Vantec Stealth 80mm Double Ball Bearing Silent Case Fan - Model SF8025L
Cons:-not the sexiest thing out there

Pros:-Super Quiet-Nice cooling
Comment:
I purchased one of these a year ago, than got 4 more when ncix had a sale a few weeks later. I use all Zalman fans & Heatsinks in the 2 computers in my house and tell my friends to buy them too. Who wants a noisy case anyways?

Vantec Stealth 80mm Double Ball Bearing Silent Case Fan - Model SF8025L
Cons:Average CFM, no fan speed monitor.

Pros:Very quiet at 12v, hard to hear at 7v.
Comment:
Vantec has always created cooling supplies of excellent quality. The Stealth is no exception. From the moment of installing it in my system, I noticed how remarkably quiet it was. My CPU fan was noticably louder than this case fan. This case fan comes with a Molex to 3-pin adaptor, which gets 12v. If you like, you can simply connect the 3-pin to your motherboard if you have the appropriate plug for it (most do). Do a quick search on how to change the Molex adaptor into a 7v instead of 12v (very easy, requires no special tools), and whatever fan you plug into it will run slower (and thus, quieter). I used it for my CPU fan, because the Vantec Stealth was already quiet - though you can use it on the Stealth if you find it too loud (it will be quieter than 20DBA at 7v, and will probably push around 22CFM).I got more than I bargained for, thanks to the adaptor. Great fan if you're looking for silence. This review was modfied by poster @ 04-16-08 10:54 AM

Vantec Stealth 80mm Double Ball Bearing Silent Case Fan - Model SF8025L
Cons:none thus far

Pros:QuietFairly good CFMLifetime warrenty
Comment:
I am replacing my noisy, vibrating, whining "Best Cooler" blue LED fans that only lasted about a year until they got problematic with these. Obviously, I like the peace and quiet, and the lifetime warrenty, two things I missed out on by buying the "cheap" fans before. A Great buy!

Vantec Stealth 80mm Double Ball Bearing Silent Case Fan - Model SF8025L
Cons:3-4 pin adapter connectors are a bit lose.

Pros:Quiet, dual ball bearing.
Comment:
Extremely quiet. Bought one for side case and I can't detect any noise from it. my 3-4 pin adapter connectors are a bit lose. One of 4 pins completely came out but I fixed it by pushing the metal tabs out.

Vantec Stealth 80mm Double Ball Bearing Silent Case Fan - Model SF8025L
Cons:Bland Colour (doesn't matter in my case, it's not windowed)3 Pin Adapter doesn't fit tightly with the 3 Pin connector on Fan (seems like the 3-pin connector from the fan is smaller)

Pros:Quiet OperationSufficient Airflow for the noise level it generatesComes with 4-Pin AdapterGood PackagingLifetime Warranty
Comment:
Purchased five of these to replace standard Antec case fans that came with my Antec Performance Plus 1080AMG. These live up to the Stealth name, as they are much quieter than the Antec fans that came provided with the case.BIOS Hardware Monitor and Everest both show that this fan runs at 1975 to 2100 RPM, within the stated speed of 2050 RPM. Temperatures have dropped by 3-5 degrees depending on the room temperature, and the noise level is down! FYI, here's a comparison of the Vantec Stealth vs. Antec standard 80mm fan:Stealth / Antec StandardRPM: 2050 / 2500CFM: 27 / 17dB: 20 / 25As you can see, replacing all five of my case fans resulted in an overall decrease in noise and increase in airflow. If you want to load up your system with a quiet case fan, I recommend this without hesitation. There are a few negative things about this fan. First of all, it's black and it will not make your case look any better. Not a problem in my case as I don't have a windowed panel. Secondly, the 3-pin connector from the fan does NOT fit the provided 3-4pin adapter very well. It's far too loose and could easily come off. Third, it's somewhat expensive. The only thing I can really hear now is the Video Card fan (7600GT stock cooler)... But that's going to be replaced with a Zalman VF-900 CU shortlyCheck my review on that!

Cons:not much

this fan's great for the price, but the grill i have over it restricts airflow a lot, so i don't think it's actually pushing very much air out of my case.

