean and no damage. quite roomy and space for anything you want to place in it. my GF stated it looks attractive lol thats a plus. i strategy to add a major water 780i cooler to this case in about a week and ill nevertheless have space. I observed some critiques of this situation stating that there was some defects in the fans and the hardwere but i went though the complete point leading to bottom and identified nothing at all out of place, all and all if you want a sweet look to your rig and have lots of room for your toys this is the case for you. One small miner thing i ran into, when puting my 450W psu in, the pcie wire was 1" too brief to reach my graphic card cuz the mobo is mounted about 1" beneath the psu so i purchased a BFG 550w modular psu witch i was arranging on performing any way. i observed a critique saying he was upset cuz of the excellent of the case cuz he broke the HDD tray and the 250mm fan blade. i say as long as you are calm and take your time you will not break anything. just a tip if you get this situation put the front panel wires behind the drive bay bracket and down the back it gets them out of the way for finest air flow.

I employed this situation with a ECS A780GM-A Motherboard was preatty tight fit but i could still get my fingers in around the sides of the mother board. I also fit a thermaltake ruby red cpu cooler fit fantastic! This situation is a nice situation i am truly happy with it! When i opened this case from the package there was a loose screw on the major of the situation, i didn't feel something of it a put the screw in a protected spot considering i would locate where it goes! I continued on my create i had the case on its side and i was installing my psu and we heard one thing fall on the floor! i identified all the parts that dropped on the ground it was a white spacer that went to my huge side fan on the case. Come to come across out the missing screw went to 1 of my mounts for my side fan i got it all place back together and then went threw and checked for any other shed screws and got everything good and tight! That 1 was my initially CON wasn't that undesirable. My 2nd con is the removable tough drive cages BE Careful they don't bend back that far!!!!! i broke my 1st one they only open @ a 90 degree angle it was like a elbow bending back two far i had to break it to get it back in location Nevertheless Performs wasn't the case but i don't feel i applied that substantially force when i opened it! nonetheless was my fault ! My final thoughts on this situation are about the challenging drive cages once again i planned on using a ide tricky drive result in i was going inexpensive and didn't have income for a sata tricky drive. i believe these cages are more made for a sata cord i had a truly difficult time obtaining my ide cable to hook up to a tricky drive in the cage and back to the mother board! I would strategy on working with sata tricky drives for this situation! i appreciate this case i hope to have it for a long time :) Manufacturer Response:x_V_x,Please make contact with ttsupport@thermaltakeusa.com so we can replace the missing screw and the HDD mount

Cooling and Style...the case looks fantastic and contemporary with out all the childish additions of some instances. Cooling is extremely effective. There was space for an added fan at the leading of the situation. I placed a single there even though I don't really feel that I genuinely require it. Tool much less style is wonderful. Anything installs very quickly and speedily. The two doors on the front are made of strong steel and add a amazing touch to the situation. The 230mm cooling fan on the side has extremely vibrant leds. I've desoldered them and connected them to their personal dimmer. Other than that...nothing at all. What can I say that I haven't currently. This was my initial complete develop from the ground up and I believe this situation is wonderful for the project.

Great seeking situation with transparent side panel that lets you see all of your elements in action. The situation is incredibly sturdy and has a lot of room for expansion. Has a multitude of fans which keeps the ambient temperature in the case low. The fan on the side of the situation was really loud. I ended up disconnecting it due to the fact it didn't come with a fan speed controller. Cable management for the drives in the drive bay was a tiny wacky in my opinion. Wish they would have built in a speed manage for the side fan.

Great built case. I have purchased two of them and have had no concerns whatsoever. 9800GTX (fits with half inch to spare). Attractive situation, effectively constructed and developed. 1000watt thermaltake, MSI mobo, AMD quad 3.two, 4gb 1333, Large Zalman cooler fits effectively and looks awesome. Great airflow from HDD fan to oversize panel fan, to rear vent fan. Challenging drives fit nicely if you route the wires neatly (not that hard). None so far. Each came absolutely intact and working. No scratches and no cracked plexi. The box has a picture of it on the front and the UPS guy went nuts when he delivered. ha Great deal especially with the cost-free shipping and mail-in-rebate when it's offered. Fitting the difficult drives Ɠ WD in RAID ) was not as difficult as some have mentioned. Extremely uncomplicated to get to and route cables behind drive sleeves. Also, for those who do not like the plastic major (which makes it appear really aggressive) then you ought to have gotten the 8003 model without it as an alternative of getting this 1 and complaining about that portion. Also 1 of the Largest mid-towers I've seen right after checking dimensions of others. Can't go incorrect with this a single. May acquire one more just before they are OOP.

One of them there was missing hadware and the other the side fan was generating also a lot noise. Immediately after contacting Thermaltake over a month ago we are still waiting for the replacement fan and the missing spacer. Thermaltake would not ship the replacement fan unless they had the original. also if you are going to place a Asus Rampage II extreme in this case you will not be able to access 3 of the raid connectors. this mobo is also extended for this case. If you are shopping for the Rampage II is far better to keep away from this case. Manufacturer Response:Dear Client,You can request for advance RMA service. If you like to get the item initial. The top rated is created of plastic, and taunts you with that "not a manage" sign. also had a manufacturing flaw where the reset wires where shorted out, that expense me a motherboard. If like me you have your situation below your desk and maintain banging it with your knee, this one particular will do effectively. All i hit now is the tough front guards as opposed to a flimsy plastic door.
