Reads a bunch of memory formats, and does not have a bunch of complicated additional stuff that's not crucial. It also looks excellent, and it added a third USB Port to the front of the pc. Cant assume of any.

Comment:
Has worked perfectly for 1.five years with Windows XP. I've applied it for SD, SmartMedia, and USB devices. No complications. Straightforward to install. Responds promptly to inserted media, and the light turns on and off like it's supposed to. Affordable and space-saving way to add card-reading capability to your Pc. The glossy black doesn't exactly match the flat black of my optical drives and case (boohoo!). No cause to give it much less than a 5. I'm no Windows professional, but if you're constructing a Pc, set up your challenging drives and optical drives ahead of installing this. I plugged it in for the initial boot, and it was assigned C, D, E and F, leaving G, H and I for my optical drives and difficult drive. Note: the USB port might appear "upside-down" compared the the ports on your case, but it works just the similar.

Cheap, looks great in case MS doesn't go in and SD (only cause I purchased it) will not read. Says it has to format SD and fails every time. Absolutely nothing but eye candy. If you want some thing that functions, don't purchase this.

This factor price 50% less than another brand I previously purchased for and yet it's easily 3x as rapid. It truly seems to operate at full USB 2. speeds. This unit truly does operate at the speed it claims to be. a full floppy size case would make it less complicated to mount in some instances. Did I mention this factor is in fact quite fast?

I mounted it in the 3.five external drive bay mainly because I need to read my CF cards and it works good. None. Comes with two face plates (black and silver). I installed the silver 1 and it looks awesome in my black mid-tower case.

Comment:
It was uncomplicated to install and at initial I thought it was going to perform great. I only needed it for the the SD and the MS slots. Other than the quickly install of this device no other pro remarks. I very first plugged in a SD Memory Stick Pro Duo and it took for ever for it to even uncover the SD card. When it did it was not formated and it asked if I wanted to format. I check yes and then right after 45 minutes it lastly finshed the format. I then tried to appear below the disk to install files and it took far more time just to open it. I have a quick laptop or computer with a quickly chip so I know that my laptop or computer is not the difficulty with this unit. If I were the next shopper searching to locate something that worked the very first time, then I would not waste my time or income on this reader.

Comment:
Reads SD and CF cards, adds an additional USB port to the front of my case (saves me from getting to reach about to the back) Does not sit flush with case, the screw holes only lined up on one side of the case so it wiggles a bit when you push a card in. Also, I managed to bend a pin in the CF card reader the initially time I put a card in. Fortunately, I was able to disassemble the frame and bend the pin back and it seems fine now. SD cards go in upside down as other people have said, but this seems to be a frequent (albeit strange) "feature" of internal readers. Be incredibly careful with the CF slot.

I only use it with a small ssd from my camera, and that works perfectly. It's a straightforward and functional style. Don't need far more than that. Extremely price effective. Not certain how it will hold up over time. Seems too straightforward for there to be much to screw up though. If anything adjustments soon after owning it for much more than a year I'll be sure to write an appropriately justified assessment for that. I'd recommend it.

Comment:
It was low-cost, not really tough to install, and it works with no drivers required. The placement of the screw holes created it impossible for me to mount it flush with the front of my case (an Antec Sonata Designer 500), so it sits back a little bit, allowing much more dust than I'd like to get sucked into the case. Also, it is considerably slower than the Ŭ external USB two. SDHC reader I have laying around. Even though this could be an obscure configuration difficulty with my motherboard's internal USB headers, I've poked around and haven't been able to come across any way to speed it up to full USB two. speeds.

Cheap. Too low cost. The one I received had a bent pin in the Compact Flash slot (the one slot I basically required, of course). Impossible to straighten, and there's little point in RMAing a ten-dollar product. Going to stick with a name brand for my subsequent 1.

Looks excellent. Black color matches perfectly with my case color. Reads and writes mmc cards just like I expect it to. Cheep price to. One of the pins for the CF/MD plug in was bent. I purchased this reader for the sole purpose of reading and writing stuff onto a SD MMC card. If I had purchased it for the CF/MD reader I would be fairly agriveated and would have given this a negative rating. But it does what I want it to do.

Simple install into an open bay I connected the cable to an open internal USB connector on the mobo, and as soon as I turned on the personal computer the cable became hot, the insulation melted, and it shorted out. No way of understanding whether the cable was damaged on arrival or the problem is with my mobo.

It works sometimes. I have two in 2 computers. One has in no way worked, it often says the media is read only, no matter what media, there is no read only switch, so I suspect internal failure. The other worked often with XP, but since win 7 64 bit upgrade, takes a lengthy time to recognize card, then gives blue screen of death trying to read from card and LOST Information. Intel MB with Core 2 Duo & Gigabyte MB with same. I contacted tech support, "Check two items, your cable connection; then, go into your BIOS to see if you will need to set USB power.Other than that, it is a plug n play device that work for all Windows, contain 7 64 bit.If absolutely nothing assists, send us your invoice copy, we will concern RMA# for you to send back, we will fix it or send replacement.Regards,Support / nMedia Method"They provided to RMA it, and are nice enough, but decided a บ device that is for 2, is not some thing I want to hassle with repairing. I will upgrade to a greater device. I applied one more external card reader device with the very same card and all is good, so I am fairly confident these have failed. Consider spending more for a far better device.

Cons:Won't fit nicely into 3.5" bay

Pros:Works with a variety of cards, including SDHC, cheap

Great value for a great price, but the construction on this card reader is pitiful. It took me 20 minutes before I could squeeze the drive to fit flush into the 3.5" bay. Other than the install, the reader works!

Cons:Mine didn't fit in the 3.5" external drive bay... Had to remove a side screw to squeeze it in. Plastic swappable front panel fits on a bit loose and perhaps even a little unevenly.

Pros:Does what it's supposed too.

Generally low quality. Works as it's supposed to though. had trouble squeezing it in, I had to remove a screw for it to fit. For the full review press read more >>>
