Stylish frame and higher-gloss black finishASUS reputation for excellentSuperb picture VGA and DVI cables incorporatedButtons are quickly accessibleMonitor settings are quite effortless to adjust (despite what some have said)Great worth for the income No HDMI input (expected in this size, but it would still be a good addition)Would have preferred a rectangular base to a round 1 purely for aesthetic motives (no biggie, the round base is stable and functional) I bought this monitor to replace my old non-widescreen 17" LCD that died and I'm glad I picked this particular model. 20" is a fantastic size for common personal computer use with out going overboard. If you do a lot of gaming you may want to bump up to the 21.5", but for my use (mainly net browsing and school) this monitor is lots huge. Widescreen is amazing for watching Tv & motion pictures online and this monitor has outstanding image quality. The monitor does show the ASUS logo and input selection for a couple seconds when you initial turn it on but I don't locate this annoying. The buttons for altering settings & the menu for these settings are straightforward to use regardless of a couple of complaints right here, not positive why any individual would complain as I have observed far worse.I've had great success with the ASUS mobo and video card in this machine, and this monitor did not disappoint. Their solutions look to be extremely properly created, of excellent top quality, and come in sturdy packaging. Arrived from Newegg in three days. No complaints!

Crisp glossy display, vibrant colors, can't beat the value. Also, it looks very good on a desktop even when it's off. You actually have to play with the setting to get it how you want it. Newegg got it to me in two days. I can constantly depend on them to get me what I want swift

Comment:
The monitor is fairly vibrant, and came with no dead pixels. Definition is relatively excellent. Comes with preset configurations that can be customized with buttons on the monitor. Constructed-in speaker are a nice function for backup if your main speakers break, but don't plan on using them regularly, they don't have excellent quality. -Tech support wasn't in a position to give me an explanation for this, but if you connect your monitor with a VGA cable, you will have to preserve the brightness at 100%, or the monitor will emit a higher pitched buzzing sound. This is not a problem with DVI cables.-Some of the preset configurations don't look really fantastic, I discovered that a slightly modified "scenery" configuration gave the leading colors and suited me much better.-The buttons are positioned in a somewhat counter-intuitive fashion.-The dead pixel policy is not the highest quality, a organization like ASUS must have a dead pixel policy and fully assure the high-quality of their products (see http://support.asus.com.tw/repair/repair.aspx?no&SLanguage=en-us) It takes a tiny bit to get employed to the 16ɍ ratio, but in a couple weeks of use, you won't even notice it any longer.

The image is sharp and bright. Color/contrast is great - but I haven't watched any moviesǙD games on it however. Glossy frame looks good. The Energy LED is not as well vibrant :) (and is blue). No dead pixels The frame might be a bit think ླmm on the sides), but doesn't bother me. I have not used the menu method, the auto-adjust performs wonderful. I also have not tried the speakers.I have it as an external monitor using the ATI Mobility Radeon X300 (mobile) graphics card, the native resolution is supported (using VGA)I will order a second a single soon.

-No dead pixles.-Compared to my five+ year old Dell 17" monitor this thing is significantly larger.-Effortless to set up.-Preset modes (Gaming, Theater, Common, Night View, and Scenery) that adjustments the brightness, the color, ect ect.-I only have headphones so the built in speakers are a plus for sharing videos with buddies, rather than getting one particular individual put on the headphones whilst the other hears nothing.-Bought it while it was on sale (Black Friday). Speaker high quality is not amazing but I would assume if your searching for fantastic sound quality you would look for speakers not a monitor. This is a good upgrade if you are seeking for a greater screen and nevertheless excellent quality. It will not beat the fancy 1080p monitors that come with HDMI but for the price tag (at least the Black Friday cost) it was nicely worth the income.

Decent monitor for the price tag. Shipping was rapidly as constantly. The higher gloss bezel is tough to preserve clean. Speakers suck, but can't anticipate significantly from built in speakers. OSD is a bit clunky, but still useable. I would obtain these yet again.

1st off, WOW on the clarity. I am really pleased with how crisp the image is. Also a lot of choices for visual appearance. I adore options. Makes me feel like I get to customize almost everything.Piano Black is constantly sharp hunting. Assembly is 1 step. Very nicely packaged also. No damaged pixels. I just connected by means of a DVI port on my new XFX GeForce 9800GT graphics card and graphics just went by way of the ceiling! Surely a Good get Only 1 fault in my opinion. It could be thinner but this isn't a two,000 dollar LED either so it wasn't expected to be paper thin. This is my 1st ASUS monitor and to be honest, I wasn't positive what to think. I am pleased and will be purchasing an additional to dually hyperlink. Presently I have this connected via a DVI port on my new XFX GeForce 9800GT graphics card.

