I found the little snap-in plastic stand-offs to be a bit lacking. I had to twist the fan back and forth several times to finally seat it well enough. I thought maybe I used too much CPU gel, but really don't think so. It's the same amount as all the other systems I've built. Once installed though, this CPU fan works just fine.

I am using on a D965 3.73 GHz chip and it does just great. At first I thought it was creating a lot of noise but it turned out to be the GPU fan; this thing is very quiet. Installation was a snap.

This is absolutely the quietess cpu fan I have had and does such a good job cooling my dual core P4 3.73ghz processor!!!!you would think the system was down if didn't know different...Try one you will like it....ELL very satisfied...

The only problem so far with this fan is that it takes up so much space in the case that I have to be careful to make sure that cables don't get sucked into and tangled with it, but that's easy enough to do if you think of it.

I recently bought an Intel E8400 3g CPU. I read some reviews that siad while the CPU performed exceptionaly well, the supplied fan left a lot to be desired. The Ultra X-Wind CPU fan certainly provides efficient cooling, is quite quiet, and great value for the money.

I used this fan and OCZ freeze. I noticed a big drop in CPU temps but could be the fact that I didn't seat the original OEM fan right? I don't know but this combo did reduce my CPU temp for sure (by quite a bit). It was a tight fit but it fit without any issues. Worth the money.

This fan has helped me out so much, im running a core 2 duo e4700 2.6ghz processor that recently has fried and overheated numerous times, so since I do no overclocking, I changed out the stock heatsink for this one. The fried CPU used to idle at 81c, and now it idles at 35-40! Obviously the previous fan I had was extremely poor, but I didnt expect such a drastic temperature decrease. This fan is BIG, and its works GREAT because of its size and design, I love it. Fits fine in my intel DG35EC microATX mobo (which is a real tight fit, if it fit in mine ill bet itll fit in urs) Thanks you guys and ultra!!! Fast shipping as always too!

I placed this on a Dual core Hyper threaded Pentium and I idle at 30c! When I am playing games and really using the processor it only goes up to a max of 36c. Very good fan for the money.

installed on 3 computer, temperature at IDLE is between 28 an 39 on E1200, E2000, E2200...i what have one of this for my E5200. Quiet, work great, easy to install, and low price...why use intel cpu fan...buy OEM cpu and use this one !!

Had this fan less then four months and it started whines real bad called ultra win,they sent me another one,I put this fan on and it whines to when you first start the computer then after a couple of minutes it quiets down

had this on a amd 5000+ black edition o/c to 3.1ghz idled mid 40c's and went up to 50c poor cooler....the Rosewill z1 it a much better buy got one for $24 and idles my cpu at 33-35c

Yeah Yeah it's a fan that will just cool your cpu but, not all that great if your trying to keep temps down though. You get what you pay for.

This is one of the quietest fans I have ever seen! Not only that, but it keeps my quad core Intel completely in the safe zone no matter how hard I push it. On top of it all, it is a work of art and a shame to be kept locked in the case!

It a great fan. Keeps my other pc's Inte Pentium Dual Core 2.00 GHz Very Coll. Only 21C! The fan sometimes stop when I turn the pc on. It onlt did it twice so far but Its been woing good so far for now. Its very cheap, I almost broke the aluminum fins.

You cant really beat that price there. That's the main reason I bought this fan. Was planning to use this to cool down my 3.0GHZ Pentium D (AKA THE SUN) due to the stock cooler not performing to my liking. The cooler base when in easily and was firmly in place, but the fan did not work well with my mother board as the metal clip would be obstructed by the on board heatsinks and fans surrounding the CPU. That was a bummer, but my own error. The fins on the cooler are easily bentable so handle this thing like you would an egg. The cooler is about as wide as a grape fruit, but since it has somewhat of a cone shape the fins may not be as big as a problem as the metal clip is for some motherboards.

To install we didn't want to break the motherboard so we popped out the attachments on the frame of the fan and used screws from my previous fan. This worked just fine. What should have been 5-10 minutes to install took 1/2 hour. Great value just a little design modification needed here.
