Good unit, compact and easy to set up. I got it on a shell shocker for ฤ, so for what I paid it is an superb buy. It would be nice if the antenna was removable.

Set it up as a wifi router (No web connection) was working excellent, Wireless G+N all in wonderful swing. once comsat broadband was installed at the home plugged it in and it auto configed the setup as soon as it had the connection. none so far.. was attempting to connect it up to my Droid's 3G web hotspot to share to the wired network. Had to connect as a wifi bridge not a access point. But I could have been producing it a lot more difficult than it required to be..WILL BE Obtaining A lot more. it's less costly to bridge these wired xbox 360 than obtain a ๳ wireless N adapter for Microsoft. AOSS Creating pairing DEAD Straightforward.

Price was excellent, decent kind aspect, interface was not terrible thinking about (see cons below)... for a Single band of usage it's a fantastic device. Seems to have problems with mixing devices of unique bands. Have iPhone 3GS, notebook (g only) and iPod Touch four (n and g). Laptop and 3gs work collectively fine, iPod Touches work fine together but if you connect with a G device although N devices are connected every thing then starts to have problems, n connections get dropped. N appears to drop, and G will perform but iPod Touches then can't connect until the G devices go away. Assistance from Buffalo about this challenge is useless.

Low cost & Smaller Inconsistent overall performance with bad user interface. I am unable to upload when behind this router, even right after employing port forwarding. Consumer & Technical help is poor! I miss my linksys!

Small, nice aesthetics, swift to setup as a router, can configure itself for adequate security (defaults WPA2-PSK with AES, broadcasting an SSID based on its wifi adapter's MAC address, and with its default SSID, PSK, and AOSS PIN printed on a label on the device itself). If all you want is basic simple routing or repeating or WDS, this seems to function fairly nicely and at a price that can't be beat. Can't support dd-wrt, navigating the internet ui also soon immediately after creating alterations can cause a condition which calls for a total reset (losing ALL user settings), I couldn't get it to function as a client bridge. All the documentation seems to recommend this kind of operation need to be possible, but if it is, it not clear how to configure it. I ordered this as somewhat of an impulse purchase shortly right after upgrading my network to wireless-n. My hope was to install the WCR-GN as an N-capable bridge in a corner of the house that tends to block wifi signals. Soon after many hours more than a few nights, I couldn't get it to communicate effectively in the desired manner. I sooner or later caved and configured my old wireless-G router as a client bridge. I'll hang onto the WCR-GN, nonetheless, as I have a buddy that's been asking me to assist him add wifi capability to his network, and provided the ease with which it can be configured as a tradtional router, I think it'll come across a fantastic property with him. (and if it ever gets a dd-wrt port, I would look at acquiring a different)

Effortless setupModest & unobtrusiveGood costStreaming content operates with out stutters. None for my application. A setup CD was integrated in the package. I never ever installed it. I utilized the speedy manual install and then configured the router by way of a internet browser. I configured it as a router and use the 802.11 n with my LG blue ray player to stream content. I'm running Windows 7 and DSL.

Modest. Inexpensive. Rapid speeds. Super uncomplicated setup. Good, simple interface. Lots of functions and flexibility. Multiple SSIDs, bridging capability... what far more can you ask for? None however. Haven't owned it extended adequate. If microseconds matter to you, it may not the fastest N router out there... I imply for 30 bucks, how could it be? Doesn't at present assistance 3rd party firmware - but who cares? The firmware on-board is working fine. Who truly sits and watches fancy graphs of router website traffic? I have to assume that men and women who had difficulty setting up this router have never set one up before. I've utilized Tomato and ddwrt on my WRT54GL and the Buffalo interface is far better than each IMO. Employing this as a secure router. I never needed the setup CD, just plugged in wired and searched the net for the default username/pw. Wireless up and running in 10 mins.

wireless-n, many ssid's, stable, modest, really inexpensive no potential to monitor bandwith, awkward to configure in general, no tomato or dd-wrt yet The default buffalo firmware is rapid responding but a bit fugly. I like how zippy it is (if you've owned a linksys g router you know how painful that is), but it would have to be to handle the n speeds. The directions and support are a bit awkward to fully grasp, for example the 'AirStation Name' is not the ssid noticed by wireless customers, and the description of the Separate Function is only "Connected wireless devices can communicate with WAN side devices if this setting is enabled." Reads a bit like a negative Korean translation. The 150mbps speed defaults to off, you have to allow the secondary channel. On the other hand, it handles skype voice and video, voice chat plus on-line gaming, all though streaming netflix and operating a torrent, just fine and is still responsive. Both wireless-n and wireless-g customers each connect to it at the very same time with no concerns, and it even has a wep-only ssid for my nintendo ds. I haven't tried to push the limits, but.

I am a techie by trade and hobby but new to WiFi. I was fearful of obtaining this and setting it up "securely" but discovered it to be so easy, that I now wonder why I was afraid of it. It does not call for an IT individual to set it up or connect to it. Just comply with the included directions. I got it for the "N" but the range for my old "G"s has more than tripled in strength. At times takes much more than 1 attempt to get in sync with clientele. I had 5 Pc's and a single Blueray player to do. 3 of the 5 Computer's sync'd on 1st try as did the Blueray. I get inexpensive and try to steer clear of "cheap". I am content with this buy and had several recommendations for Buffalo from my WiFi techie close friends... not disappointed.

