OK, Hve had this for a number of months, although only got it built-out a month ago.Very good all-in-one sort of mini-itx. Operating a C2 two.5Ghz on it, not overclocked. Running Windows Server 2008 R2, and its about as rapidly as my E6750 2.6Ghz technique on an Abit IP-35e. GPU does run hot, mine came with a single of the plastic pushpins on the gpu sink stripped. Replaced with a nylon washer from HD, and its solid, even though nonetheless rather warm. I've had a couple of matters with it locking out at either screen saver start out, or one thing. I can hear it sound the 'ta da' wav when I try to Ctrl-Alt-Del back in, even so blank screen saver window stays up. Not positive if this is an OS situation, or the gpu maybe obtaining too warm. Look at getting a decent active cooling gpu fan, or a cpu fan that will blow a little air to the side onto the gpu sink. This was one particular of the Rev. boards, so hopefully a lot of of the minor problems are resolved. I believe wake on USB has been solved in the most recent BIOS, even although it does not say so in the adjust notes.I bought this for use as an HTPC/browsing box for the living room. Hoping it will play some light games like L4D. Of program, the x16 PCI slot will take affordable 4850 if will need be.

All the wonderful points i like about Zotac and the mini itx format. My stock intel cpu cooler was contacting the northbridge heatsink and lifting it just sufficient to cause the NB to overheat, shutting down the personal computer after only 30 sec to 2 minutes. This was driving me nuts because I couldn't figure out what was incorrect till i read a thread describing the issue. Removed the CPU cooler, trimmed the plastic with a knife so that it no longer contacted the NB heatsink, and now everything is fine. So, check the clearance of the CPU cooler when putting in. This will save you alot of aggravation.

This board has worked incredibly effectively for our media center. The greatest plus for us was the potential to output audio more than HDMI which our prior motherboard did not do. It is a rapid board and has provided us certainly no difficulties. The PCI Express slot is also a good bonus. None so far.

Small, Rapid, Well Equipped. Wish it had a fire-wire port. Operating it with a E3200 and it is operating wonderful! My situation was not in so I utilised an old AOpen SSF situation. The situation has a 20-pin energy supply. It worked without any difficulty! So, if your in a bind and you do not have a 24-pin connector, it is likely you can get by with a 20-pin. Luckily, the motherboard mounts lined up perfectly. I'm incredibly impressed with the overall performance. Boot up time is quite brief with Vista. It rated decently with Vista. The desktop graphics is what rated the lowest. If you want a greater score out of the box, you may possibly want to get the GF9300-I-E which is the identical as this, but with overclocked graphics.

This is a fantastic small board and I would surely recommend it. The price tag isn't bad and you can get a lot of power out of some thing so modest. There are also a lot of ports. Be really careful of how you cool it. Operating two monitors causes the Geforce 9300 integrated graphics to overheat. I stuck a little fan on prime of the heatsink and that has helped some, but it nevertheless hits the shutdown temperature if I am not cautious. I also down clocked it to the lowest I could but again it is still fairly hot and will hit the shutdown temperature below heavy flash games. Just to give you an notion, my CPU below loads stays beneath 50C, but my graphics rarely idles below 80C even with fans. I am going to put a Radeon 5670 in it and that must take care of the difficulties. Once again, this is a genuinely wonderful motherboard, but if you are planning on running multiple monitors or even light gaming on this, obtain a discrete graphics card.

Nice specs 3 bad samples in a row now. Intermittent USB problems started on day five with the board I got when I RMAed board Š. I've even had the pc freeze on me several occasions. USB mouse, keyboard and WiFi all exhibit intermittent loss of functionality, USB device detection also fails when plugging in a thumbdrive. Give me my cash back - three poor motherboards in a row from Zotac unacceptable.

Impressive performance for a little package. No longevity whatsoever. Zotac will not honor there warranty. I purchased this board for a media center Pc. No OC, no modifications. Standard BIOS settings. Intel Core2 Duo E8400. 4GB GSkill RAM. The board lasted about nine months and then would no longer post. Sent it back to Zotac, they say absolutely nothing is wrong with the board. Even so, it does not matter what RAM or processor I use the board will no longer POST. After two months of performing the runaround with Zotac I'm fed up. Zotac does not stand behind their merchandise. Just appear at the Zotac forums just before you buy. They're total of unhappy individuals who can\'t get their warranty honored by Zotac.Never once more Zotac! Manufacturer Response:Hi Rick,Sorry to hear you are possessing trouble with our motherboard. This is a excellent small board. It has all the ports you could each and every want. The HDMI plays HD video without a stutter and the placement of the on board connections make for a fairly simple make. None as of yet. When deciding on a CPU cooler, get 1 that screws on versus utilizing push pins. The by the board being so tiny, push pins put a tiny to much strain on the board for my liking.

