Good value and good quality.1 stick is a big upgrade from 512MB to 1.5GB with XPNewegg got this part to me in below 22 hours without having rush shipping. This is how shipping need to be from NJ to PA. None Functions perfectly in aging Dell Latitude D600

Will let ya know when I get it. Isn't right here! For 1 tiny stick of memory I would believe an average of 3 days for shipping, shipped 12Ǜቦ nonetheless hasn't arrived as of 12ቧቦ. Maybe try using a much more reliable carrier for your shipment New Egg. IT has been sitting in the very same place for days now according to tracking.

Memory arrived nicely pakaged ,installed the memory as an upgrade for compaq presario r3000 . Wintec Ampo is affordable and normaly exceptional quality and was compatible with the laptop. Unfortunatly had to return for rma mainly because found to be defective. Unfortunatly the memory brought on the method to lock and to crash and the memory had an unusually high temperature when I went to eliminate it. Contacted manufacturer was once more informed that the memory was compatible. I was told by manufacturer that the memory was possibly defective and to return it for a replacement.

I put two of these into my three year old IBM T-42, uprgrading from 756MB to 2GB. They worked proper out of the box. Cheap memory upgrade compared to IMB (Lenovo) rates. None so far Made the laptop clearly faster, specifically on some of my graphic applications (Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop CS2).

It does function in my HP zv5000 Laptop. It does not perform when combined with the 256mb of RAM that came from the factory.Like the other posters I was receiving Blue Screens of Death, but only whilst multitasking or otherwise employing lots of memory. On the other hand, MemTest86 and Windows Memory Diagnostic couldn't discover any faults or errors.I updated the graphics card drivers, which changed the error message in the BSODs but made them a lot more frequent. I then updated the BIOS with small impact.Finally I removed the 256mb of RAM under the keyboard and voilà. No far more freezes, no much more BSOD. To get rid of the included RAM:(I'm not going to be responsible for your pc, but it's not too badƛ. Eliminate the 4 screws on the bottom of the case on the edge where the LCD attaches.2. Pry up the plastic piece above the keyboard - it has the power button and the top vents on it. It wants a little bit of pressure, but if it doesn't come off effortlessly check that you took out all the screws. The middle was the hardest component to snap out on mine.3. At the best of the keyboard are 4 far more screws. Eliminate them (careful - they're tiny) and flip the keyboard more than onto the touchpad with no destroying the ribbon cable. four. There's the RAM. I'm assuming you know what to do at this point.I'm tempted now to see if I can add yet another 1GB or RAM to that slot, but I don't think I use enough of the memory to justify it.

I bought two of these modules and now I have 2gb! Works fantastic and every thing is as described. High cost compared to DDR2 laptop modules. I had no selection but to acquire older and a lot more pricey DDR modules mainly because my laptop does not accept DDR2. Otherwise the product works excellent and now games and programs run alot smoother. Wintec is a really trustworthy ram corporation and must last lengthy compared to the stock ram.

Low cost, plug and play with my old HP nx5000. I just popped the keyboard out, plugged the memory in and put the keyboard back on. Fired up good, identified the memory immediately and everything was happy. I can tell it is a bit faster loading applications, This isn't truly the ram's fault, but 1.5gig is nonetheless not sufficient on this 1.6GHZ laptop to run something as robust as say, CIV four. Expectations ought to be reasonable. I checked the info on this laptop and found that 333 ram is what you are supposed to put in this machine, yet it operates slower than that due to machine style. I have no concept if slower, less costly memory would do just as nicely. I went with recommendation. I put this module into the secondary slot, above the factory 512 module, but did not attempt to put it in the primary slot.

Turns your old laptop into a completely functional time machine. No, not truly. Bought this to upgrade an old HP DV1000US laptop. It was a notable improvement.

It works fine for a Mac. None. I bought this along with a common 1GB DDR DIMM to max out the memory on an old 17" iMac G4 1.25Ghz with no concerns whatsoever. I've never installed RAM in a Mac before, so I wasn't 100% confident it would function until I took a peek at the old modules and realized they're identical to PC memory (Samsung/Hynix). It's also odd that this certain computer utilizes one SO-DIMM and one typical 184-pin DIMM, but anyway, this RAM works excellent!

Straightforward to order, Arrived incredibly quickly and installation was straight forward. Got a guide off of the laptop manufacturer's website. Pulled out old, slid in new, and it worked 1st time without a hitch... Greatest upgrade bang for the buck, from 512MB to 2GB and bang, your off... Made a big difference, even my wife noticed it the initially time that she applied it immediately after the upgrade... and she could care much less how considerably of anything is in it... None yet, and don't really expect any, or I would not have purchased this brand... Low cost, Inexpensive power. It makes more difference than I expected. New life for an old laptop.I was concerned about not buying a key brand, but I would get this 1 once again... It just works wonderful!

I acquire Kingston 95% of the time. I tried this brand for some HP DV6000's I had for sale. They had no memory issues at all. I was able to max the memory and make two sales fast and easy. I have had no calls from the buyers [sold in July 09] so all I can say is the memory should be alright. vista & 7 have helped caused the price of memory to double. It's not a con on this product but I necessary to vent to someone. I just figured that performing it here would reach a few thousand people.... I also purchased PC3200 400MHz memory and have had no memory problems or calls from buyers. Like I stated earlier, Kingston is the memory I like to use but because I had so quite a few desktops & notebooks for sale I necessary to try and save a few dollars because of the overhead. I hope other builders took or take advantage of memory sales here at Newegg, I did and ended up with hundreds of dollars in savings.

It's a gigabyte of new memory, the bare minimum a PC need to have.(Memory) - Ubuntu and windows XP both suffered with only 256MB of shared memory.

It's RAM; you definitely can't go wrong with additional RAM. Works wonderful in my aging Dell Inspiron 8600. Wish my laptop could hold far more.
