Does what it is supposed to do. Works as MythTV frontend, based on Gentoo. Decoding HD video with CPU load less than 30%. BIOS upgrade was a necessity, took some fiddling to create a appropriate FreeDOS image to boot from a USB stick.BIOS has lots of undocumented choices. Ideal I was able to locate on the world wide web was "these are proprietary options and can not be explained". Eh? Took the thing apart and removed wireless card as useless. Why a desktop computer or media center need to have wireless is beyond me. I'm not running about with a Television set and every thing that is connected to it.

Very best XBMC machine for the dollars. Im running XBMC off an 8GB SD and have win 7 installed as the primary OS for browsing.Full 1080P seamless output when configure to use VDPAU acceleration. I haven't tried the wireless but i hear it sucks.... It's not entirely silent and heat up even under low load but all in all i haven't had any concerns i didn't expect. Came with a combo wireless keyboard/mouse.

It is a Dual Core @ 1.6GHz with HT so four CPU show up in Task Manager. Dxdiag on the video card shows 883 MB (shared Memory) and HDMI running @ 1920 x 1080. Efficiency is very surprising for mini GIANT. Installed a e-sata difficult drive worked incredibly properlyLike that the e-sata is in the back and not the front like the acer 330 ion.It has S/PDIF Optical output - 8 Channel - For the Logitech Z-5500 505 Watts five.1 Speakers There are no CONS Over all this is a wonderful Windows 7 Media Center Extender. This little powerfull computer has just replaced the typical computer for friends and household. Way to go Zotac!!! If you use the Analog you get two ChannelsIf you use the Optical you get 8 ChannelsThe "OPTICAL" can be plugged stright into the Logitech Z-5500 505 Watts 5.1 Speakers - Retail - Yep you don't need a high-priced stereo receiver.I also was in a position to play H.A.W.X.

Super smaller footprintEnough juice for 1080P's stock Nothing I've identified in my setup The very first thing I did was get rid of the wireless card, install it in my laptop, simply because even with all the bad evaluation on the wireless this comes with, its leaps and bounds better then my Laptops! I have Gig Ethernet for a reason, don't want no wireless for this bad boy.Subsequent I took out the difficult drive and popped it into an external eSATA box for other use. Then I installed XBMC onto a thumb drive that I have plugged into the nice lil best slot. Don't forget to set it for VDPAU though.I have had zero difficulties running this way, it plays everything I've thrown at it so far. Diffidently obtaining an additional, the subsequent one will develop into my new Asterisk PBX.

Slick design, smaller form factor, low energy consumption, wonderful for office / house office Runs reasonably hot, fan noise (like a laptop), waiting on my mail in rebate given that October... I replaced the disk with an SSD and installed Ubuntu. My wife uses it in her property office, and is very happy (some credit of waf goes to the design). I do have a single core as myth frontend in the living room, which does not will need a fan (no noise), and does an incredible job in HD. I opted for the dual corre since the wife generally has a lot of apps running at the very same time.

Pros: Low energy usageGood performingSmall
Comment:
I bought this to use as a HTPC (Home Theatre PC) which I have made a lot of use of over the past 5 months. Anyone looking to purchase this PC, keep in mind that it doesn't have an OS (operation system) installed so you'll have to do that yourself. Plus no optical drives (CD/DVD drive) which makes it a bit of a hassle getting an OS onto it if you don't have a USB optical drive at the ready. My one complaint would be the built-in wireless. It's pathetic. I read the comments about it before buying it and they were true. The solution, buy a wireless adapter. The "Belkin F5D8053 N Wireless 802.11N USB Adapter" on sale worked great for me.

Zotac MAG HD-ND01-U Atom 330 2GB 160GB GBLAN WiFi 4-IN-1 Card Reader VGA HDMI All-in-One Mini PC
Cons: - More expensive than Acer Revo's for no apparent reason- No keyboard/mouse included

Pros: + Quiet+ Powerfuly+ Relatively inexpensive
Comment:
This is a really good family room/media PC. Whether you are doing full blown Win 7 w/ Media Center or a Win/Linux w/ XBMC, it will do the job. It's a very versatile machine and has all the bells and whistles you can ask for in such a small package: eSATA, wifi-n, HDMI, etc. I own an Acer Revo and I don't know why this is nearly 50% more expensive. Moreover, the Revo came with a wireless keyboard and mouse. It's a great machine overall, but not too great bang for the buck. If you can get a cheap Revo, go with that instead!

