Appear fantastic for the cost, need to of spend focus to the a lot more then typical DOA's in the feed back. Would not read in Bios or cmos. Returned with the normal 2 week return and replacement. Replace fee and shipping new product back was free, so that was a pro.. Make magical leprechauns to speed up return delivery more rapidly.. had to order by thurs night to get it shipped Friday, otherwise id wait a single much more week for delivery.

Low-cost I bought five of these drives on one order. 3 failed when I initial tried to use them. 1 created noise and not observed by bios, second just not seen by bios, third had a broken sata connector. I have had very good luck with WD in the past. I think it was just a bad run of drives. Newegg was fantastic about taking the drives back for a refund.

Reliable and quiet. None but. I installed this drive into a pc-based video recording security process about 10 months ago. The personal computer records video information to the tough drive 24ǝ and fills up the tough drive in about 10 days. So just about every 10 days, I erase the hard drive and begin all more than. Been running non-quit ever given that its installation and I have yet to have a single issue with it. I wish all hard drives were this trustworthy.

Bought this for my aunt's all-in-1 HP computer when the original died since she didn't update the firmware Seagate sent her. She has had it for about a month and haven't heard any complaints. No news is great news. Only came in a anti-static sealed bag inside a Newegg.com box. Believed it could have been in a WD box inside a Newegg.com box, but it was undamaged, often a plus.

Function nicely, great excellent, Western Digital stands behind their item. I ordered three, two were good, 1 was DOA. I spent quite a although attempting to install it in a personal computer as a replacement prior to realizing the drive was the difficulty. I sent the drive back to Western Digital under warranty. Had to pay my personal shipping for a DOA (goodbye Egg!). Nonetheless, they did ship me back a 750 Gigabyte drive as a replacement, which was good. Every when in a though, a drive will be delivered poor from any business, unless they devote a lot of dollars relative to the manufacturing price to test them. But a shipping label with the RMA would have been good, WD!

Installed with ease on a new develop, loaded up WIN 7 64 bit and was fantastic to go. Purrs like a kitten. None. I have only utilized WD drives over the past eight years or so and have by no means really had any concerns. I'm a loyal customer.

I have constantly had very good luck with Western Digital drives and this 1 is now exception. Fantastic cost for a good drive. This drive is really really also. None I have this as my OS drive along with a matching 1TB for all my music and stuff. Only gets a five.9 in Windows 7 64bit WEI

Incredibly Low cost plus free of charge shipping. Ordered 2, 1 was DOA. As soon as I connected start out creating a clicking sound and then turn off. It was by no means detected by Windows. Reads AND writes data, like most tough drives. Hasn't had any problems yet. Not certain about the speeds but I feel it's a 7200 rpm difficult drive. Very quiet...reminds me of the Western Digital Caviar I owned 6 years ago in that respect. These are good drives, even though in all probability not the fastest. none MAKE Certain when you install windows that you set this drive to AHCI mode just before you go installing windows. Converting from IDE to AHCI mode doesn't usually perform. In most instances, you'll have to reinstall, and it makes reinstalling windows take a very, very extended time.

The only pros is that it lasted for virtually a year and is really quited This drive was operating fine with no noise till now. The drive just die on me soon after using for pretty much a year so it was good though it last it. Now Im going for a replacement from WD this drive carry 3 year limited warranty

"Green" tough drive, supposed to consume much less power none however operating robust 24ǝ in media center PC. Just bought a different to build one for a friend. My objective was to be silent and power effective. AMD 45W CPUGigabyte 785G MoBoGreen HD80+ PSUNMediaPC casequiet and cool.

Not DOA. Worked.Did not get hot Possibly it's just me, but the drives do seem somewhat slower than my normal black/blue editions. I'd go for the black or blue versions if I had to do it all more than once again.

I got this WD tough drive on time thanks to newegg's really quickly regular ups three day shipping. And when Igot the drive I put it in my hard drive enclosure I thanformatted the drive gave the drive a letter ect. and it'sbeen operating ever given that AUGUST. another grate itemfrom newegg and grate price and thanks alot. none that i know of.
