Appears to operate nicely so far. The connection cable was broke when I received it. The red wire was out, alternatively of going by means of the RMA method, I went to a neighborhood utilised computer system shop, and they gave me a cable for free of charge, so it all worked out.

You are kidding appropriate? Win 7 shows that it connects, does not study sdhc 32gb nor sd 2gb. Attempted almost everything. IT gets power, it shows up as usb device. no driver updates on web page. Horrible. go with a brand name. ATECH DONT Buy IT, Commit A LITLE A lot more ITS WORTH IT b.c if you want to return it for บ, it just expense you more than if you had spend ů additional for a name brand reader.I only gave it 1 egg b/c cant place zero

Uncomplicated install, black matches the plastics of my optical drive completely, appears clean. None. I'll be acquiring more of these. Plastic covering the metal protects from dirt/scratches during production, I assume. Pleel away and install!

Does what it need to. Additional faceplates to match the front of your case. None. Decent cheap card reader for those that have a junky Fuji digital camera and their proprietary xD cards. Installed in dedicated HTPC and due to additional faceplates, not as ugly as I believed it would be. Would have liked one with a floppy drive, but not worth the additional $.

Installs just fine as XP, Vista and 7 install generic drivers automatically. Also, doesn't require a four-pin Power molex as it draws power from the USB connection. Comes with two faces. The USB jack is a bit of a snug fit but I assume I like it superior than becoming loose like most other jacks. Strangely enough, the 3.5 inch kind barely fits into my case which appears to be brought on by a screw that wasn't absolutely recessed into the casing. It's also a bit short as well but nothing I will knock an egg down for as these look to be case issues. Case: LIAN LI Computer-A05NB Black Aluminum ATX Mini Tower

This product works great... Installed it and had no difficulties reading my cards. None When installed, i attempted to get it as flush with the case as attainable, but the holes on my case are a small off.. but that didnt bother me at all, my case is a little odd, so i drilled new holes.. now it looks excellent!

Instantly detected and installed by Win 7; gets power from internal USB port; price tag was genuine low; it works... Installation was a little odd, but that could have been a Case issue; does not smell like bacon, nor make my pc levitate. Purchased this as a small add-on to a customers Pc, they had been really satisfied with it, and it hasn't offered them any headaches to speak of. Some evaluations on right here complain about the SD slot being upside down, meh. You only place it in incorrect when and then you under no circumstances make that error once more, so not truly undesirable enough to be deemed a negative. Going to acquire another 1 of these in a couple of weeks for an additional construct.

Economical.Supports numerous card forms. Some of the slots are upside down. For example, you have to place and SD card in with the gold contacts facing up. This is counter-intuitive and could confuse some customers.

Extremely uncomplicated set up, all three media forms attempted were quickly recognized and have had zero troubles. Far more of an challenge with Vista's management of the reader. Consistently obtaining a "Safely Take away Hardware" icon displayed in the Fast Tray due to the plug & play interface with the MoBo bugs me.

Works properly, does what it is supposed to. Doesn't require any annoying computer software. Buying an adapter to make it fit in a five.25" bay will double the all round value. Make certain you have an external three.5" bay or factor in the value of an adapter.Would advocate nonetheless.

Worked just like it stated. I place it in my construct as an extra, and I'm glad I did. it's a nice piece of hardware! I'm actually impatient, and I chose the slow shipping. It's not actually a con, but waiting 5 days (over the weekend) for parts to arrive is torture! Why not. It's only a couple of bucks.

functions great on SDHC and CF cards (which are all I have here. ) you need to have a floppy faceplace for your case, else your gonna have to cut a hole in the middle of an exiting a single connected it to a internal usb socket on the motherboard, turned the laptop or computer on and windows 7 x64 detected it with no complications

It's Inexpensive Built a dual core AMD for a buyer and had nothing but problems through Windows 7 load. It would get to the set-up screen fine but after a restart happened all I got was the dreaded blinking cursor. Right after troubleshooting for hours and disabling nearly everything in the bios, I unplugged this affordable piece of junk and have not had anymore troubles. It need to be DOA but expenses more to RMA so I guess I am stuck with it. Oh properly, this is the initially time one thing has not worked when it got good critiques. Just wish I wouldn't have wasted time trying to figure it out. Perhaps this post will help somebody else....Great Luck.

Further USB functions fine. SD card slot worked nicely for a although. SD slot works on and off. Tends to work for a couple minutes and then die out. Extremely tight fit in the situation; end of the USB cord that plugs into the reader is impossible to reach though it's in your situation due to a metal shield. Have entertaining if you accidentally unplug the USB cord.
