I bought this power supply for a new build, I had to call Ultra customer service due to the plug from the power supply to the motherboard was broken, I called on monday and by thursday I had the new plug and the system up and running by Saturday. It can handle 2 BFG 9800 GTX+ 1gb video cards in SLI.

I love the modular flat cables and power capacity of this PSU. ULTRA even provides an extension for the 4x2 CPU cable -which I had to use since I botttom-mounted the PSU in my Cooler Master HAF 932 case. Only concern is that my CPU voltage is a bit low, acording to Intel's Desktop Control Center. Not dangerously low, but occasionally going from green to yellow on the indicator. I don't know if this problem is due to low voltage from the supply or a voltage drop because of the extension. So far there have been no problems exhibited on the computer because of this so it may not be of consequence.

I have yet to receive this Power Supply. I am giving all 5 stars however due to the superior customer service I received. This unit has been advanced returned to me since the fans in one of the 800 watt ultra power supplies that I had both stopped working. I'm 10 months into my 36 month warranty on that one. It's no longer in stock so this one ( 50 Watts more, and modular vs. the one I had wasn't) is on the way. A+ to customer service , A+. Will definitely purchase more Ultra Products!!

This has been just a ''Black Diamond'' in my computer case, it has a slick finish, the entire thing is modular and it runs my computer like a dream, I look forward to buying the 1000 Watt by Ultra X3 and putting that into my other new computer. And I hope it will last for a long time.

I just had to RMA an old X3 550w to Ultra because it fried out of the blue, (I guess the voltage protection didn't kick in). But what I can tell you is that Ultra went above and beyond for my RMA. After waiting a little over a month for an newer X3 650w I called and asked why I hadn't received it, I spoke with an amazing customer associate named Shawn, he informed me that the units were on back order. A little un-pleased and upset Shawn told me that he was going to take care of the matter and once he got back to me form being on hold he told me that I would be receiving a brand new X3 850w PSU form Ultra. I am pleased to say that his customer service was amazing and it will keep me using their products for years to come. A+++++ customer service. Thanks once again Shawn at Ultra

I bought this psu 4 days ago, it was my first modual psu i've ever had..it's amazing how neat it is. i had a 800 watt power up that came with my last case, it was good but i didn't like all the cables coming out it was ugly and the airflow was terrible. this moves serious air and the cables aren't all over the place or in a ball next to the unit. the only problem i had was the p4 connection wasn't as long as i would like it fits but another 2 inches would've been better.

Same price as the 800watt model. Register the product on the Ultra web site for the lifetime warranty. Love the flex force cables just use what you need. The 135mm fan is very quiet. The four pin motherboard connector is on the short side for my Asus P5N-D and Nzxt mid tower case (the power supply is place on the bottom of the case) almost didn't make it. Very practical product But a lttle pricy. You get what you pay for. Highly recomended.
