Solid construction. Great color reproduction and contrast compared to my previous LG TN screen. Had it for almost two years now.I will never go back to non-IPS screens.

Cons: At this time no negative issues

Pros: Great screen for the money, no dead or stuck pixels, well packed and came with all cables, good warranty. Great service from NCIX
Comment:
I'm just an average user, I purchased this display mainly for photography, possibly a bit of gaming. NCIX was bang on! called in to place the order on Monday and the display showed up on Tuesday AM, great service. What was really interesting when doing my research the monitors I looked at where ASUS, Dell, HP and Samsung. I found that ASUS, Dell and HP shared the same display panels but the price was anywhare for $60 to $180 for the same size and spec (ASUS) was the least expensive. Here's a link to the site with information about each displayDell U2412M8ms G2G 24"WS LG.Display e-IPS (LM240WU8-SLA2) Amazon$421.83 1 yr WarrantyDell U24136ms G2G 24"WS LG.Display AH-IPS (LM240WU9-SLA1) Dell$499.99 3 yr WarrantyAsus PA248Q6ms G2G 24"WS LG.Display e-IPS (LM240WU8-SLA2) NCIX$363.89 3 yr warrantyHP ZR2440w6ms G2G 24"WS LG.Display e-IPS (LM240WU8-SLA1) NCIX$423.57 1 yr warranty So when someone says a Dell U242M has a better quality screen or looks better then the ASUS PA248Q they are really fooling themselves and dropping an extra $180.00 plus ASUS offers 3 yr warranty.I was also able to get a price match for this display from NCIX which saved me an extra $25.00, so with the $20.00 mail-in rebate and the price match the total I paid was $318.89 plus tax.

Cons: Ho hum style, lack of HDMI cable

Pros: Great screen
Comment:
Overall a great monitor even though it's style is rather bland. It was time to replace my LG L246WP and this is the perfect replacement as I could never accept a 1080P monitor.

Cons: complaints online regarding bleeding backlight/DVI blinking problems. USB hub problem ends up damaging flash drives plugged in.

Pros: 16:10 resolution. IPS. Tilt and pivot. Professional Grade
Comment:
Overall, happy with the visual quality of this monitor.I wanted IPS. I wanted 1920x1200 at least and this provides it. Great visual quality but online comments abound regarding DVI signal/blinking issues. I haven't noticed this though.I do notice that there is a "surge on a USB device warning" for the usb 3.0 hub built in.After it fried 2 flash drives and erased the data off a external hard drive; I taped up the usb ports and disconnected it.I don't want to send it back by RMA as it's a lottery on what type of monitor you get back.I'd rather just go spend $20 on a usb hub not built into the monitor.Otherwise, as a monitor; not bad.No speakers though.

Pros: -colours are great and is already calibrated out of the box-stand is dam robust for something mostly plastic-quickfit is great for sizing printouts
Comment:
a great workstation monitor overall. i wouldnt personally recommend this for gaming especially for the premium you have to pay for the 16:10 aspect ratio and that these panels werent meant for speed (although gaming isnt a big issue)

Great monitor for the price, adjusts for just about any height or angle. Fun to have usb ports on there as well. It would be nice to have some form of cable management on the stand although the monitor does come with cable ties.

physically it's the best looking monitor on the market, with adjustable tilt, swivel, height and portrait/landscape. completely customizable display settings, but works flawlessly right out of the box. the 4xUSB 3.0 hub is a bonus too. love Asus products, and own many.

tested out a little gaming on this, 16:10 definitely makes a difference, the colours make a huge difference. No regrets whatsoever, I've got mine sat next to the 23" which is in Portrait mode, loads more area to work with. One of the fellows I work with is ordering the 27" tomorrow to one up me.

I am a CG artist and i have used Dell Ultrasharp 24 " at work for more than 5 years and always want to replace my home monitor with Dell's. Thanks to Asus for manufacturing this beautiful monitor with HDMI, USB 3 included at a very lower cost. The image on this monitor is superior and I'd highly recommend to anyone, either for work or home.

Cons: IPS simply it's worth the extra cost.

Pros: Awesome picture, USB 3.0 hub, Vivid Colours and Great Colour Reproduction
Comment:
Bought this for a client because she wanted an IPS Screen. If you want an IPS screen and are willing to pay for it, then this screen is great! It looks beautiful and has great functionality. And for an IPS screen the price is very good, in fact its the cheapest I've seen. But these prices will probably drop  quiet a bit in the next little while as the technology ages. With that said, I feel IPS is almost a gimmick and is really only useful in a niche market like for photo editing where color accuracy is important. For gaming or everyday use, just get a good LED monitor for less then half the price, heck you could buy two for the price of one of these and dually it up! Anyways for what it is, it is a great monitor and I can't take that away from it. 5 stars.

Cons: -a little backlight bleed in the corners, but no deal breaker to me. It depends on your utilization I guess.

