Price tag is number one, it is a great value for the power it puts out. Quite noisy at max fan speed. No energy connector for 8800 video card, had to use an adapter (this is minor although). greater to retain the fan speed at 50% or 75% unless you genuinely want to, it'll preserve you up at nights if you do not. I find about 50% is sufficient to awesome it and hold it from acquiring hot.

Excellent supply, quiet fan, sleek appear. Has a vibrant LED light. Fantastic supply for the cash, would definatley reccomend. The only con I identified is that it had to be mounted upside down, which to me sounded just wierd at initial, but hey whatever functions ideal? I purchased an Apevia case, and this power supply looks great in this case.

This Power Provide has been running for just about five years now and went from a 754 socket AMD process to a AM2 Process 2 years ago. If you are making a Mid Range Method this is the one particular to get, for positive. Looks and is properly built. Powering two Optical Drives, 1 sata Hard Drive, Radeon HD 2600, Athlon 64x2 Am2, 4 Sticks DDR2-800, Floppy Drive, all on a Gigabyte GA-MA770 DS3 Motherboard incredibly effectively. Gotta be the Very best PS from Apevia. Low Tech Level people today like this guy "Died in less than four years" Nothing lasts forever, and in the next couple of months when I upgrade I'll be getting one more 1 simply simply because of it's age being 5 years old. Dude, if you didn't want lights, why did you obtain it. If you didn't want noise, why did you obtain this a single that has 3 fans. If you wanted sata connectors why obtain back then. Most of all why didn't you invest in a 20 buck Power Supply tester and test it just before spending cash on a new motherboard. Thats the initially thing I would have done. The tester would come in handy in the future too. I have a digital Apevia Tester which operates good and has saved lots of income testing other family members members systems. I have kept the fan handle at threeǚ of the way all the time and I believe this is a big purpose its lasted so lengthy. Noise doesn't bother me. Use to reside on an Aircraft Carrier proper above the Jet Engine shop exactly where they would test Jet engines at all types of hours on the Fantail, speak about noise, I'd sleep through it like a baby.

Wonderful energy supply!! Obtaining 3 fans is extremely good, and my technique is undoubtedly running cooler now. Possessing the fan adjustment dial on the back of the ps is also a good feature. Got it turned up a small far more than halfway, and I can barely hear the fans. Didn't have an extension/attachment to run power to my situation fan. No biggie though, as I currently had a single from my old ps that crapped out on me.

purchased this late 05 simply because yet another psu junked out and I needed anything with a tiny power a low-cost... Just nowadays I actually realized that this factor has been operating 24ǝ ever given that and has out-lasted pretty much every single other component of my program. proper now its powering two hdds in raid0 with 2 8800gtx video cards in sli and a amd x2 6000+ cpu. going to be pitting it against a gtx260 or two extremely soon... non truly.. when the fans are turned all the way up its a small on the noisy side.. but if you want a quiet machine the speed adjustment knob operates wonderfully. don't truly have substantially else to say other than this really has surprised me. I was just seeking by means of my order history on newegg to appear up the exact specs to see if it would hold up to the video card upgrade and was shocked at how long its lasted with out even a hiccup.

Operates just fine for me. I required a easy Power Supply upgrade from a 400 watt (Gaming technique), and this power provide seems to operate fine. Looks cool, good blue lights fairly quiet, adj fan Nice Cables, Long cables also. Cons: It burned up at 111 mouth and 28 days. New Egg repaired or replaced it. Then two mouths later burned up once again. New Egg stated warranty is up. So I purchased a 650 watt BFG. Runs excellent so far. You get what you paid for. Plus verify the warrantys. BFG life time. Most others are 30 to 90 days. Or pay further for New Egg 1 or two yr's but it will expense additional.

I bought this in the summer time of 2005, and it has been running continuously ever given that. Each other component in my computer system has been replaced considering that then (most far more than once) but this PSU is still in there and going robust. Also small power for current leading of the line video cards (GTX 280, etc). This may possibly pose a dilemma going forward if power consumption continues to enhance in CPUs and GPUs. This energy supply turned out to be a really excellent trustworthy energy provide for a resonable price tag.