Zotac MAG HD-ND01-U Atom 330 2GB 160GB GBLAN WiFi 4-IN-1 Card Reader VGA HDMI All-in-One Mini PC
Cons: - fan is loud- wireless is slow

Pros: - small and thin design- able to be mounted onto an LCD monitor via VESA- for the price, cannot build something as small and as good
Comment:
I purchased this to replace my thin-client at work, so obviously this excelled at meeting my expectations and then some.(I hadn't known this was the dual-core model until I unboxed it. The previous one I had purchased only had a single Atom core and 1GB ram.)I see some others, like myself, have had problems with the wireless. I believe the problem is due to the wireless card running as a USB device... Windows 7 deteted an unknown USB device and then installed the drivers for the wireless adapter... (I believe it was Ralink... not sure). Besides being unable to get very fast speeds, I don't have too much of a problem

Cons: If use this as normal computer you can hear the little noise but as a HTPC it never disturb.

Pros: It's small, good shape, support HDMI and 6 USBs which is perfect.

It's a fantastic HTPC and I love it. I installed win7 on it and it runs very fast. I also read some other people's reviews talking about bad wireless network but I did not feel. I am using it watching movie online and there is no problem at all.

Zotac MAG HD-ND01-U Atom 330 2GB 160GB GBLAN WiFi 4-IN-1 Card Reader VGA HDMI All-in-One Mini PC
Cons: Horrible wireless performance, a bit loud fan noise

Pros: HD playback
Comment:
Not decent but acceptable build quality. Generally happy with this, except for its horrible horrible wireless performance. Reading other reviews, other people were complaining about this too. I am actually really pissed off how bad the wireless performance is. Using a 15MBPS cable modem with Linksys 610n, this shitty wireless card only give me around 30kB/s download speed in NZB. Compared to around 1500kB/s I got from my desktop over the same network, I can't understand how can they release a product like this. This is more likely a design issue. In short, if you plan to run it wirelessly, stay away from this. Otherwise it's worth its price.

Zotac MAG HD-ND01-U Atom 330 2GB 160GB GBLAN WiFi 4-IN-1 Card Reader VGA HDMI All-in-One Mini PC
Cons: came with wrong power cord!

Pros: Small size, decent amount of power, quiet operation.
Comment:
Got one of these the other week only to find the power cord that connects the power brick to the wall was the wrong type so I could not use it. NCIX was able to eventually replace the cord but it took some complaining on my part. Once I got the new cable I was able to fire it up and install Linux (10.x) and so far it has been pretty good. Downloaded the "restricted" nvidia drivers and everything is working well. GPU reports 56c idle temp but the box is hot to the touch. The atom seems to have lots of horse power and multitasking was breeze (when hyperthreading enabled and 512mb ram dedicated to the ION GPU). Only thing I wish is it came with a keyboard/mouse like the Acer Revo.

Zotac MAG HD-ND01-U Atom 330 2GB 160GB GBLAN WiFi 4-IN-1 Card Reader VGA HDMI All-in-One Mini PC
Cons: None so far

Pros: Price, size, performance
Comment:
I bought this mainly for an HTPC setup, and so far it hasn't disappointed. 1080p video plays perfectly over a gigabit network. I haven't tested the wireless, so can't comment on other people's issues with it. I'm outputting to a 24" LG monitor (which acts as my tv), and optical audio out to my receiver. Running Windows 7 (may try putting linux on it in the future), and XBMC. A note about XBMC; to get full hardware acceleration for video, the current stable version won't work, you'll need to grab the latest nightly build, and then you can enable it in settings. I've also got uTorrent running on this 24/7, a web/streaming server for my music library, and plugged in a USB HD tuner for OTA stations. Overall, produces a lot less heat and consumes a lot less power than my previous setup, and performance has remained the same. Obviously there won't be any games played on this, but that's not what it was purchased for. I highly recommend this system, it's been great. Long live The Zotac.

