Excellent, entirely replaced the self contained liquid cooling that i had that decided to rust and leak (similar to the corsair a single thats out there)Matches its cooling entirely, keeps my proc (AMD phenom II x4 955) in the 30-45 range, and down to 19 idle (celcius) Huge, had to remove the side fan on my Azza Solanoits fine, i had adequate fans as it was, but it is major And yes, i did cut myself installing it, well, reinstalling it, did not like the thermal compound it came with, the stuff felt like glue and was really thick, ended up working with my personal

Keeps my Phenom II X6 1090T at 27C beneath idle @ three.7 GHz inside a raven Rev two case. This is in silent mode about 1000rpms. Goes above 2000rpms but does get noticeably louder. Can be a bit loud at high speed but not as loud as other individuals 1 of the great heat sinks i identified that would work with my G.Skill flare ram. This is simply because the heat sink is rotated 90 deg. than most heat sinks and the air gets sucked from where the ram is to the I/O portion of the motherboard. A must get if you get the silverstone raven Rev two.

Cant beat the cost, this cooler is normally 70-80 bucks everywhere else (as of this assessment its at 54CAD here on Newegg CA) Both quiet and does great cooling efficiency when on method temp control. Quite uncomplicated installation on AMD socket AM2+/AM3. No clearance problems whatsoever with RAM or something. Just to see what kind of efficiency it has i put the fan to 100%, idle temp on a overclocked Phenom II 965 was 27C, load 42C. Incredible. At times tricky to get mounted/unmounted without scaring your self you're pressing too difficult, the AMD clip is fairly tight (altho maybe thats a pro haha) i'd been running the 9500 model of this cooler considering that i had a Dual core Athlon 7750. Upgraded to a Phenom II 965, was obtaining a small toasty at load. This cooler shaved 5-10C easy off my old temps and the Arctic Silver five isnt cured however. Highly reccomend to those looking to upgrade from an older Zalman cooler, it def was an improvement.

This cooler is quite tall but not too tall to fit in my coolermaster HAF x case. The fan speed runs about 950rpm and is quite quiet. Nice green light emitting from the center of it. Keeps the i5 750 cpu temp right about 95-105 degrees F. none nope

Runs quieter than zalman 9700Runs cooler than zalman 9700Much easier installation on AM3 socket than zalman 9700Zalman 9700 is an outstanding cpu cooler, but this product is even much better.Nickel plating will assist with long term use. I also have threeӰ years old zalman 7700CU that became tarnished over time. Rougher tarnished surfaces became a magnet for dust which needs more frequent maintenance. Nickel plating need to stay away from that in the future. can generally be cheaper. Possibly, the greater cost has some thing to do with all the additional socket mounting adapters included and required for intel mobo. When comparing to zalman 9700, newer 9900NT with bigger fan does much better job at keeping the teperature down at load. Even at max load on prime95, it does not reach maximum fan speed because the temperature is contained four to 5 C lower at 45ㅧC, compared to 9700 model reaching around 49ㅫC at max fan speed when operating Phenom II X2 555 with unlocked 4 cores at 3.8Ghz. The 9900 fan speed at max load is about 1600rpm in this present set up operating prime95. In typical use, fan speed stays below 1200rpm utilizing PWM set up from mobo and I do not need to use the quiet mode adaptor. In addition, 9900 fan runing at max speed, 2000 rpm, is noticeably quieter than 9700 at max fan speed. I was obtaining a replacement for 9700 due to the fact base of the fan would vibrate/rattle against the fins although fan speed is changing, and I am glad that I got the chance to attempt 9900NT.

