Cost Flakey memory sticks in an Intel board operating XP SP3 to replace 4 256mb sticks. The memory booted but in single channel mode about 50% of the time reporting they were not matched. About 25% it was in double channel mode. The other 25% it hung and would not boot. Really frustrating as the memory itself passed the on-board verify each time it did boot. I did try moving the sticks into the other channel and I do recognize the matching needs. Re-installed the old 256mb chips worked fine. Very sorry I bought these. Illnesss led me to miss deadline for return to Newegg so I am stuck back on the old memory and $$ down the drain. Manufacturer Response:You have a limited lifetime warranty with Essential DRAM. Very nice upgrade, my personal computer is actually quick now compared to having my old memory. I have only had them for a quick time but so far so good None If you set up added ram and your laptop wont boot, one thing that worked for me was going into BIOS then to Genie Bios setting adjust you DRAM voltage to four.00. It worked for me.

Put two GB in an old Compaq Presario with an Athlon XP 3000+ chip. Great functionality in Windows XP, and many apps load with no problems. none

I popped it out of the package and into my Balance Digital Technology computer and it worked on the 1st start out up. None. Constantly check the memory inside your computer. I went by the manual and it mentioned that the memory was PC2700. So that is what I ordered. When I replaced it the old memory was really PC3200. Slight speed distinction, but not substantially

Installation was a small tougher than I believed (I had to press them in tough, not gently), but it was all worth it. I only had 256 MB of RAM before this so this upgrade is like getting a new personal computer. My Pc can walk and chew gum at the exact same time now! I love it!

Went with Important simply because that's what came in my Micron Pc and has never failed in eight years...just necessary to upgrade from the 512 MB that came in it. Went with the two GB optimum upgrade. Computer hums proper along; doesn't get bogged down by McAfee any longer. Could have gone with more affordable RAM, but for a few dollars a lot more I'd rather remain with stuff that I know works. None