None! Took this "beauty" out of the box and was set to go. Looked great, heavy durable really feel. But the feel can be decieving. Installed the PSU into my method and on energy up, BAM! a capasitor blew and fried my mainboard and video card. I ended up going to town and getting a cheapie PSU and integrated mainboard to get me up and running as I use my method for operate. I didnt'n get about to the warranty situation till immediately after the Newegg 30 days was past. I referred to as the manufacturer and they agreed to replace the PSU if I would send them the price of shipping. NO they wouldn't spend for the damage to my system. I threw the PSU in the trash!! Go Thermaltake and Coolermaster. You rock.

looks sweet. blue fan for my case. easily taken apart to harvest fans. Sucks. had it for a few days, then 1 day hit the energy button on my computer system, started up for 1ǘ a second and died. had an old antec 480w i got at a garage sale and that worked, so the psu sucks. this occurred a half year ago... didnt bother replacing. took the fans out (you in no way know when you want a fan) and threw the blue a single in an empty fan port on my case. I now just payed โ+ for an awesome two pin led fan. Entirely worth it. i did, nonetheless, just order a 650 watt psu created by aspire. The price was just as well fantastic (ษ) and so we shall see how this turns out...

Worked good when I first got it, plenty of connections and cables lengthy sufficient... Bought this in April of 2006 and just started noticing the cpu voltage dropping much less than what the settings are. (About .four-.eight voltage dfference) Pretty confident the psu is on its way out. The fans are also ridiculously noisy - figured would keep it cooler but the noise is just too significantly.

I ordered two of these power supplies, I tested both when they arrived and all the voltages and currents had been as specified. The case of the PSU's are very solid and it looks nicely built overall, but on the downside it's heavy. There had been tons and tons of connectors, nearly all are the 4-pin molex connectors, with two sata connectors. Also, every bundle of cables is wrapped with the green material, not just the big 24-pin bundle. It's a little heavy and I don't realize why they employed a blue LED's and green cables, why not each green or both blue? Fans are a tiny loud when they are turned up, it's not a silent PSU by any means. But, on the plus side, you can turn them down while I possibly won't. Every thing is operating out great, the fan controller functions but I'll most most likely maintain it maxed simply because high temps = shorter life span. All of the cables are pretty lengthy, I had no troubles reaching anything inside my case. I believed the additional length would make the cabling messier but it really gave me far more flexibilty to tuck the cables away in unique locations.

I have used this unit for 2 years now and have brought this overseas with me as I have moved. I forgot to change the voltage input settings from 110 to 220...But because there was a fuse I was able to get it back up and operating quick as opposed to having to purchase an additional unit. Cables want to go in upside down; hdd don't like that. Uncomplicated turning and it works. Our computer teacher right here had completed the same challenge except it took her entire system with it. This product only took out a small Ū~ish element and has continued to function several days running now.

Thing has lasted forever. With high use (computer getting on for 12+ hours a day), in four.five years it's nonetheless running. Just noticed even though that the rear exhaust fan has ceased to exist. Time for a new obtain. Did go through two different sets of computer components, and although they weren't completely high end, it did take a beating and for a low-cost psu, it was worth it. Other than the rear fan going out, but that was after four.5 years. Its quite loud too, can't wait to get a new PSU that has much less noise so I don't have to preserve my speakers turned up so loud to hear more than it. Now even though you can get a good quality PSU on sale for as low cost as this one. I wouldn't advise getting this model any longer mainly because costs have dropped for other huge names, but it definitely stood the test of time.

Appears to run the following fairly nicely:FX-55 Socket 939250GB HDDnVidia 9600GTDVD-R/WCD-R/W1-120mm Fan2-80mm Fans READ: This PSU IS NOT a single rail. It has two იv rails running at 18amps each. The specs are incorrect and require to be adjusted on Newegg. With the 9600GT's minimal requirement of 26amps on the იv rail, I was worried that this PSU could/may not run the video card adequately. Following installing and tweaking the 9600GT I've gotten great performance and I'm pleased.Time will tell if the PSU lasts. I hope it does.

This energy supply has lasted me three years, so it is carrying out something proper. It isn't modular. That, for me, takes away that last egg. When building a machine, modular psus just add that added bit of convienance. If you can't afford a comparable modular unit, this is a great get.

Bought on Newegg in 2006, it nonetheless works like new. I've run this energy supply for months at a time, and it just smiles and keeps on coming. It handled high-finish gaming fine for me. Powerful and economical, it's a great PS for a initial time builder, searching for a small a lot more kick than baseline. Don't use it any longer :( ,no cons A small noisy if you turn the fan controller on the back all the way up. I got away with leaving the fan speed on minimum, then it's quiet. Have fun with it !
