hec HP485D 485W Power Supply - No Power Cord

Reasonably quiet. Adequate number of cables of sufficient lengths for microATX motherboard and case. Power supply died less than 60 days after buy (with even fewer days of actual use). This PSU was integrated in a HEC 6K11 case I bought for a microATX computer I built for a buddy. Technique utilised MB integrated graphics, AMD Athlon II 95W processor and two SATA difficult drives. Not specifically a 'high power' program. It was turned off a single day and wouldn't power on again a few days later. Will try the RMA procedure and hope for greater luck the second time.

This PSU is surprisingly reputable and produces adequate power for my needs. This PSU and some new RAM assisted revive and older technique that exceeds my expectations. I'd advise it for a medium end develop that doesn't need giant power plant. I don't think I can hear it over my the old video card that's in that system so over all it's a amazing PSU. Nice price too... N/A The specs sticker on the side says Orion ... /shrug

decent energy provide so far...typing with it installed for 15 minutes. Undertaking the job. Named tech help for a uncomplicated query. I had a difficulty with my raided hard drives hook up. The energy provide was operating but just had a swift question. I was lucky adequate to get Mr. NotOurProblemYouNoob. I got hung up on and figured it out myself. Method is up and running but just a little buyer help would have saved me 20 minutes. So far so great, but don't expect consumer support to be friendly. He positive wasn't as well me.

Low cost, dependable, just what you want is a PS none for me I run my setup at ~ 300 watts, ~ 400 watts peak. If you will need a lot more than that I can't say if it would hold up - but I'd advocate a greater rated PS for that anyways.If you're on a budget and considering about shelling out additional for an antec, don't. This PS does what it advertises, no fuss.

Performs, sufficient mentioned for the price tag. Nothing at all that your average system builder would discover as a con. Some people will cry about the lack of a power cord. I have a drawer complete of them so this wasn't a con for me. Others will complain about bubble wrap packaging. Do you know how quite a few boxes I toss out simply because of pretty retail packaging??? Apart from, my children can play with the bubble wrap or I can use it for RMAs Oh yeah, you will will need your personal screws as well.

Dirt affordable. My old PSU melted for some explanation... then I had realized it'd been way beneath my needed wattage... woops. Newegg saves the day, although. The very best worth on a PSU I have discovered, quiet and not a single of 5+ I purchased more than the years has been DOA or malfunctioning, no power cord to add to the pile None located I have purchased a number of of this model interchangeably with the hec 585w model (the 485w has 33A on the two 12v lines vs. 39A with 585w) and I love them for price range gaming rigs and HTPCs. I have this quite PSU running a price range gaming rig with an AMD X2 2.6GHz overclocked to 3GHz and an 8800GT overclocked to 700񲿘 with out a hiccup. It stays quiet and keeps on going and going. I hope they maintain creating these for years to come...

485 watt plenty for most customers... Also low cost to offer a powercord, please. Sata power connectors do not connect well and call for operate just to hold them linked. Will by no means buy a single of these once more & I construct comps all the time.

Yes, I have a high understanding... been developing computers for 11 years, and been in the organization for about 9 years. Pros: works perfectly fine in an Athlon II X2 develop with 4gb of ram, 500gb 7200 drive, and a DVD burner. The power toggle switch on the back is broken. It's stuck in the on position. The toggle switch works, but if you really feel it oneself you will notice there's no additional CLICKING involved. Even when it's on "O" it's still on, lol. So I could have it on "-" or "O" and it's often on. Oh well At least it's stuck in the on position, or I would have RMA-ed. I'm a tiny disappointed about it. I know I could have opened up the PSU as I've accomplished this type of work just before, but why VOID it when it's working. If I RMA-ed, it would have cost me about บ to ship back and that would have been about half the cost of the item!!Take the chance with this PSU if your machine isn't super high priced. It does the job FWIW.

working for a 939 3800 dual core, seems to have enough energy to run the system stable, of course it is not a gaming rig. web cruiser and word machine, excellent selection for the income none however but i'll write a different review if it fails inside a year or so. if you can read this thank a teacher

Dual fan is a nice choice, while its not in a quite fantastic positon. Ontop or side would have been much better.Good power output. inexpensive price tag.IDE and SATA connections. A little larger, and harder to install. Plugs are tricky to push in, dont fairly fit appropriate away. Had alot of problems with the install. sound card was extended longer recognzied in Linux, Till after I removed the wireless card. Worked fine for about a week, till it stopped working, I changed slots and reinserted the wireless card, and now it operates fine.
