Ran for the last 3 years. never ever had an concern. worked just fine.... until yesterday.... Study the Cons it stopped operating. 120V is coming in to the PSU, but 12VǙVǛV are not coming out of the plugs...the led lights on the fans employed to blink for speedy second and turn off when the power switch on the PSU is turned on, but yesterday that did not occur...gotta get a new 1 now..

The lights are astonishing! the cables are nicely wrapped! Very easy to tie up!! I definitely Appreciate the fan manage! Prevents my setup from turning into a heater! lol. RIDICULOUSLY simple and easy to set up!! Marvelous for starters. Floppy cables? They're flooding my MID tower case... If I had a full tower I'm certain I wouldn't bother with a 520watt energy supply ... but seeing as this was created a although back, it's performing really good!!! If the organization ever decides to upgrade, make it so you can select which cables you want to use ... I imply, you don't desire various to help a mid tower, but dang, this point is like a giant octopus, I had to hide some of the cables in my spare optical :L I bought this as a replacement to a 420watt that blew out, so I wasn't anticipate significantly, then again this was a actually effective run for my dollars thinking about the aesthetics! Terrific decide to purchase! No wonder this was top rated rated!!

Decent amount of power, stays within a sensible tolerance as far as voltage (especially for a PSU with no PFC) even with the large single 12v rail, manual fan speed manage is a good touch to keep down noise, and above all else, this PSU has withstood the test of time going sturdy for well over three years. In fact, in the time I've owned this PSU I've gone by means of 2 additional as upgrades to get far more power for newer video cards, relegating this unit to a less power hungry machine. This PSU appears a bit dated, becoming produced at least because ཀ. The manual fan speed adjust has been replaced in newer PSUs with either a temperature sensitive automated manage, or a motherboard connector to control fan speeds with no possessing to reach behind the system. Also, the unit has no 6 pin PCIE connectors, even though the first video card I purchased it for came with an adapter to convert a 4 pin connector to serve that objective so it hasn't been an issue. It also lacks PFC and is reasonably inefficient by today's standards. All in all these are items that I would complain about with a newer, much more expensive unit, but I can't knock it too a lot just because it's an old style, specially at this price point. This PSU reliably powered my very first gaming construct: an Asus A8N-E, Athlon 64 3700+, 1gb of DDR400, a single 80gb tough drive, optical drive and a Radeon X850pro. Now, ӯ and a half years later it happily powers a C2D E6320, 2gb of DDR2 667, the very same HDD and optical drive, and a Geforce 8800GS (with that very same 4pin to 6 pin connector). This PSU may well be an older design, but if you don't mind putting up with it's flaws I'd say it's a quite stellar entry level PSU that makes up for it's lack of bells and whistles with very good, old fashioned reliability.

Worked out of the box and really ran a power hungry amd x2, three challenging drives, dvd burner, floppy two nvidia 6600 gt cards in sli mode as well as a kingwin water cooler (well at least for a couple of years). Good to have manual control of the fans and to have dual fans. annoying beeping sound on power up. Somewhat noisy. But the ultimate issue was a full failure soon after two years and 9 months of use. It just wore out. I possibly averaged about 8-ten hours of personal computer on time per day. A manufacturer might think that planned obsolescence will improve profits by generating parts that fail soon right after the producers warranty. That's a false economy given that most sensible persons will stay away from this manufacturer following such a catastrophic failure. I won't buy from them once again.

Effectively what can i say, It was low-cost and over 500watts. Fan control knob on the back is cool function. Plus three fans!! I thought it was kinda ugly searching. Bright blue lights with green cable sleeves. With all the unique colors in my case it looks like a bowl of fruit loops. Appears to be a solid PSU and is worth contemplating.

It failed following two years All round for what I paid its not that negative that it died after two years. I could have gotten one particular that had a 3yr warranty for the similar value. It's been nearly two years because I purchased this item for my property pc, and it's still running powerful. There have been no stutters, shorts, smoke, or flames triggered by this product. The knob to adjust the fan speed is a fantastic feature. However, I can no longer hide out from my close friends, neighbors, Witnesses, and salespeople mainly because of the volume of the item (this baby is LOUD). This isn't that considerably of a con to me as it is to my girlfriend due to the fact I typically put on a headset even though on this laptop. Not truly a pro or con to me, but the leds are specially vibrant. The 1st time I turned on my new develop I felt like Richard Dreyfuss in a Close Encounter... FYI

I bought this in ཁ, it failed these days. To be clear, this is 5 years of usage. Of these years this was off for perhaps 7 days in total. I did not turn off my personal computer in 2008. The home was dusty, dirty, and my workplace had bugs a handful of instances. This still ran fine. Low effectiveness

