Pros: Stable, fast, easy to overclock to 4.1ghz, afforadble

I got this in the mail yesterday. Got in installed overnight with a new motherboard (msi 970 gaming). Im pretty satisfied with this processor so far. It was easy to overclock it to 4.1ghz, Ill probably go higher once I get a better cpu cooler.

Bought this to upgrade my ESXI server.Paired with a M5A97 Rev 2 motherboard this makes for a very nice server.Handles everything I want it to run.Don't plan to overclock as this is for a server...but had to give it a try before putting it into service. Was able to overclock to 4.5GHZ with ease. I have no doubt you could push it much further but that wasn't my goal with this buildWhile not as fast as intel processors I wouldn't think twice about using this or a 8 core AMD in my next desktop build.

What a great processor ! The heatsink that comes with it is small, but still, the temperatures remain at around 40-45°C. What an improvement over previous generations of AMD processors, which required an enormous heatsink to achieve those temps.

Cons: Not the coolest chipNot the fastest

Pros: CheapPerformance for priceCheap motherboards availableGood for gaming
Comment:
Honestly, for most people looking to buy an entry level gaming rig with some future proofness, this is the cpu to buy. You can go intel and get the i3 anniversary, or even a non K-series i5 but then you are for one spending more money on the chip, but most likely more on the mobo. This chip runs extremely well with no hiccups so far. There is a nice cooler from Arctic cooling that is super quiet and compatible. I paired this with a cheap msi mobo with support for crossfire and sli plus usb3 and sata6, hyperx fury blacks, msi 270x 2g, xfx 650w psu, ssd and case for well under $700. Perfect for any game by todays standards and good for the short future with room for upgrades.

Cons: You don't have that satisfaction that intel gives you after spending on a over-priced product; thanks to marketing and branding.

Pros: Best bang for the buck in the market; I bought it last year and it still delivering great performance.
Comment:
If you're a gamer don't bother with anything else this has all the power you need. Invest that hard-earned money in a good GPU instead. I also needed to upgrade my wife computer who was running a athlon X2 and bought that.

Cons: A little loud (may want to change stock processor)Not able to handle best games out there at highest settings

Pros: It worksIts cheap $100Its price/performance cannot be beat
Comment:
Overall, it's been working fine so far and has only hit a maximum temperature of 54 degree celsius. I would highly recommend this cpu for a budget build and the hyper evo 212 if the noise is annoying, however I do not find it much of a problem.

Cons: The packaging was very poor the processor was sitting on top of the padding and was not protected at all and i hope it works

Pros: Igot it really quickly and its amazing
Comment:
Theres a lot of padding but theres no padding on top of the CPU so if it fell it would be broken from hitting the top of the box since the pins are Very Sensitive needs more improvement with packaging

Cons: Single threaded performance. This will bottleneck a higher end GPU in CPU intensive games.

Pros: Stable 4.5GHZ clock on air cooling. Good price.
Comment:
I originally had this chip paired with a GTX 660, the performance was up to par with what I expected out of the card. Ran most games on High - Ultra. After a lot of reading online, I bought a GTX 780, under the impression the CPU would not bottleneck it. This is absolutely not true, as the cpu stutters and hangs in graphic and !physics! intensive games such as FarCry 3, Crysis 3, and Metro Last Light. Overall it's a solid entry level cpu, lots of fun to overclock. It's more than capable of handling most games on high settings, but will not fare that well with a top tier video card. If you do planning on going GTX 770 (or ATI equivalent) or higher get the 8350 or the loveable i5 and save yourself some trouble.

Cons: Included cooler is pretty bad and fairly loud, would have been nice to see one of the stock heatsinks from the 8 cores (one of the ones with a copper base) however, with an aftermarket heatsink, it's cool and quiet.

Pros: Very fast for the price, games well, overclocks very well (I got 4.3ghz at 1.36v), comparable to a sandy bridge i5 once overclocked, runs cool and it is very stable
Comment:
Excellent budget CPU, it is very fast in games and overclocks excellently, and it has a very low voltage (just remember to get a good cooler). It also doesn't bottleneck my 660 ti. Highly recommend this CPU.

Unlocked CPUs are great on overclocking as usual. Performance are good enough for most gaming (I play Flight Sim X most of the time). Good value compare to Intel i3/i5 of the same price. Very satisfied.

Pros: PricePower
Comment:
I did a lot of research and found that, at this time, this CPU is unbeatable in terms of performance/price. When all 6 cores run, it's awesome. I don't game, but when I ran a 720p video, the overall usage wasn't even 10%.On stock cooler I'm around 31-36 degrees Celsius. When I ran stress tests, I went up to 61 degrees Celsius and that was it. I do have a good chassis that allows for a lot of air flow and I've got 6 fans going; no water cooling or anything though. Individual results may vary. But cooling aside, this is a GREAT CPU. If I was to build another computer, I'd buy it again! WELL DONE, AMD!

Cons: It's not as good as Intel for games for games that aren't multi-threaded well, but you're paying a lot less so...

Pros: Best bang for your buck CPU by far after a pricematch. Overclocks really well between 4.0Ghz and 4.5Ghz.
Comment:
Did a bit of homework figured this processor was going the be the best fit for my budget/needs. Runs great, doesn't seems too warm. Once again AMD offers an incredible chip for the price.
