Pros: 65W quad core is nice to have for an HTPC Comment:
Power efficient CPUs are always a plus for HTPC applications. This one came in an ITX bundle and works like a charm.I even run the CPU fanless using the aftermarket heatsink in the bundle (CM Vortex Plus) and temps sit at 50 deg C running SMP folding!Due to the space constraints inside the LianLi Q07 ITX case, the fan from the aftermarket heatsink wouldn't fit. Fortunately, due to the placement of the PSU in the case, the PSU fan is within a couple cm of the CPU heatsink and pulls enough airflow over the CPU heatsink to maintain reasonable load temperatures.At regular NCIX price (200+) this thing is highway robbery, but on sale, price matched or in a bundle, this CPU is a reasonable deal. Performance is about on par with intel CPUs from a number of years back though. |

I'm very pleased with the performance of my 905e CPU. Initially I thought I could only overclock it to 3.1ghz, however I discovered that by inputting the memory timings manually into the bios, I could get the CPU up to 3.75ghz by using the lowest memory divider.This processor is a steal when NCIX puts them on sale. Highly recommended for low-end systems! Overclocked, this CPU gives an i5 a run for its money. |

this little soldier is a great jack-of-all trade. I got mine at half price in a combo deal, so i there fore didn't see the need for a X2 555. once overclocked to 3.0 I got a hell of a lot of power. |

I got this CPU in a gaming bundle. This is great for overclocking, I managed to get this at 3ghz at around 40 degrees celsius while running prime. The only bad think is that it didn't come with a heatsink in my bundle so I had to get one locally (overpriced). I haven't had any issues so far (other than crashing while testing overclock).
