Comments: This fan is sooooo quiet, I have to put my ear up to it while it runs for it to be audible.. only thing, it genuinely doesn't really feel like it's pushing 53cfm. But still, it genuinely makes no noise at all!

What can I say? It's a Vantec Stealth cooling fan! Practically silent, moves very good quantity of air and is dependable. Added one to case and replaced existing 120mm fan in case, now unit is almost silent except for PSU and CPU fans. None with this fan! Vantec fans rock! Their "stealth" line of fans are all nearly silent, excellent performers and dependable. Unless you want lights or UV reactivity these are the way to go if you are searching for quiet, dependable operation.

Comments: I love this fan. I have four of them in an antec Sonata case ~ A rear and a leading blowhole, and a front and a side intake. To be totally honest, right after I added filters to the intake and diverted the leading blowhole towards the back of the case, I can not hear the fans! I have them connected to a temperature sensitive fanbus and given that I have 4 120mm fans, they can turn at low rpms and still cool down a P4 3.0C overclocked to 3.five -> In conjunction with my Zalmon 7000-Cu, the chip idles at 37-40 and loads at 49ish.Fantastic fans, well worth the funds!

Comments: Quite quiet and it actually moves the air! Additional circumstances should be created with 120 mm fans. I utilised this 1 for my Antec Sonata. It is quieter than the one that came with it.

Double ball-bearing. Reasonably fairly. Moves LOTS of air. Comes with both drive & motherboard header connectors. None thus far. I've employed Vantec double ball fans for over 8 years now. Most have lasted AT LEAST 3 years of 24ǝ use for me. I install them on ALL systems I construct. The slightly greater cost is WORTH Each and every PENNY!!!

Vantec Stealth 120mm Double Ball Bearing Silent Case Fan - Model SF12025L
Comment:
I use this at the front of my case, correct in front of my three tough drives, to support keep them cool. It does indeed do so, and incredibly quietly. My program is now particularly quiet yet still really cool, with my hdd temps 27C - 29C. None I had an inexpensive 120 fan that was genuinely loud, whereas this is almost completely silent, at least as it's attached to the front of my case. I don't know what men and women below are talking about that it's loud for the 1st two minutes, or that it's loud at all. I also found it to be nicely built, feels solid.

Cons:Nothing special

Pros:Dual balls bearing

I use this in my Antec P182 in the upper front fan cage, controlled by the motherboard, so it's very quiet and if temps are rising while gaming rpm goes up to cool the video card and north bridge area

Vantec Stealth 120mm Double Ball Bearing Silent Case Fan - Model SF12025L
Cons:Price?? But hey you get what you pay for!

Pros:RPM to Noise ratio. Double Ball Bearing.
Comment:
I bought these (one 80mm and one 120mm) to replace the CM Blue LED Silent fans I had in the case. My case has no window so I really didn't need the blue LEDs. The front fan started getting really noisy so I figured I would just change em both. I have to say so far I'm lovin' these. They actually spin a little faster then the CMs I had but they are no louder and they DO move more air. Putting my hand behind the case I can really tell this 120mm moves more air then the CM did. All that and it's no louder! I assume the double ball bearings will you know... last longer too!

Cons:Louder than expected; almost annoying.Price

Pros:Comes with 3 pin adapterDual ball bearing for longevity
Comment:
I had decided that the front intake fan on my TT tsunami was not pushing enough air. after having it replaced with this fan, there is still little to no difference in temps. however, this may be b/c the front of the tsunami is blocked off with the front door.

Cons:Still a tad loud to be 'stealth'

Pros:Moves a good amount of air
Comment:
Compared to the SilenX fans, these are just a tad noisier the 120mm one I have is noticable in a quiet room when it is on full speed.

Cons:does not come with rubber mounting screws

Pros:fairly quietgood noise to airflowlifetime warrenty
Comment:
i have two of these inside my Antec Sonata case, one bringing cold air past the HDD's and the other removing the hot air out the back of the case. With the Sonata you can barely hear these fans. I am very pleased with Vantec Stealth fans. they push enough air without making too much noise.

