This is a good item to have, especially in the days where hard drives are getting bigger and hotter. My sata-II hdd's were practically melting in their old spot (you try being crammed in with 3 other HDD's and see how cool you can stay.) now they are nice and cool. 5 1/4 drive bays going to waste? have more hdd's than you do places to put them? (my new MB can support 8 drives but case only has 6 slots) then this is for you! Other plusses ... Standard size fan - so if the fan gets noisy or dies, replacement is easier. Removable filter is a big plus, just pull it out, wash (LET IT DRY) and slip back in. Price will definitely make you think a minute, but how much are your drives worth? I would personally have designed this with space for two drives (for better airflow) but I can't complain too much. I will buy more!
