after switching to SATA2, my case has much more space and appears to be neater in terms of cabling. im not sure how this has improved airflow, if at all, but it is definitely better than using those old IDE cables w/ IDE drives.

It's a short Sata cable that locks into position. My hard drive connected to it without a hitch. As far a performance goes I did not notice even a small difference. So unless you need to rid yourself of excess cable length, or want the safety of knowing you SATA cable won't accidentaly become unplugged just stick to the ones included with you motherboard. I reverted from a 24 inch cable to this cable, and now it fits perfectly. The locking connectors also keep the connections intact.

This solved my freezing issue with my SATA cords becoming loose and freezing windows. Locking pins are the way to go. I'll never revert back to standard SATA again.

Perfect cable for securing the SATA connection between the motherboard and the SATA harddrive. Short in length ~ 12", which is shorter than the motherboard provided SATA cables. Sometimes too long creates cable clutter. Does not lock to my particular motherboard, but the locking SATA cable fits nice and secure at the hard drive connection.

Not much to say about this item at all. It does exactly what it was intended to do. I was installing a 2nd SATA drive and needed another cable and had the option of using my 600 points that have been sitting here collecting dust! lol. Not much use for the points otherwise so decided to save my $4.50

Its your basic sata cable. I purchased it on sale so it was a good deal. I had to replace a loose sata connection that i had on an already installed drive. This one snapped into place no problem and i havent had any issues with it yet. Its not as long as the ones I generally get in a motherboard package but it gets the job done.

I purchased two of these on special. These are perfect for workstations and servers alike. These are perfect for PC's that are transported often, as sometimes the SATA cable becomes loose. No more worries with this cable, I don't have to worry about it snagging on something and coming off a connector.

I bought this cable as I had an issue with the Sata cable that came with my mobo. It seemed to not be making the best connection. So I decided to try a locking connector and I am glad I did. This clips on nicely to my hard drive and doesn't come loose anymore. My motherboard doesn't allow it to lock on for some reason, but that has nothing to do with the cable, just an older style Sata connector on my mobo.Would be especially useful for those who take their rigs to LAN parties, or those who ship assembled PC's.The only thing that I could say that has been disappointing is the variation in price, but that is business. I have paid $6.15 and then 4.50 for this cable on sale, so I wish it had a lower regular price. Save yourself this situation and buy yourself a couple next time they come on sale as they are useful for both Sata and Sata2 drives.

Not much to say about these cable but it worth speding few extra cents to have the locking connectors. I will never go back to regular cables.