I first bought this power supply 9 months ago largely simply because of the three fans and the energy was a little far more than I necessary at the time following I upgraded my GPU at 1st I believed the energy provide was quite great did not really have any problems to start with but right after only four months it died on me so I bought another 1 thinking that it was a uncommon snafu in manufacturing the second one arrived and once more no problem at initially and then 4 months to the day it died as properly that is two power supplies in 8 months with my computer getting down 2 weeks every single time. The PSU going down once can be explained as a snafu in manufacturing but twice back to back is just shotty components a total piece of junk. I would not advocate this power supply to anybody Manufacturer Response:You can do an RMA by way of us for the energy provide to get an exchange on the PSU if you are nonetheless under our warranty period. Worked fine whilst it worked. soon after less than a year entirely stopped working. Im not one hundred% on this but i think it took my motherboard out. Fortunately i had a 3 year warranty on it, fantastic factor also simply because its a 货 board. Im going to rma the psu for a temporary backup if i need to have to test parts, im replacing this with a rosewell 600w, hopefully I wont have any a lot more complications. I bought a 8800gt for sli though my motherboard was getting rma'd. I would not recommend making use of this psu for sli/crossfire in any predicament, heck i wouldnt recommend this psu for a 1.0ghz single core with integrated graphics, DO NOT Acquire THIS Solution! YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU DO!

N/A It arrived DOA from Newegg. I was pretty stoked to get this and put it into my new technique but, I pulled it out of the package plugged it in and...absolutely nothing. I was dissapointed now I have to RMA it and spend to ship it back to newegg and then wait for them to process and send me a new one and I was seeking forward to finishing my develop and finding back in the game. Overall the PS looks awesome and would be a welcome additon to my case, but now I have a delay and added $ out of pocket just to get a operating unit. Effectively we shall see what happens with the RMA.

Have had this psu practically three years and it's nonetheless going sturdy. Has been operating Q6600, two dvd writers, 2G patriot 800mhz ram, ATI 1950 pro(agp), and 2 500G Seagate HD's for over a year now. (not seriously a con)The blue lights inside stopped working about 3 months ago but have tested psu with multimeter and all voltages are fantastic. I am fixing to upgrade soon and this psu won't handle the new voltages I need to have, nevertheless, I am only going to use this psu for my kid's puters. *I will/would purchase once again if need to have arises for this style psu.*

Has lots of cables? Runs systems? Does what it says it will do? Yup. Only has two SATA power connectors. Not adequate for a present day construct.Didn't operate at first. Had to clean it before it would work. Seemed as if there was hot glue inside of it that had broken off and was causing issues. After blowing it out, it worked fine. Apevia wants to concentrate on QA a bit more if this is the typical for them. I shouldn't have to repair a screwup in their manufacturing procedure before their item will perform.

It's got green stuff, and Newegg got it right here faster than a fat kid on cake. Ordered this to install in the Raidmax Smilidon (Black) thinking the green would complement/coordinate well. I had only 2 drives: DVD & HDD. There are only two SATA connectors (as is true in the listed specs), but they are like...two inches apart. DVD in bottom slot & HDD in best slot...nonetheless about 1 inch as well brief. If you require SATA look elsewhere. Apevia wants to update this color-scheme to consist of far more SATA...amongst other issues.

Really awsome power provide, fan speed is great and the lights look excellent but not as well bright. Began making some wierd noises immediately after a while, so i just blew it out genuinely excellent with a can of air and dilemma fixed. It has so quite a few fans and openings on it that dust seems to get up in it a little worse than usual. The noises can get genuinely annoying if it starts carrying out it at 5am and you are trying to sleep in the very same area.

I contacted the manufacturer and explained what the deal was. They stated that the older versions of the PSU did have some faults and as such, they shipped me a new 1, even though my warranty had expired. I installed it final night and it's working fine. I'll write a follow up right after a couple of months. none at this time

I have had this due to the fact Jan of 2006 and its nevertheless going strong! Now its powering a OC'd Q6600 and a 260 GTX with no a stutter. 12vᤣ ampsSleeved cablesblue LED looks sweetthree fans Had to use adapters for the 2x6pin PCI power plugs on the video card, and the new mobo has a 8pin connector, whereas the psu has a 4 pin (you can nonetheless use the 4pin with no an adapter. So its slightly dated on the ATX specifications. A little loud on complete blast, but the fan controller can fix that. I highly advise this energy provide to price range builders or enthusiast, only I doubt this could power any point like a i7 or a high finish SLI setup.

Fan controller is a great feature and I have it turned way down. This unit is now powering my HTPC and is whisper quiet (my wife can't stand the fan noise).