It's a extremely vivid monitor. This is the very first monitor I have had to ramp down the brightness to under 50 just to keep looking at it, and that was in the day! Contrast and color are nice. Comes with almost everything I needed; DVI, VGA, and speaker patch cable. I like the appear of the front buttons, and the power LED is not outstandingly bright. I also like the capability to switch color and contrast profiles with a single button. None. Vertical resolution is a little cramped. I am coming from a regular 4ɇ aspect LCD monitor with native resolution 1280x1024 to 1660x900, so it requires some acquiring used to. Once you study to trade some height for lots of width, its effortless. This monitor came with no dead pixels. It does have a stuck pixel, which I periodically rub away (gently!) and it is beginning to keep gone longer.

Comment:
Higher top quality image, super economical, comes with VGA and DVI cables, has speakers (if you just require straightforward sound), distinct color schemes for varying scenarios activated with the push of a button, OSD for creating settings adjustments is easy to use and thankfully the buttons are mounted on the front. No HDMI, low-powered speakers, no 1080p, only a uncomplicated adjustable stand tilt only (but for the price tag of this monitor it wouldn't even be fair to anticipate something diverse) Managed to get this guy during the Black Friday sales so I got a sweet rebate which created the monitor even less costly. Due to the price my expectations weren't as well high but color me shocked. The image is vivid, crisp and extremely adjustable with handy OSD controls. It's got speakers, albeit low powered ones. And what's this, a VGA and a DVI cable, I've observed much more costly monitors that only came with crummy VGA cables, that's amazing. If you're looking for a HD monitor that supports 1080p and HDMI for Higher-Definition playback appear elsewhere but if you want a high-quality great looking widescreen monitor for playing games and what not you can't beat this guy's low cost.

It was straightforward to assemple and as soon as installed, you notice quickly the picture is really vibrant. Good seeking monitor, and I like the screen size. I located it to be a bit as well vivid. To me, the places which were white (background or text or pictures) appeared to have a slightly washed out appear. Perhaps since it's really bright. Nonetheless, I had to function with the On-screen Adjustment manage which I seriously hate. It's not easy to perform with, the style to move from control to manage is frustrating--must be significantly smoother. Thus the 4 rating. At least it is possible to make adjustments and only time will inform if every thing operates effectively. General, I'm pleased.

Great monitor for the value. Extremely vibrant, but has clear image by way of DVI and is way greater than my previous monitor. It's a lot wider than I anticipated, so make certain you can deal with a weird aspect ratio just before you obtain this. Stand appears somewhat cheap, but it isn't wobbly or something. No dead pixels this time which is just astounding right after my final monitor arrived with 3 dead pixels and the manufacturer refused to take it back. Overall a great monitor for the price, but probably not one you'd want for high overall performance.

Excellent color balance and contrast ratio. Preset setting for movies/gaming/etc. 5 in all. Plus as significantly custom image control you could ask for. My wife works at a photo studio and this screen is additional reliable for true color than the plasmas at her work. I use it for gaming and Enjoy it. Constructed in speakers are sub-par but thats to be expected I guess. Also the menu can be a small tricky to navigate because of the button dual usage. Wonderful get. No purchasers remorse here, at all.

Not inclined to be satisfied with this monitor, but couldn't beat the price tag on Black Friday with an additional ฮ rebate for a 20" LCD bring it to about ๠. Offered of course I get the rebate sent to me. Dead pixal and would not work on XP Pro/SP2. Tried VGA and DVI cables. The personal computer would boot up and get to the Windows screen and then just went black on me and would start out to recycle. I did get it into Safe Mode, but had wide black vertical bands against a blurry background. There are no drivers with this computer system and none on the Asus site either. Plugged it into my daughter's Dell with Vista and worked appropriate off the bat with no issues. Other then the dead pixal functions fine so far and not worth the shipping price to return for one pixal. Place my daughter's monitor (used to be mine anyway) back on the old pc and it worked fine.I suspect driver incompatibility was the situation.

Fantastic image, excellent price tag. My wife is the primary user. She was hesitant about getting a new monitor, but loves it now that she has it. Arrived rapidly and in wonderful condition. The sound from the integrated speakers is about what you'd anticipate (not also excellent) and seems to be directed away from the user. We've unplugged them and gone back to external speakers.
