Really Great
Comment:
I have installed a few octopus power supplies before and they were knuckle-busting, finger-slicing, oath-invoking monsters to work with. Why does the case seem big until you try to replace the PSU? This was a pleasure. Remove the old PSU and plug the cables to the board and components. Then, while the PSU is OUT OF THE CASE, plug them into the modular plugs and mount the PSU. Magic! Great value for the $$. It is quiet and has a powerful fan. Sleek looking. I will never buy anything but Ultra modular PSUs again. A great product.

Works Great
Comment:
Now that I'm using modular power supplies, I don't think I'll every go back. There is so much more room in the case when those extra wires are only added when you need them. Better air flow keeps the components cooler (duh!).

More energy effiicient
Comment:
I have my computer plugged into a battery backup. The only thing I changed was the power supply. The back up went from 10 to 18 minutes of usage time. The original power supply was 500 and this one is 600! Plus now I have a lifetime warranty!

Solid American Product
Comment:
Truly modular, even MB power connector which is modern 24 pin, is a connector, and very few cables in uncluttered system to block necessary airflow. 130mm bottom mounted fan is temperature controlled and very quiet. Very little heat from rear of case out P/S grill even after 14 hours of operation. Has the Amperage at +12V of 36 amps that my new Asus M4N78-Pro motherboard requires, my 600W Zalman, returned for repair after less than 2-years, could not muster the amperage to even boot the board; life-time warranty a big plus for a business owner. Find out amperage draw on boot-up for any motherboard and P/S combo you want to buy. Not a foregone conclusion anymore with so many power hungry add-ins in today's systems. Very satisfied to date. Ultra appears to be a top brand, have bought their memory and external HD cases with great success.

Overall amazing deal from Tiger and Ultra. First Ultra PS I have bought but I can tell you it will NOT be the last!

Even Better Than I Thought it Would Be
Comment:
This was my first after-market power supply and so far it is excellent. The cables are not only more compact, but also longer than the ones that came stock. This was really helpful since I really had to wrestle the original 20+4 to keep it from coming in contact with my heat sink. The new one went around it easily. There are also plenty of slots still available for future expansion, but the great modularity means they aren't blocking airflow by dangling uselessly in my PC in the meantime.

Good but watch out
Comment:
I thought I had 2 bad motherboards because of this product. The main motherboard cable that powers the motherboard had the printing on it backwards so I installed the cable backwards to start and the motherboards wouldn't boot. I switched it around on 2nd motherboard figuring that you couldn't have 2 bad boards in a row and it booted. Great product beyond that.

I've had the X3 for about 2 months now. Runs my Dell Studio Core 2 Quad w/GeForce 8600 512Mb DDR3 graphics card with no problem. The plug-in cables keep unnecessary cords out of your box. Comes in handy for a smaller box like mine. Great buy.

Had a X2 550w modular supply that took a poo after 2.5 years so Ultra sent me this as a replacement.Works great. I gotta say Ultra did try giving me a 650 watt power supply (with the rat nest of cables)but I told them it was for my HTPC so they divvied up this one.Its very quiet, I love modular.

This is one heck of a power supply for $99.99 you can't beat it, it does make just a little bit of noise but... that is expected with the giant fan on the bottom love the modular design leaves alot of space in my case motherboard connector is 24 pin only but in my case it doesn't matter but if you have a 20 pin motherboard you need a different power supply it has a 4 and 8 pin motherboard connector which is great if you ever need to upgrade.... GREAT JOB TIGER!

You do pay a little extra but this extremely versatile 600W modular power supply. I currently have a E7200, 2 9800GT's in SLI and a WD Velociraptor on my rig and the thing does not even sweat! It is a great buy and give you all the flexibility you need in building a budget or a higher end system.
