I got this PS as a replacement of my unreliable older version. Ultra has THE BEST customer service I have ever dealt with. Easy install, plenty of cables and very rock solid. Its a little pricey but you get an excellent warranty.

GAOK I sent a review earlier today 9/29/08 It was all correct, but I just called ULTRA, and they were very sympathetic. They gave me an up grade Power Supply. A 600 W Modular, and paid the shipping, so I feel better, Heres hoping that they have solved the fan problem. GAOK

Hey I have a major question regarding this power supply. In the picture on the main page it shows the PS has 4 6pin connectors but when you look at the enlarged picture from the top of the page it shows that it only has 2 of them. Those of you who already own this PS please help me out. Thanks

Only time will tell. A good PS should last 3+ years of hard gaming. This unit is expensive, so I have high expectations, but I think it will live up to them. As long as you feed it good cold air, it should live a long useful life. I love the modularity. It couldn't have been simpler or cleaner to install. Also very quiet. If you're going to pop for this expensive unit in a gaming or overclocking rig, I recommend you put DS-5 Gold protective oil on all the connections to prevent oxidation.

Ultra Rocks!!! I had Ultra X Connect for 2.5 years and it worked like a champ. Finally, 2.5 years later it started giving me problems, - would not power up anymore. I called Ultra, and they replaced the PS since it was still under 36 month warranty. They sent me this 600 W X 3 PS to replace my 500 W X Connect. Excellent customer service. Will buy more Ultra products!!!

Worked fine initially, but lately it's been a bit troublesome. The power supply is quite and I really like the modular design. I have an ASUS P5W DH Deluxe motherboard, Intel Quad Q6600, 320GB Sata II HD, 2 GB PC6400, Wireless on board, wireless USB receiver (for DH remote), USB Receiver for Keyboard and mouse and a 512MB HIS Raedon video card. There is also the CPU fan and two case fans and a IDE 20x DVD Burner. The power supply should be able to handle this without problem and normally does. However, lately when I boot, it get to the logon and sometimes beyond, then it shuts down and will not power back on until I turn the power supply off - wait a few seconds - turn it back on and then the PC boots (sometimes it takes three times).

My previous power supply was 550 watts. Standard PS in the $60 range. After two years it died and I replaced it with this energy effecient model. I'm running a dual core with 4HD's, two DVD drives and the hottest AGP card I could get. Before the exhaust from the power supply was quite warm to the touch. Now it's almost ice cold. No more cheap power supplies for me.

It is hard to believe that this power supply is any lower than a 5. Just for anyone looking for a 600 watt PS. This thing is a great product and it is a beauty.

Bought this for my HTPC, its a big power supply, as in it takes up some room in my case, but it looks awesome, gunmetal rules! and the modular design is a godsend!