Vantec Stealth 80mm Double Ball Bearing Silent Case Fan - Model SF8025L
Cons:Dba to CFM ratio is average

Pros:Good Cooling
Comment:
This compared to Artic Cooling Fan Pro2 is a bit weak. The AC Dba to CFM ratio is better. 25 Dba to 32 CFM. This ratio is better, but the fan is more costly. I'd still prefer Cooler Master compared to these two.

There's really not much to say about fans. Those are double-bearing fans, so they should last longer than ordinary sleeve-bearing ones.

Vantec Stealth 80mm Double Ball Bearing Silent Case Fan - Model SF8025L
Cons:- Doesn't feel like its moving that much air - Not cheap for an 80mm fan- No LEDs!

Pros:- Quiet- Good quality (doesn't have that cheap feel to it)
Comment:
Not bad if u want a quiet case and not a flashy one. Not a bad choice but certainly not worth the regular price of almost $10. I got it for the bundled price which was like $7.50 not bad I guess. Would recommend only for someone really wanting a quiet case and has a free 80mm fan slot in their case.

Vantec Stealth 80mm Double Ball Bearing Silent Case Fan - Model SF8025L
Cons:loud compared to superquiet fans needs an installation manual 4 newbs cuz i put the screws thru the front of the fan as opposed to the front ;)

Pros:Good speed, easy installation, Comes with three to 4 pin adapter
Comment:
bought 2 of these to quietize my case in spite of what pple said about the sound......they are louder than the panaflows or low speed fan however they are NOTHING compared to the stock cooler on my AMD 3000+. These will move air, but if ur looking to make ur cpu fan quieter get a new one. If anything these will moderate the speed of your cpu fan and i found out that it is the main source of sound from your computer.

Great fans, I've always bought these fans ever since they came out.I recommend them to anyone wanting a good quiet fan with good CFM. I've replaced many stock case fans with these for myself, and other people's boxes that I've built. Good investment for a small price. This review was modfied by poster @ 08-20-05 10:28 AM

Vantec Stealth 80mm Double Ball Bearing Silent Case Fan - Model SF8025L
Cons:some may arguably say they are still loud

Pros:Quiet, offers decent movement of air
Comment:
Despite the reviews of some, I found this fan to be quiet enough. It does make me wonder where the complaints about performance are, most likely the complaints received regarding this item were from defective fans. The key to optimal performance is having an idea where dead spots of air are, and how to work with forced air. It is understood well that as the lower the RPM, the lest CFM (movement of air) is lowered in comparison to noise. If you are looking for a quieter fan this does the job.

I installed this fan in my younger sister's computer to help remove hot air. The fan is quiet enough; whatever noise it does make is drowned out by the stock AMD cooler. It does its job well; I would definitely go for the Stealth fan again if I wanted to build another system.

Cons:None for this type of fan

Pros:Quiet, 3/4 pin connectors
Comment:
This is a good fan if you want to circulate some air in your case but don't want the noise associated with other fans. Obviously this fan won't move as much air as other fans out there, but it's great if you're not running anything incredibly hot.

Vantec Stealth 80mm Double Ball Bearing Silent Case Fan - Model SF8025L
Cons:None.

Pros:Very quiet, reliable.
Comment:
I've had one of these fans running on a 2.4C, 900u, in a Sonata for the past 2 years. The fan still runs very quietly, while the antec case fan is starting to wear out. Inasfar as CFM, the processor has been running at 3.4ghz since I bought it with temps never an issue. I've only ever met one person who claimed that these fans had a great deal of motor noise. I pointed out my system and asked him to guess what fan it was running. Surprise! He was repeating something he'd read on a forum. In short, it's a good fan. I usually use higher cfm 120mm fans now, but they're three times the price, so there's still a place for this.

I would not really recommend this fan unless you are a silent freak. It barely as any air coming out of it, but I guess you have to sacrifice noise for airflow, eh?

Pros:Quiet, cheap, easy install
Comment:
Its not the prettiest thing but it is quiet, even 4 months down the road the thing is just as silent as it was when I bought it ... it's solid performance, easy to install and very reliable. I have bought these for clients as well for an extra case fan. I like leds but if black is your thing, or you have no need for leds ... this is the top performer in my opinion. I give it 5 stars!

Looking for something quiet and that will still move some air? this is it! I have had one at the rear of my case for over a year and they hold up well. Just put one at the front of my case for my new 200GB Hard Drive. My over all my temps diffently dropped with these.
