Cons: Some flimsy plastic fixings, wiring to front fans is susceptible to damage

Pros: Large case with plenty of internal space. Good dust filtering.
Comment:
The side window fell out after 18 months now held in by tape. The wires to the front fans easily get snagged. The retaining screw fixings for the front panel broke easily.

Every location feasible there is a fan which is nice for a fan cooled computer. So if your either at the stage before you purchase liquid cooling or are seeking for a fantastic liquid cooling pc case this is the a single. It is set up, all you have to do is get the components. (it has a plate to drill out mounts for the pump and such) And if there isn't enough room inside the case, there is holes with grommets in the back to run cooling lines out. (I don't for see not obtaining adequate space being an concern) Other people wrote about this too, the only point notible was of the three adjustable fan controls in the front, the bottom a single was a bit stiff. I just spun it about a few instances to loosen it up. Not worth docking on rating over, just a little annoying. No power led ( i dont suppose you truly will need it though) the manual says the fans that light up in the front count (not negative if this is all i can consider of!) I underestimated the size of this beast. Individuals said to measure where you had been planning on placing it. You probably ought to. It wont match under my desk! Two usb two. ports and a usb 3. port on the front of the case.

This is my initial build and I will be using this computer for music. I haven't actually used it however but this case is a beast. A lot of room for drives. Fans run very specially for the size of the big boy. good case so far. plenty of room for expansion. Appreciate the LED's on fans. cable management but I assume that comes with any laptop so it is not too huge a deal. Adore newegg. excellent service everytime. come very encouraged by me.

I was rebuilding my 2 year old Antec 1200 with a MSI GD-65 and a i5 2500K, and I decided that I wanted to do GTX 560 SLI. I bought a Thermaltake Frio for the CPU. I believed to my self I need to have another in case fan bracket to cool this beast. I just hit up Antec consumer service and they sent me another case fan bracket so i could have my upper and middle fans tunnels! I was so shocked they didn't even care, I didn't even bother to lie and tell them I didn't get one. So I have 2 fans inside and that's remarkable. Nada Large ups Antec

It's actually large. Like the other reviewer said, I just stared at it for 15 minutes ahead of I began to make. Fans are extremely quiet. Previous case b4 was the Rosewill Challenger, and Raidmax storm b4 that. This is substantially quieter than these. You can surely hear the fans (case is only two feet next to me, a foot off the ground) but I am pleased with the noise volume (all fans on lowest setting). Fans on mid or high are quite noisy. I am actually picky about noise. Nice separation with the challenging drives, about threeǚ inch involving HDD's for air flow. Good blue look to the fans and throws a honeycomb pattern on the walls and ceiling. Unscrew the honeycomb grill off the side panel to enlarge the window. You have to take off each panels and unscrew eight thumbscrews to clean the front fans and unscrew four a lot more screws to take away a HDD. I am pondering of just keeping the fans out since the dust is going to fall in via the massive boy fan anyway. The Major Boy fan (Top 200mm fan) has a noise to it. Sounded like a locomotive. It was faint but it was there and it drove me nuts. The slightest noise will drown it out and maybe it requirements to perform in, but if it keeps it up I will just unplug the Major Boy. Why not a usb, usb3, and eSATA in the front? Yes, the USB3 cable is pretty stupid but I don’t truly have any USB3 headers on my mobo. Wish the case cables in particular the rear & huge boy fans have been longer. Making use of the bracket for the USB3 cable would have routed the cable appropriate across the mobo. I just ran it out of the watercooling tubes so I could tuck it neatly in the case. CONS Con't: The side covers do not truly snap in. They do go on straightforward, but you will will need to use the rear thumb screws to retain them on of they will fall off if you look at them weird. Would have liked the mobo to be mounted greater in the case. It really sits in the middle. UPDATE: yesterday I did not hear the locomotive fan noise at all. Maybe it does want to work in a tiny. Would have also liked a vent underneath for the PSU. Has a rough powder coating that will rub your skin cells off your hands and leave white streaks. This is a large list of gripes but they are not deal breakers as opposed to the pros; it's major, extremely effectively made, really quiet, cool. All fans on lowest setting, speccy reported mobo temps of 26c on moderate duty. My Antec 750 watt PS's cables have been lots lengthy.I spent about a year searching for the excellent case. This one is not perfect but I like it a lot and will be on display for years to come.