Normally, I don't like pointing out cons of goods that I get because I commonly know the cons beforehand and it my selection to buy that item. But Zotac has failed to shine for me. I was reluctant to acquire Zotac based on them not getting any reputation in BYOS market, but I couldn't it resist to finish my living room project quickly. I purchased this board in May well of 2010, the 1st board had a poor sata port. Soon after going by means of online tech support (there is no telephone help provided on their website) and registering the board with them, I filed for RMA - it was authorized, I paid the extra shipping fee of about บ. Once Zotac gets the board, it takes them a great 30 day period to finish the RMA course of action and send a new board. I got a new second board and I was excited to finish my project.Lo and behold! the second board had no video. I checked all connections many occasions. I even tried changing the PSU to more heavy duty one. No video on the screen. Only the LEDs would go on. See bel Continued from Pros:So I contacted Zotac but again to get a different replacement. Following going by means of their on the net tech assistance (and various techs repeated the very same troubleshooting directions to no avail), I got an additional RMA for which I paid a different บ or so to ship. And Zotac once more took about two months to approach everything and today I got my replacement. This time, it wasn't a new board like last time. I am even speculating that they sent me back the very same board soon after performing incomplete repairs. The difficulty? The DVI + HDMI ports are nevertheless not outputting any video. On the very first board that I had, this was not the case. I am hoping that I am failing to check all setting and its my own fault. But so far I haven't discovered something that would enable the Digital video ports. See Below. Continued from Cons:As someone who has gone through the torment of working with a ZOTAC product and dealing with their astronomical failure rates, I WILL STRONGLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO Purchase ANY OF THEIR Products. I HAVE LEANRED MY LESSON THE Difficult WAY I Ought to HAVE FOLLOWED MY INSTINCTS Before MY Initial Purchase. Today IS 29 OF NOVEMBER Ɩ MONTHS Since THE Obtain) AND I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF A PENDING PROJECT. LIKE SOME OTHER Users, I HAVE However TO SET UP MY HTPC FOR WHICH I PAID A PREMIUM Cost. NOT TO MENTION IF I HAD WAITED THIS Extended ON MY Personal, I WOULD HAVE BEEN In a position TO Construct A Significantly More HEAVY DUTY MACHINE FOR THE Exact same Price tag. I Really feel THAT ZOTAC SHOWED ME THE MIDDLE FINGER Immediately after I Bought THEIR Item. I AM A TECHNICIAN AND HAVE BUILT A number of PCS IN Final TWO YEARS. NOT Once I HAVE DEALT WITH SUCH INCOMPETENT Corporation.

In my opinion i could have paid anyplace beneath 赨 and would nevertheless have viewed as this a excellent purchase. I employed to have 2x2gb Ballistix in there, but for some reason one particular of the sticks that was closest to the 24pin slot stopped working. I don't truly know why, It just did. Believe i'll RMA it if the egg will let me. Good board. I would advise this to any individual who's attempting to create a modest, quiet and powerful gaming Computer. This issue is a Mini-ITX muscle auto! Onboard GPU supports "Aero" in Vista/Win 7. Impressive room to overclock LGA775 CPUs. Great BIOS functions like wake on alarm, antivirus warning, voltage adjustments for CPU and Memory, Memory timing adjustments, and GPU speed adjustments.Onbord (via internal USB header) wireless network is a extremely nice touch. Why don't all contemporary motherboards have this? CPU and Memory voltage adjustments are a bit limited in range, but it is impressive that a board this smaller has them at all, so not seriously a con. Clear CMOS jumper is challenging to get to (almost impossible with a add-on card in the PCI-E slot), so be prepared for some missing hair if you begin playing around with overclocking. This board is power hungry if you put a high finish CPU in it. It will want 100+ watts of power for the board alone so preserve that in mind if you plan on using one particular of those instances with an included low wattage PSU.CPU fan control is problematic. Waking from sleep sets the fan to lowest rpm. I have to restart to get fan back to larger RPM. Might get fixed with BIOS upgrade.CPU socket is extremely close to the onboard heatsink and memory slots. Stock intel HSF has to be mounted a specific way to clear. Their is a very good illustration in the manual, so be sure to read via it. There are only a few aftermarket HSFs that will work. GELID tends to make a low profile a single. I very advocate a PicoPSU with this board. I went with the 150w unit. I installed this MB in a Gigabyte Mini ITX chassis (the one with the bracket to mount a monitor correct onto the case) and the included 65w power provide was incredibly strained to run the program. I had to downclock the E8500 CPU to 1.9GHz and set all BIOS voltages to their lowest setting to get the system to boot. It couldn't boot otherwise. Suprisingly even though, the method was stable with those settings, so if you install a lower range CPU you 'might' be okay with a low wattage power provide so long as you don't try to use an add on graphics card as nicely. Maintain in mind a non-SSD difficult drive and a DVD drive combined are going to want about 20-25 watts just to fire up, and they each need it at the similar time at power-on, so wattage at boot certainly demands to be considered. Situations with 200-300w PSUs included will have a lot of power to perform with. Just be cautious with the tiny ones. A PicoPSU may possibly bail you out.

Good board, enhanced features from the first revisions (on rev four), runs quiet. Best outputs for anything, well, practically. Will wake from usb if in S3 sleep, but will not power from complete off. Speed on fan for CPU only. I couldn't get it to boot from a USB stick, but neither could my other 2 computers, so possibly it is me. I purchased this over waiting for Zotac's H55 board + the new CPU with onboard graphics simply because AFAIK Intel's stuff isn't hardware accelerated in Linux, and I wasn't going to put in another graphics card in a modest box. Method takes about 60-70watts with a normal 3.five inch HDD and two.4 ghz dual core celeron