Zotac MAG HD-ND01-U Atom 330 2GB 160GB GBLAN WiFi 4-IN-1 Card Reader VGA HDMI All-in-One Mini PC
Cons: The wireless card is really poor. Would only connect at 11Mbps

Pros: Very small, powerful, quiet, can pretty much do anything I throw at it. Never tested it with Windows or any gaming
Comment:
Purchased this for the sole purpose of hooking it up in my living room and plugging it into my Samsung 40" LCD tv for XBMC output. It has been running great so far, able to do 720p and 1080p output with ease, system remains quiet and cool. The only real issue with this system is the wireless card, it is very weak. In my setup, the system would be streaming all videos from my wireless router with an external hard drive plugged in, but with the onboard wireless, it would only connect at 11Mbps, which was no good. I went out and purchased a cheap Zonet Wireless N usb adapter, and that has worked flawlessly. Now streaming at 300Mbps with ease.System is very quiet, you barely notice it running. Not a whole lot of heat comes out of it. System boots from cold to XBMC in probably about 20-25 seconds which is great.All-in-all I am extremely happy with this purchase. I have been showing it off to as many people as I can. So, if you're looking for a small, compact nettop computer that is quite capable of high-quality output, don't look any further.

Zotac is a winner!
Comment:
Having been selling and building computers since 1983, I was pleasently surprised by the Zotac MAC allinone computer. I have also built mini-itx computers and the quality surpasses anything I have seen before. Installing the operating system was very easy (Windows 7 Professional) and then the drivers was almost Automatic. The quality of video is very good and it is extremely quiet. I develop software for the healthcare industry and this little computer is fast. My 2 laptops can't keep up with moving about in the operating system. I am very pleased with the purchase

Great as a mythtv frontend
Comment:
I recently installed a new backend server using mythtv 0.22. I needed a light, silent and HD capable pc as a frontend in the leaving room. This little pc is perfect. It handles HD perfectly. I run Mythbuntu 9.10 and mythtv 0.22. Note : I bought it for $320 which is the right prize for me. I don't think I would buy it at $400.

Exceeded Expectations
Comment:
I have been eying mini-ITX based computers for a few years now. The combination of price, CPU-GPU processors, and ports offered in the MAG All-In-One convinced me to give one of these a try. Loading linux was straight forward as the MAG is set-up by default to boot from a USB connected external disc drive. The bios is loaded with configurable options. The display quality is excellent when attached to a VX2433wm monitor with the linux compatible driver available from nvidia. Playback of internet television programs is a little choppy when compared to a dual core athlon X2 chip with third party video card, but the heat and noise generation of the MAG is substantially less. This is a nice affordable way to migrate to a low power open source system.

1080p24 is True HD
Comment:
The Pros: A must have for XBMC! Atom 330 nVidia ION is a match made in Heaven. HDMI out at FULL HD 1080p24. Plenty of ports. The Cons: Gets a little hot. Built in N Wifi is USELESS. 5400 rpm drive is a little slow. Note: The HD output over HDMI is in fact true HD. 1080p24 is the native format all HD movies are shot in, 1080p60 is the original 1080p24 passing through a 3:2 pulldown filter. To display 1080p24, you would however need a 120HZ T.V.

This is the perfect Ion computer to run a media center. Im using XBMC on Ubuntu 9.10 and it's amazing what this little machine can accomplish. 1080p video over network no problem. It takes 20sec to boot, it's fast in XBMC, and it's cheap. If you want a computer to run XBMC on Linux, this one is perfect.

I usually dont write reviews, but here we go. PROS: Small, compact, little to NO noise, looks good, lots of ports or options, driver installs were fast and easy. GIGABIT ethernet is good super fast. Win 7 Ultimate installed without ANY problems. Streamed Xvid, Di vx, x.264, mkv, ALL GOOD on Gigabit port only. HDMI is HDCP compliant. CONS NOT true 1080p. it is only 1080p24 it is not 60hz only 24hz. Will not go FULL HD. Biggest con is the WiFi, range is very poor. Unit works good with 6' or less from your router. I placed the unit 22 feet away and video playback was impossible. Network traffic topped out at 35KBps! The closer to the router the better, then I might as well just plug in the ethernet.! I shipped it back to the manufacture, i think i will just buy a ps3.