LargeAmazing AirflowStrong feelBlue LED's appear fantastic with my new makeUSB three. Heavy - But that's to be expected with a full towerThe weight is the only downside I can feel of, which speaks for itself on how good this case is! The weight is genuinely only a con mainly because I reside in a basement apartment and have to stroll up two flights of stairs with this thing complete of stuff so I can take it outdoors to spray dust it. The cable management is wonderful, but it takes some precise cable running to get them to fit behind it. I wish they would have created the cable management area half an inch wider so some of the cable ends would have match far better without having getting squashed.

Please note I own v2. of this case (no USB 3. connector in the front of the case) I can’t say enough great points about this case, It’s rock strong, it gives all the air cooling you require, quite a few configuration options, lots of area to function with, back plate with CPU and many wiring cut outs, and variable speed LED lit fans galore! I believed the fan LED’s would be annoying but I was shocked to see how they don’t truly flicker that considerably. I did a lot of research just before I purchased this case. The Antec 1200 supplied the look, the space, and the choices I was looking for in my new Sandy Bridge water cooled create. This case was not a perfect fit for what I ended up needing / performing but I had enjoyable modding it and I am extremely pleased with the results. Other folks have complaints about this case that IMO are unwarranted and mainly revolve about the truth that it is bigger and heavier than other situations; yes it is a full tower case produced of steel. Others also have concerns with the 8 thumb screws that retain the drive bays in location; I would agree with this complain if I located a need to have to eliminate drive bays typically. I would like to see Antec replace the optional 200mm Aluminum / Aluminum composite radiator with 1 created of copper or re-style the top of the case with vent holes for two 120mm fans rather of the 200mm they have now and a mounting setup for a normal 240 mm sized radiator that they could sell or could be bought from third parties like Newegg.com or other Pc water cooling solution sellers. As other reviewers have described make sure the energy provide you strategy on utilizing for this case has extra-extended wiring cables that will reach the energy connection points of the mobo. Due to the fact this case is a bottom mount PSU style you will want to mount your PSU upside down with the wiring situated at the other side of the PSU (away from the mobo tray wall). My PSU listed under had cables extended enough but I opted to mod the case by drilling a hole in the bottom of the case and adding taller case feet with a dust filter I produced from the side case window with the fan hole (bought an additional side panel from Antec).BTW I'm using the Antec Aluminum radiator and it's operating nicely just be positive to use a quality anti-corrosive coolant and modify your coolant fluid each four-6 months. The case is huge and best for a file server. There are alot of fans, possibly also quite a few. I have yet to hook them up to see how loud they get. There are also settings on the back of the case, it seems to be fan controls for speed but I haven't played with them to know for sure.I like how you can take sections of the drive bays out for mounting and just slide in 3 at a time. The metal near the expansion ports seemed to have been slightly bent. It was bent outward not inward, so it looks like a defect in manufacturing rather than shipping. It's a few millimeters pointing outward, so it has a tendency to want to pull out the cards plugged into the MB. Nothing a hammer can't fix.I use all 9 3.five" drive bays and two of the screws were not the right ones to mount into the bays. Every single challenging drive screw has 4 screw holes, and 9x4 screws for it must be the identical, but 2 are of a various kind and have various machined threading density on the screws so definitely the wrong sort of screws got thrown into the pile, not a enormous concern as I can just use 2 screws for the last drive rather of all four. One particular of the cable holders is a sticky pad, and the tape was already taken off (like it was currently mounted) but was just dangling in the case, but it still seemed to work still but obviously an challenge. I'm satisfied with the acquire. Not great but pretty close for a full sized tower.

This baby has all the space you could need to have! If your making use of duel video cards, plenty of area for cooling with the 3 front fans. Love that the fans on the case are all adjustable. The blue led lighted fans are a plus! All in all, it's just a wonderful case for the value! None that I've found as of now!! Wish it could do my laundry!

- Fantastic cooling system.- Lots of area and access to side panel for cable management.- Very adaptable.I'd advise this case really very. Only difficulties I've had:-Removing the fan filters is a discomfort, taking out eight thumbscrews to get each filter out. Not a large deal, but still.-Could use additional room on the side panel for cables, they don't fairly fit as nicely as a single would hope. Only other thing, I want I could modify the LED colors. Aesthetic and not a big deal at all. Also, note that the side fan is not integrated, but they're affordable adequate (~ฟ) and a have to for maintaining the GPU as cool as achievable.