I bought this to use as an access point (wifi to ethernet), and it works as advertised. The price (the Egg had it for ฤ on special) was more affordable than any other router/access point out there. Low-cost + works= a win. Setup is not also intuitive, but by no signifies the worst I have run across more than the years. AOSS would not work with WCR-GN in access point mode (likely not designed to) when connecting to WRT54GL. Like I said, ฤ, it functions for what I need to have.

It's affordable, smaller, and white. The user interface is awful. I've set up dozens of wireless networks, and in no way had as much trouble as I did with this router.I tried to update the firmware, but each and every version I tried to load from the Buffalo website gave me an error message. It also failed to find the DHCP server from my ISP, regardless of a different router operating fine. I can't say that's a router issue, although, given that plugging this router into the other one discovered a DHCP server.I'm returning it. It's going to cost me ฟ, but the ภ I do get back will be going towards an high priced router.

For ร.95, it's a bargain. Small footprint & clean look. Acts as a bridge with a single button alter in the net set up. Appears to have pretty superior range in my home. Performs fine with my mobile devices (had some problems with laptop). OK, it's a bit messy to set it up, with complicated UI set up pages, specifically when it's becoming employed for a 2nd network, tied into a different principal router. Flexibility can be had with simplicity, but Buffalo demands to function on that. I'll forgive them mainly because it's low cost. Original version of firmware was buggier when connected to laptop (but mobile devices seemed fine). Updated to most recent firmware and it *seems* far better.

Great price tag (got it for 20$), really tiny and lightweight, excellent for hooking up a house theatre setup to a wireless network Not that straightforward to figure out. The included manual states the minimum, but right after about an hour I got it to operate as an access point connected to my WPA2 wireless network. Only consider I need to have to verify is if it will last extended. For for now, it works actually fantastic. I had a handful of hiccups for the setup, but taking 1 hour of my time is not that negative considering the cost.

Bought as a Shell Shocker, so the price was right. No Complaints, run it with the very same SSID as my Qwest Router w/o any matters.Setup as a Bridge, took about ten minutes from box to running. Signal Strength doesn't appear very as robust as my Qwest 2Wire Router. Booted up on 192.168.11 Subnet

Cons: Bit tricky to get set up.

Pros: CHEAP $9.99 refurbished.
Comment:
Bought this as a replacement for a much more expensive linksys router. The price was right at $9.99 to take a chance and was not at all disappointed. This unit is really tiny and not really even as big as a DVD movie case. The antenna does not come off and the reset button is in the worst place ever ever ever (right on the corner you grab the unit by). It did not come with any software but Windows 7 was able to set it up and recognize it without problem. The set up was a bit more difficult, the web page interface is not as user friendly as a more expensive linksys model. I buggered with it for a bit and used my iPhone wireless to make sure it was locked from others (since their interface was a bit hard to decipher). Anyways, now that it's all set up I'm happy with it! I bought one for a friend at the same time and she is happy with it. This is a basic apartment wireless unit, I wouldn't run out and buy one for my house as the range isn't the best but for what I need it's great. Less than ten bucks is a great deal, over that price and I'd buy a linksys.

Affordable, rapid shipping & from Newegg.com I came from South East Asia so often people can't recognize me & I know this is my only weakness factor in life. But I never ever have such negative experience as this early morning at 1.35 AM when I known as their 24ǝ tech. assistance & talked with the guy has Southern voice. He had no concepts what he was undertaking beside screaming on the telephone by telling me unplug this or that then ALL the unitS are defected. He produced me named back twice but he couldn't get something performed beside his voice get louder & louder. Then he hung up on me when I told him I got the proof to show how negative he was treating me. HeY, I don't speak English as excellent as you are but I may know factors far better than you or your parents. I got every thing running right right after you hung up on me; it is so straightforward but you have no clue how to deal with it or you have no respect for none speaking English folks like me. This is the first time & will be the last time I would buy something created by BULLALO unless they treat customers with far more respect.

Low priceUncomplicated to setup Interface is clunky. No capacity to upgrade to DD-WRT.Limited range.Poor top quality. Began having problems with efficiency following about a week. I saw this router on the Shell Shocker deal and jumped at it. I have been making use of a Buffalo G router that has performed really well. I thought this was a deal I couldn't pass up.My initial impression of the device was positive. Setup was rapid and painless. The interface is a bit clunky, and settings are not organized in logical groupings, but it was not challenging to click about and complete the setup. I did notice that the range wasn't fantastic, but it was adequate for the size of our smallish house.Following just a few days, we started getting issues, and the complications kept finding worse. The router would maintain the devices connected to it, but we couldn't get on the world wide web. The router was also obtaining pretty hot. I ultimately just disconnected this router and went back to my old Buffalo G router.I guess I'll stick with my old router, and if I decide to upgrade to an N router, I'll go for a far more costly Buffalo device.

Works wonderful, very little, wonderful price and it is as stable as anything I have every single used. Have set up hundreds of wireless routers and this is no much more confusing than most. I did not use the software program, I employed the GUI. I like the multi naming for the radios. Only con is that I must have bought much more at the price that I paid. I would acquire it once more in a heart beat. Running Clear 4G more than it and it works fantastic.
