Pretty straightforward to install if you read the directions meticulously Didn't really decrease temps by all that considerably I believe I would have got superior temps from a fan answer. This may possibly be noiseless, but I think lower temps are worth some fan noise.

definitely silent, cut temperatures in half, really cool. barely fits in my case, the factor is twice as major as the card itself 񢵲)if you have more than one card, make sure this is the bottom card since you cant put a bridge by way of the thing without cutting by means of 1 of the rail things, i haven't tried bending it however though so that may possibly perform.i had a very tough time getting the screws in the back, i had to peel back the adhesive in between the spaces prior to i could get the screws to reach, no one else has stated anything about it so either the cooler was bent a small bit or the card had something funny about it. this is truly meant for people today with a single GPU card, if you have two cards you cant actually use two of them, so i took a star for that, other than that it reduces temperatures considerably and has zero noise

Productive cooling for ATI HD3870, quiet, profile is low adequate to not interfere with other cards in system. They include a vented expansion slot cover for the slot above your video card. However for the style of mac pros, this fits, but doesn't stay in. Wish I'd gotten this sooner. The default card that came with the ATI HD3870 was way too loud!

This is a decent cooler it kept my temps about 10*F less than standard. I was hoping for a far more dramatic reduction in the temps.

The reference 8800񵈸GT cards in my boxes run warmish at 65-72C with peaks at 75C depending on ambient. When they run F@H, this isn't a cool environment for 24ǝ GPU perform. The Akimbo cooled 8800GT was topping at 65C most the time. Had to do something and I dislike all the fan noise. Install was simple as per the directions and reading the reviews here helped clue me in. With an ambient temp of 75F, idle temp now is 36C where before it was 43C. Got it Folding and temp is steady at 53C...Extraordinary!!! The voltage regulator heat sinks weren't adequate in size for this 9800GT reference card. Due to the layout on the lower VR, I wound up getting to cut 1 heat sink in half. No large deal but wish these had more surface location to cover a range of placements. Going to get an additional one for the Akimbo card and then the program will be considerably quieter. Nonetheless plenty of heat from the video cards but at least they aren't operating in the greater temperature range.Outstanding cooler! :)

Enormous. The large fins will possibly dwarf your video card--perfect for adding surface region and maximizing heat dissipation. You can get rid of the mounting screw assembly so that you just have the bare heatpipes and surface to function with. This will enable you to apply the heatsink to unsupported video cards, but you will need to affix the Accelero with thermal epoxy and use the supplied brackets to aid support the weight of the heatsink if you don't use the screw mountings. Like every person says, the thermal adhesive stuck on the RAM heatsinks is garbage. Buy some GooGone, soak the adhesive in it, and take it off. Use some dish detergent to degrease the heatsinks so they are entirely clean, then let them dry and apply Arctic Alumina thermal epoxy. I had to use a razor blade to absolutely get the adhesive off. But soon after cleaning them and applying the thermal epoxy, they aren't going anywhere. Also, the silly plastic piece around Like everyone else has mentioned beneath, you should take your time and thoroughly clean your GPU, VRAM, and voltage chips appropriately. Get some GooGone (available at Kmart, etc) to dissolve the old thermal compunds and usually clean every single surface. Then rinse them with some incredibly soapy water (I utilized common Dawn dish-soap in extremely heavy concentration with water). Then use some pure water to remove all traces of soap. Be as neat and clean as doable with these liquids. I applied them with Q-suggestions. Repeat this process until each chip is immaculate. Mix up your epoxy in smaller batches and apply a few RAM or voltage heatsinks at a time. When they have set for a though, apply the major heatsink to the GPU. Let sit overnight so the epoxy can remedy. Get pleasure from your new silent card.Don't forget to observer appropriate Electrostatic safety procedures so you don't zap your card!

Good cooling if you add the dual fan sleeve fan modules - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186021 It is a large GPU heatsink. Be positive to have a wide enough case. I utilized this on a stock ATI 4870. With stock cooler it ran avg 80 degrees. I located difficulties with this fanless cooler keeping the 4870 cool for extended game play so I added the dual fan sleeve module. With this cooler and the dual fan model the GPU never goes above 66 degrees.

