Pros: reliable, price

you get what you pay for. not bad i guess? since its cheap, it is cheap. not recommended for newer computers, i3's i5's and i7's are out with quad core!

Cons: Heatsink fan RMP is too fast, on the boarder of loud, software will fix this.

Pros: Cheap, Powerful enough
Comment:
This was a great price for a true dual core CPU, so far its good. the heat sink fan is loud(maybe im sensitive) but my mother board has fan control options, not to mention speed control hardware and software available. This is for a HTPC build and fit the budget, performs when it need too.

Cons: Only 2 cores. Newer chips have 4, but you get what you pay for.

Pros: Cheap. Works, fast enough for HTPC. Fan appears adaquate.
Comment:
Bought for a small home theatre pc. CPU Works good. Considerably faster than my older PC I'm replacing. Good for an inexpensive build. CPU fan seems quite adaquate and comes with paste already applied. Would purchase again

Cons: As with anything with a low price tag, it's not the fastest cpu out there, and can take a while under a moderate load.

Pros: Quick and cheap, able to handle a decent load before showing signs of stress.
Comment:
Coupled with a Zalman CNPS9500, it runs at under 40c, fan is super quiet. 4gb DDR2 mushkin ram compliments it just fine, both having been put in a Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3, with an Nvidia 250 GTS OC, again, mated with a zalman fan and heatsink. No problems whatsoever as far as noise, heat, or performance for everyday use, or even moderate to heavy gaming. It's a budget chip that brings honour to the AMD name :D

Cons: none yet, but will not be playing the latest games on it.

Pros: Value for your dollar. Performance is okay
Comment:
Great cheap CPU for someone interested in building a cheap system for things like web surfing and word processing. Obviously its no quad core performance, but at $50 what can you expect. Temperatures are okay with the stock heat sink.I would buy this again.

Cons: Of course it's obsolete - you are just trying to make an AM2 system get by for a little longer.

Pros: PriceIt does suffice as a mid range processor with XP or Linux. It runs the regular tasks of average users - perfectly well.
Comment:
I put this onto a Lenovo A690 MB of one of those give-away systems. It replaced a single core Sempron 3600.I've been using the system for a short time with Linux and was amazed to find that with a RAM upgrade, and this processor one can have a workable system. Even the onboard video and sound are working well enough. Of course it would still be low end with the Vista which came on the machine - but usable, finally. So I'm impressed with the CPU for upgrading cheaply and for the average user. One has to remember that cheap systems come with cheap power supplies and so upgrading to a discrete video card of any power would require a new supply. Best to stop at RAM and CPU upgrade.

I upgraded my roommate PC. It was an old amd single core. He was on a budget and wanted to upgrade to have a dual core so an AMD x2 immediately came to mind. He's really happy about the great change (he says his pc is running way better and faster). It's fast, stable and works vith Vista.

Great budget processor, fast and stable, and very good price on sale. Never had any issues with AMD processors I prefer them for their reliability. Certainly don't have the overclocking capability that Intel's do but still a great option for the right build.

Cons: None...

Pros: Performance, Price, Cool Running, Quiet at Stock Settings.Excellent balance of Performance and so importantly the Temperatures...
Comment:
I love this chip! It's price is very attractive for the performance it puts out plus it games very well at stock settings and it does it very reasonably quiet! It's not a pressure cooker either...meaning it's not a hot running chip which to me makes or breaks a chip...This one WINS with flying colors for a middle of the road chip! I'm picking up another one for my other rig and putting up my new 1 day old 6000+ to anyone that wants it...

Cons: Not a Core 2 destroyer :P

Pros: Great price:performance, low power requirements, quiet stock HSF.
Comment:
A solid dual core processor on the cheap. Great for mid range gaming systems or someone just getting into the dual core scene. Great performance but don't expect it to keep up the Core 2 Duo. They OC decently and good voltages. No problems to be had, really. Not much to say as it performs as well as I expected.

Pros: Inexpensivedual corefast for the price
Comment:
We installed this proc on a htpc and for that purpose it works great, no complaints. I don't think I'd plug it into a gaming machine but for multimedia it gets the job done. And for $70? a couple of years ago you couldn't find a processor for that price!

Comment:
AMD has done well for themselves until recently. The Phenom is still not where expected but the era of the Athlon XP and Athlon 64 X2 made the AMD name a trusted one. The 5200+ is a steal around $70 when on sale. Plenty of processing power for that price range. I did not overclock it unfortunatly as it was for a budget pc and wanted reliability. I had no issues with this processor so far and recommend it to anyone looking to build a budget AMD system or even a good starting point.

Cons: Not the absolute greatest available, but what do you expect at this point?

Pros: Good value for $.
Comment:
AMD has fallen behind Intel once again in the overall tech race. Intel's top chips are better than AMD's top chips. But here's the thing: AMD remains the Value/$ leader. At almost any given price point, you're better off with AMD rather than Intel. It's that simple.

Cons: It's not an Intel core2Duo

Pros: Cheap, dual core, reliable

While not as fast or overclockable as the Intel, it's still a nice chip for the money. The system I built with this chip has been very reliable and functions better then I had anticipated. For building a basic system this chip works great.

Bought this chip in conjunction with and Nvidia matx mobo and 4gbs of ram, to run Windows Vista Ultimate x64. Runs smooth as silk. Loads up fast. Faster then my P4 2.4ghz and my C2D Celeron E1200 both running XP sp3 This review was modfied by poster q 09-20-08 03:22 PM This review was modfied by poster @ 09-20-08 03:39 PM

Comment:
Picked up this CPU for a build for my parents computer. I was pleased with its performance, running Vista quite nice and smooth. I notice it running a bit hotter than my Intel processor, but an aftermarket heatsink I think would fix that. Overall a great CPU for the price you can't beat it.

Cons: Runs hot with original fan and thermal paste.

Pros: It works ! No surprises here.
Comment:
The CPU is running a lot hotter than my 4200+ (also Brisbane) CPU in my recording computer. I didn't bother removing the thermal paste and replacing it with Artic Silver 5. Maybe should have done that. But it works, and maybe the temperature will go down a bit after things settle. The fan of the CPU is quiet. Only things that makes noise is the old hard drive (a 20 gig Maxtor) !

Pros: Fast enough, quiet, blah blah.

Works great, no complaints, runs what I play fine, if you're trying to run Crysis, keep looking. Otherwise for an overall gaming system that won't be stressed too much, for business needs etc this would also perform wonderfully.
