Easy to clip into place, though I see no advantage to the locking connectors. They are as well connected as other SATA cables which don't have the locks...

These cables are 100% IDENTICAL to the ones included in Gigabytes motherboards. So there is no doubt about the quality. The price is acceptable and the lock is very useful.

Picked up one of these yesterday for my 500GB Hitachi drive, works great. I like the locking connectors, which seem to work just fine. My cable was yellow, but that doesn't bother me since I'm the only one who looks inside my machine.

I added a couple of SATA DVD burners in my computer and these fit the bill, nice long cables. I received yellow ones, not red. Got them at a bargain price too.

I have been using these cables for some time now and overall and very satisified, however have one horror story to share. I was building my new system, and as I disconnected this cable it broke the plastic clip right from the sata drive leaving only thebare pins left. After hours of fiddling with it, and loads of 5 minute epoxy, I managed to permanantly glue a replacement cable on (I hope it never gets cut or broken eeek!)I wouldnt blame this on the cable, however its a cautionary tale. It was late, I wanted this system online, and forgot to unclip, so when I tugged off the cable. Snap.

Works great on several hard drives, but would not go straight in on one - little too wide to slide in beside the power cable on the drive. This length is quite adequate for all internal case usages.

got 2 of theses in the orange color matches my mother boardthey lock in place good for connecting hds get longer ones for you dvd burner

They're just as they're described, and work well, as good as the ones that come with most motherboards, with the exception of the locking tabs. The longer version in 24" cables will work better for optical drives situated farther away from the motherboard. I bought lots during the last sale but at any price you should always have about half a dozen of these hanging about.

Does exactly what it is manufacturered to do perfectly, not much else I can say except I have yet to have problems with nGear products, they are always cheap and work as they should.

It does what it's suppose to do. It has locking connectors to help stay connected. It's standard red colour, and is perfect length. When you get them on sale for about $2 each.. their a steal!

Great little upgrade to my system. The stock cables would work themselves loose if you touched them, these lock into place and shouldn't move. Nice and short so you don't have excess in your case.

I've used these to replace the already excellent locking cables that came with my Gigabyte board; I am building a silent system around the Antec P-182 case and wanted to reduce the clutter of cables (the SATA2 headers on the board are within a few inches of the 3.5 bays), reduce airflow restrictions (and attendant noise), and consequently contribute to a lower requirement on the fans. These do the job just right.

These things are awesome! They're also way better then the cheap crap that comes with motherboards! They don't feel flimsy or weak.

I bought a bunch of these on sale and when you have three or more devices, using shorter sata cables really cleans things up. In three different setups, these were just the right lenghts, and the clips are easy to use so i'm not worried about breaking pins off.

it is the sata cable in the length i am looking for, 24 inch is a bit too long, 12 inch is just about right in my setup :-)the locking feature is a good bonus to have as well

I just grabbed another SATA2 drive for my 939Dual so I ordered one of these cables too. I hadn't had any problems with the old cable included with my motherboard but my system soon started freezing on a regular basis after I attached it to my SATA port. I finally realized it was the fault of a bad connection with the old cable, so I taped it up good and it worked fine but I ordered a new clipped model just to be safe. The clipped cable gave me no problems at all.