Pros: -IPS and LED backlit!-USB 3.0-Comes with all cables-Fast enough for FPS games-no more red line on the bezel!-Really sturdy construction and stand-1920 x120 (16 X 10) ratio rules-HDMI, DVI, displayport!-not shiny, and the anti-glare is not intrusive
Comment:
I really love this thing! No dead pixel whatsoever, it came with all cables including HDMI which is rare. Asus got rid of the red line on the front bezel (was bothering some people I guess).Reactivity is great, screen is fast enough for Battlefield 3, MOH Warfighter and other fast titles. Faster that D(H)ell U2412 for games. No imput lag. Came calibrated from the factory. I just set the TRACE-FREE option to 40 (recommended in reviews if you're a gamer). got an awesome Week-end-only deal from NCIX!I really dig the 16 X 10 ratio. Perfect replacement for my oldie Sammy T220. I waited so long for a decently priced, fast enough for games IPS monitor with a 16 X 10 ratio...There is some backlight bleeding in the corners, visible only on black backgroud...it doesn't matter to me cause I game and browse the net with it. For some professional photo editor it might be a big deal...to me it's not.

I was only going to give this a 4 star due to some minor back-light bleeding, but after using the monitor for a week, the bleeding seems to have disappeared. This is my 3rd IPS monitor, as I also own 2 Dell 22" IPS monitors. The ASUS is nicer to work with due to size. All 3 monitors have great colour. My Dell monitors were calibrated with a Spyder unit, the Asus looked great out of the box.I highly recommend this monitor.

Cons: Panel buttons are tough to see when dark - would be nice if they lit up when used.

Pros: IPS Panel, 4 x USB 3.0 hub, included display port cable, solid base, easy to adjust height
Comment:
I got this because I wanted accurate colors for photo editing and mainly because I realized how poor the viewing angles and colors were with my Samsung T220HD (has a TN panel). My decision for a good IPS panel boiled down to 2 choices - this PA248Q model or the smaller PA238QR. For $100 more, why the PA248Q over the PA238QR?- at 16:10 compared to the PA238QR's 16:9 resolution, the extra vertical height is great for photo editing and web-surfing. Also great for gaming. The choice in resolution really depends on what you will be using the monitor for and how much time is spent between web-surfing compared to watching movies that are 16:9 compatible and gaming. - PA248Q has a 4 x USB 3.0 hub. PA238QR only has USB 2.0 ports- Display port cable is included in the PA248Q and not the PA238QRThe PA238QR looks like a great and inexpensive IPS monitor gaming and watching movies, but for me, the PA248Q more suited my needs.I also play Battlefield 3, CS:GO and few other games and haven't had any problems with ghosting.About the factory-set color calibration, the monitor had a little bit of a blue hue which made colors slightly cool. I calibrated the monitor with my Spyder 3 pro. Other than the blueish hue, the colors were pretty spot on. Nothing much was changed after my calibration. You won't regret buying this monitor.

Pros: Good imageStable baseEasy set-up4 USB 3.0 ports
Comment:
I was looking for an IPS screen but did want to spend over $500 on a top-of-the line model. This model was a perfect fit between price and quality. First unit I received had 1 dead pixel but I was able to exchange it for a second unit (with no dead or stuck pixels) via the NCIX express coverage program. I would recommend this screen for someone who wants the advantages of an IPS screen but does not want to break the bank to get it. Lots of connectivity ports as well as 4 USB 3.0 ports.

Cons: None so far. Based on my experience with monitors, if there are no issues out of the box there arn't likely to be any in the future.

Pros: NCIX order processing speed/fast shipping. The monitor itself is excellent value at the price paid.
Comment:
It's a quality display that works perfectly out of the box. 16:10 is vastly superior for websurfing and working with photos and documents. The user control/adjustment interface with the joystick function is the most practical I've encountered on any monitor. Very good quality adjustable stand. I ordered this monitor on-line on a Monday morning and NCIX had it delivered to my door in Yellowknife at suppertime on Thursday. That's the best on-line customer service I've ever received at my remote location and I sure appreciate it.

Comment:
In terms of display quality, it's one of the best displays I've ever used. The resolution is great for this size, and adjusting the monitor is very easy. Having USB 3.0 ports is really great to have, and not something I've found on another monitor. It also takes sound via HDMI and DisplayPort, letting you plug in speakers to the monitor for audio-out. The colour calibration settings are fairly simple to figure out, and there are lots of advanced settings to play with.

Pros: Excellent calibration, very good uniformity, 4port USB3 hub, minimalist styling
Comment:
As an owner of a print shop I have several Ultra-sharps (2410 & 2412)& an older Lacie - I expected this to be pretty comparable to the Dell's but it surprised me - simply a stunning LCD for the price.Calibration was excellent - out of the box the first screen I've ever purchased that is actually usable as-is for reasonably critical photo editing.Uniformity was better than expected - noticeably better than the Ultrasharp's & Of course as an IPS panel viewing angle is excellent. If you really need the expanded gamut look at the PA246Q, and if you're on a budget consider the 23" PA238q, but for most people this will be a fantastic choice.
