I had no troubles with the screws, just need to have the appropriate tools for the job.This was virtually plug n play, took about two minutes to install the drive and hook up to Pc to get recognized.I don't see where it would be a problem of moving around and such as there is a stopper on the other finish that will retain it from moving. Couldn't have gotten right here faster :D Cheap, rapidly delivery, and as usually NewEgg raised the bar. I will be buying about six far more.

looks very good, fits good, functions fantastic. I would recomend it. If i uncover a different hard drive laying about i'm going to buy another a single. it came with the wrong cable, BUT Acomdata took care of me with no troubles. when i realized i had the incorrect cable, I emailed Acomdata client service. The subsequent day i got a response saying they will ship me 2 of the correct cable to try to make up for the mix up, they came in two days later. Good customer service.

Cheap, quite simple to install, good seeking, sturdy but very light and portable. Cable has two USB ports Ƒ extra for energy demands). This could be a difficulty if you use an old laptop with extremely few ports. Though 1-port operates it's not recommended. I recovered my old laptop's difficult drive and turned it into a external drive. I don't recognize persons complaining about the screws. It's a 1 time issue, they are essentially uncomplicated to install with a tiny "lenses" screwdriver. Why spend much more?

Low cost, performs, easy and sturdy style. Doesn't really feel affordable like many enclosures. Believed it was DOA but it turns out you have to jiggle the cable often. For the value I'm very glad I went with this enclosure. It would be good if it had a case but that's fine.It comes with a two headed usb cable but I didn't uncover it essential for any of my computers.The led is just blue and blinks slightly with activity.

This case is extremely well constructed. It has a very nice really feel and looks a lot more expensive than it is. There is practically no manner of insulation on the sides of the case. The ends have material to cushion the drive, but not the sides. I have a lot of difficult drives lying about from individuals that have gotten me to upgrade their laptops. This case made some of those drives helpful. I scrub the drives at least 10 instances to obliterate any data on them and then install in the case for a affordable external drive for my MacBooks.

Incredibly sleek design, extremely strong in structure and really feel. Performs wonderful (auto recognized) with XP and Vista (havent tested with Linux or OSX but, but I don't forsee any challenge if you know every single respective operating technique...). Accomdata has the best high quality enclosures for the funds! This two.5in sata enclosure is not flimsy, but quite solid and effectively put with each other! None of that made in China/Korea/Hong Kong cr@p. Comes with Y connector USB variety, nice smooth metal enclosure and ends are made of solid plastic. The screws that hold the plastic caps in spot!! Be incredibly careful you don't want to strip them!! I had to use a jeweler's tool kit to eliminate those tiny phillips screws! They hold the drive properly in place, just use extreme caution because no screwdriver integrated! Extremely effectively made, other than the tiny screws, it's a definate buy! Comes with a three year warranty as effectively! Performs fine with my 120gb seagate momentus HD. Newegg rocks for shipping this to my door in 1 day flat!

- Effortless install- No need to have to use the extra connector for the power supply- Excellent packaging - No rubber feet, not truly a con. Economical, compact, and works as described. No power connection needed. Solid case.I would suggest this product to any individual. Challenging drive inside would be too shaky. The only help is the SATA connector inside. No assistance inside. Also, the screws are smaller than usual. I utilised a double sided tape to assistance the HDD inside. I stuck the double sided tape on the HDD with no peeling the other side. Then, forced the HDD half way then pushed it with the connector.

Welll manufactured, ends have a snug clean fit. Bright blue led. Assembled with finish screws considerably too tight. Even with my jeweler screwdriver, one particular front plate screw would not budge. Tried the back and each screws broke loose, but not devoid of some force. Not only did I need to go acquire a specific screw driver set (even though I already have numerous toolkits) but I can't even get them all the way back in. Why does this unit require two usb ports? I have external USB HDDs from other organizations that only require a single port.

It's a incredibly solidly constructed small enclosure. It looks excellent and holds the drive really securely. The chromed plastic endcaps don't appear cheesy at all. The LED is a little vibrant for my taste. One screw didn't go in completely straight, like the hole was tapped slightly crooked. It holds with each other wonderfully, nevertheless, and is not noticeable when the screw is in.
