runs really cool ࿃c complete load) @ three.39GHz w/ aftermarket cooler. multitasking super speedy. gaming is a lot rapidly. oc'ing is simple and effective. this with decent vid card tends to make groovy BOINC/folding machine. its a small overkill for my htpc/surfing usage, but who cares. it was low-cost! under no circumstances did use the stock cooler, so i can't speak to that. love it appreciate appreciate it. i can watch youtube, rip a dvd, verify e-mail, etc all at once. had it for about six months.

I purchased this CPU in November as component of a combo set presented by Newegg to replace my aging AMD64 San Diego 2.2Ghz. It wasn't the very best CPU from AMD of the Thuban lineup. Even so, this factor can do much more than what you'd expect on paper, and will final for years to come! The 1055T can truly be a multi-tasking champ! Encodes video like no other too!I was capable to run TF2, Dawn of War two, and Mass Effect 2 on almost maxed-out gfx settings devoid of much of a hiccup in tandem with my Radeon 5770. For kicks, I've after even attempted operating all three games at once, and it didn't even go beyond 60% load on the CPU!As to OC, I was capable to get this point to run 3.5Ghz on stock air cooling, under no circumstances exceeding 47C even on loads. I'm still going to want further testing although, to make confident that it is stable at that speed. Needless to say, impressive! If you want worth and longevity out of your subsequent CPU build, then this is the appropriate CPU for the income! Not an i5 or i7, but so considerably less expensive what they' I'm saddened by my personal haste in purchasing this one particular, alternatively of waiting just 2 much more months for the 1090񳀼T. I'd enjoy to get a Black Edition, so that I have far more possibilities for OC. But it doesn't mean it can't OC; you just have to be inventive with it to get higher speeds.I've had some difficulty receiving my motherboard to recognize this CPU, but that's a BIOS challenge, not the CPU problem. Fixed that right after a fast bios update.I had to manually set the turbo multiplier speeds, as my personal computer was crashing a whole bunch when it goes Turbo. Otherwise, if you don't want Turbo, be positive to disable it in your CMOS-BIOS settings.Doesn't give me the pot of gold at the other side of the rainbow. At the moment, I've got this operating at:Phenom II 1055T Thuban OCƳ% at two.94ӯ.465Ghz TurboASUS M4A785TD-V EVO @ 2100 HTGskill Ripjaws 4x2GB DDR3 @ 1333 MhzSapphire Radeon 5770 1GBSeagate 1TB 7200rpm HDD, with W7 x64 OSOCZ 720W 80+ Efficiency PSUThermal-Take "Element G" Mid-tower case.Thermal-take 80mm 90cfm variable fan 1700rpmFinal thoughts: A good CPU for the price tag! Can do very a lot much more than you'd think it would. OC possibilities are light, but its not a Black Ed. Nonetheless, Turbo Core will aid in operating games and other CPU intensive programs, almost eliminating the require for manual OC. All round, its a great efficiency rig for the price range/intermediate gamer!

One particular of the best CPUs on the market can be had for much less than 赨. Upgraded from an Intel T6600 to the six-core Phenom II and this issue flies. The motherboard, CPU, and RAM all cost me much less than 跾, way less than their equivalent counterparts. Also, unlike Intel, AMD contains an extremely nice strong, stock fan with the CPU - while I wouldn't use it for overclocking. Otherwise, if you're even considering about obtaining this CPU - do it. It's far more than worth it. None. Want I had purchased this sooner.

CostPerformanceSIX CORES! None at all I got this for my initially real gaming build. In it I haveAMD Phenom II 1055t @ stock6GB DDR3 I overlook the speed but the brand is Geil and its a 3x2GB kitand a PowerColor Radeon HD 5770.It runs most of my games on maximum settings with like 200fps or so. I actually can not complain, I am honestly convinces at this point that Intel solutions are extremely overpriced.

Its a hex-core processor and its low cost. Stock fan is very and the heat-sink is effective enough for a stable 25% overclocking Ɠ.five GHz @ 1.4V) It is a tad bit slow. It's not Intel but its 贄 less costly than Intel's comparable quad-core processor and about 赨 than Intel's hex-core. So yes its going to be slower...and its 2.8GHz which is slower than a three.3Ghz quad/dual-core. Using all six cores tends to make running a number of applications much easier though.