Exceptional cooling performance.GPU: Sapphire 4670Stock cooler: 38C idle, 75C loadAccelero S1: 31C idle, 42C load (passive)Great price for a large cooler capable of passive cooling. When you get the mounting figured out, it's quite secure and doesn't flex or move around. Mounting technique is quite tricky. Had to make modifications and a number of trial fits to get points correct:-The plastic spacers that the instructions say to put between the bracket and PCB kept the base plate off the surface of the GPU. Had to remove them, and move the rubber bumpers from the original cooler underneath the mounting bracket feet.-One of the feet of the mounting bracket interfered with a clock crystal on the GPU PCB. I had to grind down that portion of the mounting bracket with my dremel for it to clear.-VRM heat sinks didn't really fit the VRM ICs in any reasonable way. Ended up not using them-Sticky tape mounting for RAM/VRM heat sinks is iffy.-May well have clearance issues in low-profile circumstances. In my mid-tower case, I ended up with about 1ǘ" of clearance between the end of the heat sink and the side panel. Pulled all the plastic parts of the cooler. I required all the clearance I could get for this to fit in my case. Removing them exposed even more surface of the cooling fins, so it also helped a bit there.Went straight to using some thermal epoxy to mount the RAM sinks, rather than messing about with the included sticky tape. The mounting system for this cooler is fairly generic, so even if compatability is listed on AC's website, you may well still have headaches acquiring points mounted. Go slowly, and continually check clearances and the interface in between the GPU and HS base to make sure very good contact is being created. Watch out for the mounting bracket interefering with or contacting other components on the GPU's PCB.

Silent!Keeps the CPU cool Worthless adhesive on the RAM coolers, like every person says I put it on the Radeon X1900 in my old MacPro, and it cut the noise level from nearly unbearable to quite quiet. It's big, but fits fine in the MacPro 񢉖 version).Dealing with the RAM coolers virtually doubled the installation time, because they kept falling off. I finally got them to stay with the original adhesive (basically really thin double stick tape), but it worries me and I may try one thing more permanent as a lot of other suggest if there's any difficulty.

The Enormous cooler works incredibly well, specially when you have the two fans attached (sold seperately). The HD 3870 stays about 37c, 47c below heavy testing Throw away the RAM heatsinks! They will trigger your RAM to overheat and you can't OC them anymore. I even utilised thermal epoxy to get a much better bond, nonetheless didn't support. THROW THEM AWAY I tried to get the epoxied RAM heatsinks off my 7900GS and onr of the chips broke off. I got an ATI HD 3870 and the GPU cooler works good on that too.

reduces sound to zero, not quite expensive. comes with a vented bracket for the subsequent slot in your case somewhat challenging to install, build good quality? this was the best dollars i've spent on my program so far. as far as bang for the buck goes. i had a 9600gt with the stock cooler that was unbearably loud that made utilizing the laptop or computer a chore. i could hear the personal computer operating from 30ft away. this keeps temps low and seems very efficient.

Works pretty good on my 8800GT. Also have the turbo module hooked up to it. Lowered idle temps to mid 40C, after gaming for hour or two it in no way goes above 60C. Installation was straightforward, could be little much more clearer though, but still straightforward. Just follow them and you'll be superior I guess maybe that it is kinda massive, but when putting it on a card the size of an 8800 length isn't an issue, just width. It is pretty close to the side of my case but nonetheless got the side on. Does use up the expansion below the card so i had to lose my television tuner. Bought the turbo module but was worried they could not fit as my sound card would be the subsequent in line, luckely the sound card isn't a full sized card or i would have no room for the added fans. Could be superior though but i have it in a clustered micro case with just an 80mm exhaust and cpu fan so the air circulation is pretty poor i'd picture. But if you have a larger case that isn't clusterd i'm certain outcomes would be little greater as some other reviews.

Affordable, really helpful. Wide spacing between fins enables for greater airflow. Slapped 2 120mm fans on it. Brought my 4870's temperatures from 47idleኻload to 32 idle and about 47 load. Under furmark, at the incredibly highest it got to 60, as opposed to 105 with the stock heatsink. It's also now whisper quiet, instead of a vacuum. With a cooler graphics card with proper case flow, you could run passive pretty well. only 4 heatpipes, rough finish on the heatsink base. Extremely quite huge. If you have a newer graphics card, IE, HD38xx, 48xx, 58xx, etc etc, MAKE Confident you have a decent heatsink and airflow on the VRM's! A lot of people have had troubles with this heatisnk simply because they didn't have correct cooling on the VRM's. On a video card that puts off this much heat, VRM cooling is a Should, and don't attempt it in passive. It just won't fairly cut it.

Removed the stock cooler from my Sapphire x1600xt which became noisy immediately after 3 years of use. Idle temp dropped from 84c to 41c and load from 128c to 55c. Uncomplicated installation. Can't tell if my pc is running without looking at it now that it is so silent ;o) I would advise this to anyone.

