Good item for the right machine
Comment:
I have a Dell Inspiron and although the card fit in the machine, the connectors have trouble because they are horizontal and hit the sides of the slot. Some fit, some don't. That's really my only complaint. Other than that it has functioned very well and been a good card for the price.

USB - FireWire
Comment:
Bought this board, am pleased with it. Plugged it in and went to work. Added four additional USB ports to my computer and FireWire that I didn't have. Don't have anything yet for the FireWire ports.

Does what I need and does it just fine.
Comment:
I bought two of these. One for my son's Dell Dimension 2400 and one for my Optiplex. My son makes stop motion video and I compose the music. We needed firewire ports. I put these in and they worked fine from the start. I have to agree, I had a bit of a time getting them to seat in the slots.

Works, but dimensionally incorrect
Comment:
Had to tinker with the L-bracket to get this card to install and seat properly in the motherboard.

Good card
Comment:
The card would not work until I attached a 4-pin floppy power cable from the power supply to the card. Then it worked fines. Fortunately, my computer's power supply had extra floppy power cables available.

Worked Perfectly!
Comment:
Used this on an older Compaq Presario that only had USB 1.1. Immediate performance increase, all USB ports worked correctly. Firewire worked great with a Third Gen iPod, charging worked as well!

Could'a been worse
Comment:
ULT40109 was well packed and promptly shipped. The card was readily recognized by Win XP; not so with Win98FE. Vendor sent a CD containing Win 98 drivers which did not completely solve the Win 98 recognition problem. Took several days of trial and error effort to load the Windows drivers needed to have Win98 recognize the USB board. The positioning notches on the USB board did not match the Prosignia 330 motherboard socket very well. This required a fair amount of force to seat the card and resulted in some bending of USB board's rather thin steel end plate.

Good Card, Not Without Issues
Comment:
I put this card into my Windows Home Server. Drives are recognized right away, no problems there. But everytime I need to reboot the server, drives go missing until I unplug and plug back in. I've seated it in multiple PCI slots with same results. Great card if you never have to reboot.

Works Just Fine
Comment:
Yeah, the metal is a little soft and you have to be careful in the spacing in the case cause it can be a tight fit for the connectors however....XP recognized it properly and it installed fine from the start. The card works great with Firewire and USB without any hitches. Excellent product and a great seller of their products.

Excellent Value Multi-purpose card
Comment:
I have installed 3 of these so far and all have been recognized by Win XP. This card saves space because it replaces separate USB Firewire cards. I was unable to find any card with this many ports at this price

functional but not well made
Comment:
I was not happy with this card. Even though it works right out of the box the USB jacks on it are made poorly enough you have to wrestle them in. CHEAP!

Caution on this one!
Comment:
The major problem I had with this is that since the USB ports run horizontal, they are too close to the edges of the opening in the back of the computer for the card. I can't plug in a USB plug because it actually touches the sides of the slot opening and grounds out the card. I had to run a cable from the port on the inside of the computer out to a USB hub to make use of the card. Other than that, it dropped right in and took off. Oh, and I couldn't get the header plug to run my built in card reader on the front panel.

I bought this card to connect my Sony camcorder to my PC using the firewire port. Everything worked perfectly. If you need a firewire port and extra USB ports (and who doesn't), this card is perfect. I can finally capture my video digitally.

I bought this product mainly for the firewire and it did not disapoint. I have bought a cheaper one in the past and it did not have the right drivers with it and did not work properly. This one loaded up right away and works perfectly.

What a deal!
Comment:
Simple plug in, no software needed worked in seconds. Installed in my G5 Mac tower and up and running. May even purchase several for clients of mine as I do MAC consulting and repair and this adds a load of new, USEFUL, ports to our systems. Dont often find MAC friendly stuff here, so when I do I am happy to praise it
