This device was bought for an appliance PC for which hard wiring is not an option. The PC is also openSUSE linux 11.1 - though my skills with Linux are limited, and wireless support for Linux has previously been notoriously difficult, the device was recognized correctly instantly upon install startup of a base build WITHOUT any driver software load required. There were some odd behaviors - hard to distinguish between OS config and hardware capabilities - signal strength showed weak, yet performed well/no native startup of the card/no connection to a WEP network without disabling Novell App Armor (not an issue with other hardware). That said, it could be set up quickly, and continues to work within the demands of the environment for which it was needed. Future desktop builds - Windows/other - will probably be wireless enabled within my environment because of this hardware. The adapter arrived in my mail just 2 days after I purchased it. It was easy to install and it gives me an excellent wireless connection. This is a great adapter and I would recommend it to anyone.

I bought this product and installed it in about 10 min.. The install couldn't have been easier with the supplied driver disk. My only complaint is with the driver disk being a mini cd, the manufacturer should consider going with full size cd.

This worked right out of the box and im very pleased. The only thing which doesnt make since is it comes with a mini disc for the drivers. I installed this on XP so i did need these drivers I had to transfer the drivers on my laptop to a thumbdrive. Desktops dont have the middle inserts in the cd/dvd drives which is need to hold the mini cd in place. Other than that it works perfect.