On a Radeon 4850Idle temps dropped by 30C, and load temps dropped by 50C!This is with only the aid of a slot exhaust cooler. Biggest cooling performance improve I've ever noticed in my life, or for the last 10 years I've been dabbling in pcs. Ran into a couple of issues installing on my 4850, most likely due to the cooler getting a universal design.1-One ramsink had to be bent up, or cut up in order to clear the heatpipe (the ram chip closest to the pci-e edgeƜ-The ramsinks stuck effectively for me, in contrast to other people. But the VRM sinks 1 did not stick properly. I ended up cutting the vrm section off my stock cooler, thats when I realized all VRM chips had been generating poor get in touch with with the vrm sinks supplied in this kit (no chip left a total square imprint in the adhesive, all were missing edges or corners). The poor VRM cooling overall performance was causing phantom stability problems, specially at overclocked speeds. This is a massive deal, due to the fact this cooler is good enough to keep temps considerably lower than stock even at overclocked speeds.I got my ramsinks to stick properly by cleaning them w/ a pencil eraser per directions. I've went more than the chips numerous times with eraser and rubbing alcohol. The last coat was eraser (alcohol leaves some residue, but dissolves thermal pad residue properly). And cleaned off eraser shavings with canned air. Don't stick ram sinks on until the chips have a matte finish, and you can effortlessly read the text on them.

Replaced my apocalyptically loud 9600 GT dual-slot blower with this beauty. With the S1 Rev 2 installed my 9600 GT now idles ࿇C) at the very same temperature as the OEM cooler and under full load is two to three degrees cooler (now 56C vs 58C to 59C) with the added benefit of being completely silent! The pre-applied MX-two TIM also appears to be great considering that I originally had AS-5 coupled with the OEM cooler that only decreased idle temperatures by one degree under few weeks of heavy use. But now it idles the identical without the aid of any airflow outside of my intake fan. Says a lot for the MX-2 compound.Looks terrific (after removing black plastic shrouds) and price is challenging to beat. RAM sinks and voltage regulator sinks can be a bit finicky if much less than optimal pressure is applied. Make positive you apply a lot of pressure when seating the heat sinks for the VRAM and voltage regulators or else they will be prone to fall off (which happened to me). Be positive to check on them a few times immediately after installing.Installation on the 9600 GT itself can be a bit tricky and require some agility. The cooler just barely fits and is incredibly close to the bracket. The cooler and card combined will not take up more than two slots if used fanless. Wonderful if you program CrossfireX or SLi setups with lower finish cards.

Straightforward installation for any of the supported cards. I am all thumbs and have only taken out my video card as soon as (when I had to replace it two years ago), have never completed any serious computer system function, and usually am an imbecile when it comes to PC hardware. Following I figured out how to get the stock fan off my nvidia geforce 6800, I had this thing installed in 30 mins.I believe this cooler is also reusable, you just have to stick it in the freezer with your card and pry it off. Such a great investment! I wish I had this card years ago. Major! Could not be able to close your case. I can only crank my 5-year-old Geforce 6800 card up to 115 mhz overclocked before the factor craps out, but the temps do not get anywhere near where the stock cooling fan was. My stock cooler ran fallout 3 on low settings at about 72c immediately after an hour or so. This factor runs Fallout 3 although overclocked at > 100mhz on very high settings at about 54c. Totally worth the investment.

Awesome cooling performance, reasonable price. I installed it on a HD4890, and I get 32-33C idle, and 42-46C under load at the core and memory sensors. Hard to install. The directions make no sense. I feel they had been translated from German, into Mandarin, and then into English. The pictures are even worse. I found a video walkthrough on the internet and followed that.Like others have mentioned, the sticky on the heatsinks is lousy, and the thermal paste it comes with isn't wonderful either. Also, the last memory heatsink doesn't fit under the heatpipe, so I had to bend it flat to make it stick. Obtain it with some of your own mx-two, buy some thermal epoxy for the heatsinks, clean every thing seriously nicely and then install it. The cooling performance will be worth it.

Incredible. employed this to replace the stock cooler on my HIS 4850, which was super loud. idle/load temps were 51cኧ-85c at 60% fanspeed which was very loud. After adding the S1 along with a 120mm rosewill case fan, im sitting comfortably at 29cኁ-42c..with NO NOISE! amazing. none that i can think of. however, even tho this is the newest model, the instructions seemed to be for the older model. no biggie tho. on the stock cooler i wouldve never even considered overclocking..the noise from the fan alone was wayyy too significantly. with the s1 and 120mm fan, i def see some overclocking comin soon lol

right after 1 year of quite heavy use, this cooler keeps my overclocked 8800gt silent and considerably colder than i thought possible. the gpu nearly by no means tops 55 degrees where it utilized to hit 75, and idles at around 41c. will only hit 70 degrees now running atitool artifact scan until the temp plateaus, but in games it will never reach that temp. i don't even have a fan on it, just case fans. i had to reapply an adhesive to the ram sinks, but no huge deal. it is accurate that the ramsinks are not as sticky as they should be, but part of this can be user error, and also i had 1 fall off and the card ran fine for around a month and i in no way noticed. not sufficient to take away an egg. i would automatically get this for any new graphics card it would function on.