-Appealing black appear.-Far, far, far greater than stock AMD Phenom II HS.-Fits terrific in a Antec 900 case, and I can preserve my 120mm side fan due to the circular shape. -Due to the way my MB heatpipe is laid out my chipset temp dropped 7c. -Somewhat loud at full speed, buts is much more from the rush of air than from the fan itself. (but at least its not a buzzing whine like from the stock cooler, and though gaming you genuinely can't hear it.-Not necessarily a con but the AMD clip (to me) could be a tad tighter. For an air cooler at this size, weight and shape that performs as excellent as this, these definitely ain't "Cons" -The fan makes a low rumble/vibrating sound when switching speeds swiftly, but it only lasts 2sec, sounds type of cool in fact. Rev that engine. xD@stock clocks and voltages.Stock AMD Phenom II 31c at idle @ 1800rpm. 48c at load at 4000rpms.Zalman 23c at idle @ 900rpm. Barely breaks 38c running prime95 @ 2000rpm.I say just drop a rice grain of thermal compound on the cpu and let the HS spread it when you put it on, not spread it 1st like the directions say, but w/e.It's a green LED, not too bright IMO. But nonetheless looks wonderful. Though I do wish they had other LED colors, I adore the appear, shape, and black color of the HS, but blue lights are my fav. :D

I've got a CNPS9900A, apparently theyre the similar but mine has copper colored fins and a blue LED instead of green. Either way, it keeps my rig cool. I never ever measured temps with the stock heat sink to compare. But in an IN WIN Maelstrom with a Gigabyte P55-UD3L w. Intel Core i7-860 my CPU idles in the high teens-low 20C. The very best component about this heat sink? It's low profile, so I didnt have to get rid of the huge 220MM side panel fan that came with my case. Add the huge case with a low profile heatsink and I nonetheless get good clearance from the fan. It's terrific. I utilised Arctic S thermal paste instead of the included paste. Also, if you look up the Maelstrom, you'll notice it comes with a front intake fan. I put that up top as a 2nd top exhaust fan, and added an Antec TwoCool Blue LED as the front intake fan. That gave me 3 exhaust fans, and two intake fans (the case comes with a Huge 220MM side fan), plus the heatsink. Worth it? I'd say so.

-Looks cool-Keeps my Phenom II X4 965 really cool-Fits in a CM 690 two Advanced(but will not allow for a 120x25 case fan above it-spherical design works properly-Neat looking green LED(bright too)-mirror finish on CPU contact surface-devastatingly straightforward AM3 installation-fits lots of socket sorts-120mm fan -(As stated)Prevents usage of second 2mm deep case fan in CM 690 two Advanced.-heavy-bigger than it looks in the pictures -Along with the 7 other case fans in my CM 690 2 Advanced, and just a bit of Arctic Silver five my CPU temps Best OUT ᤫc following 2hrs and 8mins of Prime 95 utilizing Big FFT for max heat.-The supplied thermal paste went head to head with 79 other kinds of TIM and practically beat Arctic Silver 5 so don't hesitate to use it! If you want the numbers just Google: ඘ way TIM comparison"

Excellent cooler...had excellent expertise with my Zalman 9700NT.Built a new PC and genuinely keeps the temps low on my QX9650 Extreme OC to 3.8. None...Just have to be cautious when installing. Note... Does fit in an Antec 900, but does not fit on a Thermaltake Element G. Thermaltake ought to have built the top exhaust fan on the outside like Antec.

Huge region for cooling. Nickel plating matches other heatsinks in new method. Incredibly simple install (took ӱ minutes) for 1156 socket. The bottom is insanely shiny. Directions could be a tiny bit additional detailed I guess. Green LED but I knew that when I bought it. Make positive you put on the mounting bracket Prior to you install your motherboard. There are guide marks on the fastener which will make certain that everything is flush and that you have the best contact with the CPU.

Cons: None really, they could add an ON/OFF switch (but I like the look of the green LED, as mentioned above.

Pros: Asthetics and the LED glow (very light and not overwhelming, looks like its part of the object)

Pros:- Nice cooling- Nice design- Green LED
Comment:
This cooler looks very nice in my Antec Twelve Hundred case. I have it blowing the hot air to the top of the 200mm fan for maximum cooling. I upgraded my processor and this has made a nice decrease in temperature to my Quadcore from my previous Dualcore! As well as a nice decrease in motherboard temperature. This heatsink is not loud at all, and is actually more quiet than my previous Zalman CNPS9500.
