Low-cost performance, known reliability. OC monster with the right board and some user ability. Bit light on L2, no L3 (not surprising, but would be nice). The manu heatsink/fan is enough for everyday use, but not enough for any sort of true clocking. Two of these running in identical HTPC builds. Each deliver strong functionality, run cool and deliver the goods. WEI scores for this below Win 7 x64 is six.five. Paired with Biostar A880G+ mATX boards, 4GB ADATA Gaming DDR3񳈰 RAM, Samsung F3 250GB 7200rpm SATA-II HDs and Win 7 Pro x64, these CPUs will perform far above their cost point and above what one would anticipate from the dry specs alone.

This small Athlon II is a excellent contender for a low-finish develop! For every day tasks, this point performs. None If you're undertaking much more than easy browsing and usage, get a tri-core or some thing better. This is great for the fundamentals.

Awesome, I'm quite impressed with the functionality. 1 gig of gddr5 and this: Starcraft II and WoW at ultra settings. I'd recommend this to any spending budget gamer. It doesn't double as a pez dispenser. Obtain it.

Excellent bang for the buck, performs great, stock fan and pre-applied thermal paste maintain it super cool at stock speeds. Effectively, the my Kingston DDR3 1333 RAM is only recognized as DDR3 1066, which surprised me a bit. My mobo is a Biostar AM3 TA880GB+ (which i also propose), this CPU is AM3, the information section right here on Newegg doesn't mention something about it, so i assumed the RAM would run at 1333. perhaps that's prevalent know-how or has an effortless solution, i'm not a seasoned veteran but by any signifies so i'm not sure, but i believed i'd mention it anyway. I'd give it 5 eggs for quality and worth, but i gave it four overall just to draw consideration to the RAM issue. Not that it's a major deal to me, it's not that massive of a difference, but it did have me clawing my head a bit. Excellent CPU although, i suggest it.

Hugely dependable. I've built much more than 6 machines making use of this processor. It's quick correct out of the box, and overclocks to three.5 GHz with out a hiccup. They're not less costly. Newest retail boxes of these come with a nicer cooler that is simpler to safe to your motherboard. Earlier ones have been harder, and seemed like you'd break one thing.

Combo deal with Asus 785G motherboard with cost-free shipping.Just about every system now runs a least twice as rapid from net web page loading to games. Employed older ddr2 memory but coming from an older motherboard the ddr2 was unlocked to it's full possible. I am delighted with my upgrade considering that it was inexpensive and enhanced system performance by a wonderful deal None.

Very great obtain for the value. The stock heatsink and fan operate really effectively. None so far. Just make certain you understand this isn't the fastest CPU out there. Good buy if you're developing a system that doesn't need to have as well much energy. I got it for my moms pc and it operates great for what she does.

Bargain, Decent OC's, Low energy usage. Multiplier not unlocked but at this value it's understandable. I upgraded to the Athlon 250 from a two.1 AMD dual core and there is a definite speed difference. I was in a position to get up to a 3.4ghz OC but 3.5ghz was unstable. Maybe with some tweaking a stable OC of three.5 or quicker would have been feasible. A very good deal for the income and if you aren't a significant gamer this cpu is additional than sufficient for most every day needs.

Super rapidly east set up. Installed ubuntu 10.ten in about 30 minutes even setting up all my configs ssh ftp static ip and server computer software. heat sink was so smaller i laughed and ran out to the store to get a new a single. I have not observed a heat sink that little considering that i initially began operating with personal computer eight years ago. upgraded my server from a pentium 4 to this, so blazing rapid.almost want to switch server hardware with laptop hardware.and im operating quad core!!!

Incredibly cool, with stock heatsink idle temps are 25C and 37C full load. Quickly, plays any game I have on max settings. With the price of AMD processors, may well as nicely get a faster a single for a couple much more dollars.

Fast and inexpensive dual core CPU. Great fit for a budget, net browsing media rig. Low power usage assists this chip run cool, sits about 32-35C in my setup. No L3? Though a L3 cache would probably be overkill for 95% of this pc's usage. Stock heatsink and fan function adequately. Exellent chip if you are developing a budget/entry level rig.

This is the greatest little more than clocker I've played with to date... nonetheless haven't cracked into the quad core industry however and haven't needed to with this tiny operate horse.the first 6 months I kept this chip oc'd to 3.45 ghzthen I took it to three.51 for about four months all devoid of a voltage bump.. 1.38 was the voltagefor the past month (and until I go quad) this chip has been sitting at 3.65 ghz with a .025 voltage bump. Oddly this resulted in 1.408 volts applied by my cpu which is barely a shave more than specEven with this new over clock setting the temperature with an following market air cooling heat sink has under no circumstances gone over 32c on lengthy complete load ...and often idles at around 22cWEI for CPU is up to six.8 The multiplier is locked...v0v other than that none whatsoever making use of a gigabyte GA-MA785G-UD3H mother board paired with 8 gigs of gskill ddr2 1066 CL5 (running @ ddr2 900 CL4)