Roomy, great cable management, tons of airflow, effortless set up. The leds are also bright to commence with and can't be switched off. It would also be nice if you could unplug the front fans on the fan end. You have to dig by means of wires and unplug the fan from the PSU every single time you want to take that slot out to add/remove a HD in, and want to leave slack in the wiring to change filters. It is also a bit thin. It is wide adequate for generally any hardware, but my side fan is pressing against the tube for my corsair H7 CPU cooler. Case nevertheless closes, just pushes against it a bit. There is a PSU created specifically for this case. You don't will need to acquire it, but its good, highly reccomended.

Totally an incredible case. Well built, looks excellent, really quiet fans, tooless, lots of room for anything you need, and cools extremely properly.Appreciate the quantity of fans and the front fan speed controls for each and every fan. Has outstanding wire management capability and holds Duel GTX 460 GPU's with no challenge. The front USB 3. is plugged in with a cable that runs from the mother board, out the back of the case, and plugged into a single of the USB three. ports on the back of the MB.I knew about this when I purchased it and didnt genuinely even need to have to hook it up as I dont program on having any USB 3. needs for a lengthy time so I will not knock an egg off. When i initial opened this case up, my draw dropped and I just sat there staring at it, inside and out for about 20 mins ahead of I began constructing.I would hugely recommend this case to everyone who has want of a complete tower.

Im an owner of the original Antec 1200 and I gotta say I certainly enjoy this case. Ive owned it due to the fact Oct. 2008 and never regretted it. To answer a couple of concerns about the v3, it doesn't appear like it has an external sata port on the front like v1 has. It appears like the USB3. took that spot over. So on the front it has 2xUSB2. slots and 1xUSB3.. IMO, I dont think the USB3. on the front of the case would run out the back, if something, if you have a USB3. compatible motherboard, it would just plug into the USB3. connector on the board. Other than that, this case has massive airflow and keeps my system running cool. I highly advocate it. Really like the built in fan controls. Saves from possessing to purchase an a third celebration and mounting it in an external drive bay. My CPU power cable does not attain the connection on the motherboard if i route the cable behind the motherboard tray. Nonetheless, that's really a con of the PSU and NOT the case. Other than that, I have complaints. My laptop consists of the following:Intel X3350 @ 3.8GHzAsus P5Q Deluxe motherboardG.Skill 4GB DDR2 1000 ƒx2GB)BFG nVIDIA GTX285Creative X-Fi XtremegamerAntec 1200 (version 1)My CPU does not have a fan on it and at stock speeds ƒ.6GHz), my CPU runs at a cool 17*C. You read that correct. Idle at three.8GHz, its 23*C. This is just with a heatsink. This is a should get case.

Massive. Well built, attractive, cool case. Keeps all internal elements cool. Has USB 3. port up top. When they added the USB three. port on the best panel all they actually did was slap it in there in location of the eSATA port that was there in v2. And there are two genuinely inexpensive seeking pieces of plastic placed around the port to make up for the space distinction in the hole that the port was placed in. Look at pics and you'll get what I imply. It just looks a bit low cost.

This is a giant case. Plenty of room for anything. Under full load my cpu is 5-7 degrees cooler and my video card is ten-12 degrees cooler than it was in my old raidmax scorpio. Incredibly quiet compared to most instances I've applied/seen. Not a fan of leds, but the case was also wonderful to pass up. I'll almost certainly finish up removing the leds from the fans. This case is very straightforward to construct in. I had a lot of alignment difficulties in my old case, always possessing to cut pieces away and fine tune every screw just to get the mobo lined up with the back panel. This thing fit every little thing best. Only factor I didn't mount are my ssd drives, which I usually just leave hanging about somewhere anyway.

Really substantial case, and very good airflow. I am a proud owner of the V2 Antec 1200 I have had it for properly more than a year. There is truly no dif in the V2 And V3 other then a larger hole for cable management and the USB3. I liked the Antec 1200 so considerably I bought the V3 To Replace the V2 I had. I swapped the total side window door from my old Antec 1200 to this 1. Absolutely none other then the loud fans on high anyways. With all the fans on low it is not loud at all but not significantly airflow. I swapped all the fans out to quieter ones bought from the egg. I very easily fit two dual 120mm Radiators in here.