Vantec Stealth 120mm Double Ball Bearing Silent Case Fan - Model SF12025L
Cons:Plastic screw threads get stripped after the first mount, but such is the case with all Chasis fans still.

Pros:Great CFMSilent operationLifetime warrenty
Comment:
I am replacing my noisy, vibrating, whining "Best Cooler" blue LED fans that only lasted about a year until they got problematic with these. Obviously, I like the peace and quiet, and the lifetime warrenty, two things I missed out on by buying the "cheap" fans before. A Great buy!

Vantec Stealth 120mm Double Ball Bearing Silent Case Fan - Model SF12025L
Cons:Expensive

Pros:Comes with 3/4 pin adapterDual ball bearing for longer lasting fan
Comment:
A friend got this for his case and I installed it for him. This fan certainly pushes a LOT of air. Because it's a 120mm fan and rotating at only 1500rpm, you cannot hear the mechanical noises not does it generate much vibrations. It pushes more air than 2 80mm Vantec Stealth fans. Since it pushes so much air, I'm pretty sure the higher noise rating (28dBA) is from the air flow.

Vantec Stealth 120mm Double Ball Bearing Silent Case Fan - Model SF12025L
Cons:CFM could be a bit higher in comparison to the SilentX

Pros:Quiet enough for most usersLike the 80mm version comes with separate connecting hardware fopr those needing a molex connector
Comment:
This fan does the job, if you are expecting something more dead silent than this look to the SilentX, but in more cases than with the noise tolerance levels. Sound dampening is really over looked, I see reviews made that I have to wonder where they are founded from. Like with any optimal performance, any type of fan that is silent shoudl be strategically placed to prevent dead spots and work in conjunction with other fans. I would try another one of these, with exception to the SilentX 120mm with a high CFM and lower noise level at a significant extra cost. This review was modfied by poster @ 06-27-05 04:10 PM

Vantec Stealth 120mm Double Ball Bearing Silent Case Fan - Model SF12025L
Cons:buzzes like mad in contact with anything, not the quietist fan out there, moves small amount of air

Pros:Its a fan, it works
Comment:
Had item for nearly a year, was pleased when I had volcano 8 as cpu heatsink, not so pleased now with a zalman 7000. It is easily the loudest component in my computer now. It buzzes loudly in contact with metal, required rubber washers to get rid of buzzing. My thoughts?? If you've got a computer that's already a tornado, this won't make much of a sound difference. If you've got something quiet like the zalman, then this fan will stand out like a sore thumb.

Cons:The screw were kind of big

Pros:No noticeable noiseMoves a lot of airCheap
Comment:
I did not use this fan for to long (do not need it plug in at the moment) but while it ran, it was very quiet and moved a lot of air. The only problem I had was the screw were to bug to fit into my case, I had to find other screw to mount it into my tower.

These are my second batch of stealth fans.I installed the first two of these fans on my Sonata case and am impressed with the results. I can run these fans at full speed compared to the ANTEC 120mm on the Sonata's fan only power connectors. If you want a fan that moves a lot of air with less noise than most 80mm fans I would recommend looking at this fan

Cons:Louder then some generic fansSounds BadDid I metion its loud... really loud

Pros:Moves alot of airCheaper then the silenx fans
Comment:
This is a good fan if your computer is not in your room. It moves alot of air but the problem with this fan is that it makes a terrible sound unless turned right down with a fan controller. It's not that steath at all, if you want a fan that is more silent i would recommend the silenx 120mm fan.

Vantec Stealth 120mm Double Ball Bearing Silent Case Fan - Model SF12025L
Cons:-none so far

Pros:-very quiet-strong airflow-use with a vantec nexus for best results
Comment:
This is a top of the line 120mm fan. I bought it to replace the loud 120mm fans in my thermaltake tsunami case it very noticably reduced the sound levels. I have these fans hooked up to a nexus 305 controller and they can be brought down to almost pure silent levels. These fans have very strong airflow and reduced my case temps by 2-3 degrees from my stock thermaltake fans. Highly recommened for anyone

I think this fan is a little bit overated, because I don't think its worth it's price. You could get a cheaper fan, that would have the same results.
