Purchased a pair of these, and use them in a 1TB RAID .Continuous read/write speeds were very near SSD efficiency.Random access speeds horrible, but far better than a single drive.All speeds were superior than a single Velociraptor. None. Outstanding product. WD makes drives specifically for a RAID configuration, but............so?These function beautifully at the task, and I can't see any performance comparisons of the RE drives to say that they are superior by sufficient of a margin.