My prior dual core would lag in the later stages of Civ five on a typical map. (Calculating actions for other nations) Now it sits at 30% on a big map waiting for me... even though I'm watching a film on the other monitor and playing on the internet poker at the similar time. Hadda acquire a new Mobo.

six cores - 3x the overall performance of a dual core processor ! If you do a lot of video processing, gaming, net browsing, programming, music listening etc. (optional AT THE Exact same TIME) perfect processor It does waste a lot of power when not idling compared to other processors and also has SSE2 only, in contrast to intel's SSE4.1 and upwards, which does impede the performance a small bit For the price and performance + the upgrade-ability selections following for AM3+ it's just wonderful. Intel owns 80% of the Computer marketplace, we have to make sure AMD gets some far more of that PIE in order for factors to keep competitive...

Quite satisified with this beast. OC'ed to three.4 and 7.five Index. . Not a Black Edition. Received as component of a DIY kit so no bending that AM2 socket pin. Kit had a good HEC PS at 585 watts.

Its much more processor than I really require, but due to the fact this develop is suppose to last at least four years I'll take it. It's cool. I don't recall it going above 30deg C at idle. All out hamster-wheel spinning will get it up to possibly 68deg C. No fireworks when I put it in. (That's what she stated. Zing!)

-A single of the major motives I went with this CPU and not an Intel processor was due to the fact of the price tag to performance ratio. You truly get a lot of bang for your buck with this CPU.-The stock CPU cooler is relatively impressive, and isn't loud.-This factor is rapidly!-Quick shipping, as generally by NewEgg. -I can't genuinely believe of something to put here.-I suppose that I could complain about the stock CPU cooler, but AMD's even completed a very good job on that.-The stock CPU cooler was a discomfort to get installed correctly, nonetheless. -This is coming from somebody who upgraded from a single core Intel Pentium 4 two.4 Ghz CPU. So I'm rather impressed with the distinction. I was taking into consideration replacing the thermal compound with some Arctic Silver 5 I had lying about from a earlier laptop processor upgrade, but I decided against it because this was my first method develop. Possibly when I get a new CPU cooler (it might be inevitable must I continue contributing to F@H throughout the summer time) I'll do it.-CPU temp is at 57-59 at full load with the stock CPU cooler. This is at a room with an typical temperature of 21-22 C. Not poor for the stock cooler.-I was going to go for a 1090T, but these have been a bit over my budget at the time. Seeking back, I wish I got a single for the overclocking added benefits, but considering realistically I barely get a likelihood to completely utilize this processor. Unless of course, I'm contributing to distributed computing projects such as Folding@Home.-This factor is a space heater, but watch the energy consumpt

It runs cool and quick, really hard to tell various by i7 and AMDx6.. but look at cost at 赓.99, can't beat it man!! AMD rocks! fan is small bit noise, but it won't make you want to adjust the fan suitable the way. I was a intel fan, but appear at the price.. is difficult to maintain me with it. AMD is acquiring superior superior and greater

I went from a single core intel at two.8 to this and I don't even wana type how delighted i am with this chip.I use the v8 cooler with this poor boy and it stays at 28 degrees C at idle it has by no means broken more than 40C even though playing sc2/cod/wow/batman something. I have however to have a challenge in anyway. None six cores for 179 bucks orintel six core for a grand?hmmmm

The quickest processor I have ever owned by far. Intel chips may possibly be slightly more rapidly but unless you are a hardcore gamer you will never notice. The overclocking possible is great generating this cpu one particular of the greatest values on the market nowadays. Extremely steady overclocking though I have only moderately OC'd it. Paired with an ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 and 16 GB's of RAM operating Win7 Pro 64-bit. Ridiculously rapidly. None. More speed than most will ever want. Great solution at a excellent cost.

General- It has done quite well for stock overall performance. Haven't really located a reason to overclock it. Of course, I didn't genuinely have a purpose to upgrade from a quad core either.- Superb price- The stock fan does excellent for regular use.Gaming- TF2: soon after adjusting some points, I can hit 350 fps typical. L4D2 fairly substantially goes the exact same way.- Crysis: 80 Fps is pretty good.- Metro 2033: Folks had been correct about this game being graphically demanding. CPU usage only hit about 15% though. The lowest I got was about 30 fps. This is possibly has much more to do with my card even though. Some thing witty that explains why I don't have a con. Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-880GMA-UD2H AM3Card: SAPPHIRE HD ATI Radeon 5750Ram: 8 GigsCash Spent on existing rig: 迀I haven't utilised amd till now and I don't actually care about the amd-intel rivalry factor either. I really feel the i7 series and the phenom II are effectively ahead of themselves. The gulftown series too. You're unquestionably not going to see a difference in overall performance of these chips. This applies particularly to heavy gamers like myself. The only factor I guess that created the hit or miss was the price.
