The board seemed perfect for the cost for a enterprise kind rig and had some great extras which i liked the board came out poor, i tend to be paranoid and truly thought it was something I did incorrect so i kept altering about stuff attempting out three diverse energy supplies among other factors, in the finish it was the board the only challenge, i bought a distinct AMD x2 board and am running fine. i will be incredibly weary of shopping for from this manufacturer once more it looked like a toy the box and the truth that it never did anything DOA, the 1st time its ever occurred to me, possibly i was just unlucky i cannot say.

Booted correct up. Bios is good with lots of overclocking and tweaking possibilities. Instant boot is neat - when you shutdown, it reboots to a clean desktop, then saves the state to either ram or disk for 4 or eight second boot occasions. Only functions effectively if machine is set to auto-login even though. None genuinely. The OC windows utility is neat, but I just set the bios to an easy 10% overclock ྯ% won't boot this low-cost Athalon unless I raise voltages).

It ran XP OK. It has slots for two types of RAM. It was supposed to have a flash BIOS. It was supposed to host Win7. It was supposed to host DDR3-1600. It was supposed to support RAID ten. It was supposed to be a sturdy small workhorse, with plenty of possibilities. It was not. In fact it did very tiny. If you want a excellent inexpensive, backwards (circa 2007) XP board, this is it. Limited to a -95watt AM3 chip (many are 125watt). Will not recognize GSkill DDR3 - the purpose why I purchased this board. Puny @ overclocking, it shuts down at 10% OC. For what it advertises and what it delivers, I got abused and robbed.Worst, this board has been a tremendous aggravation from the git-go. Whatever income I may possibly have saved has gone into purchasing parts that work on this board. What ever time it could have provided to conserve me on setup has been devoured by updates, blue screens, re-installs and reconfigurations. Did you ever buy something that looked too great to be true? This would be it. At times I can spec out a excellent board, From time to time, rarer these days, I get burned. As a total burn, this would be it.My wife came by, asked me to connect her wireless net card. I growled that I'm busy trying to memorize five and seven letter designations for hardware and driver updates for this mobo. I'm probably tech-head enough to devote a weekend to solving this. But I do fully grasp why most of the civilized world despises Microsoft. My brain hurts.

Effortless hookup, standard simple Asrock set up. By no means a DOA However. BIOS DOES NOT Support AHCI SATA Mode!! Under no circumstances dreamed a board that supports DDR3 wouldn't assistance AHCI. Continuous Bluescreens till I reinstalled windows. Win7 had been installed (With HOURS of plan installs) on a distinct board. But no AHCI to be had right here.....should've checked it further. Attempted registry changes on drive but no avail.:(

- Each DDR2 and DDR3 memory supported- Floppy, PATA, and SATA connectors- AM2, AM2+ and AM3 supported - Restricted Bios options, not all that nicely explained- CPU fan speed is total-on (loud) unless you have a 4-wire fan. This board is just Good if you're like me and have many systems to support. I have 5ea desktops that I manage/repair/upgrade. When a thing on one particular laptop or computer goes out, I can use a variety of components in this one particular. I am really disappointed it doesn't handle the fan speed like my ATI chipset permitted me to do with a three-wire fan.

Affordable. Advertised to use DDR2 and DDR3 RAM. Supposed to bridge the gap in between DDR2 and DDR3. Persistently and perversely incompatible with just about anything I already have. It will work if you keep trying, sort of.Two stars simply because, nicely, it functions, sort of. Won't assistance a lot of AMD chips. Won't help DDR3 with an AM2+ chip. Won't assistance 125 watt chips. Won't support multi drives in RAID configurations. Says it will, but it's not happening for me. Problem, clearly stated is this; It won't save you any cash unless you go WAY back to 533mg RAM. The price in frustration and disappointment -- not to mention hair loss -- would be equal to the analysis and power you'd place into a ū,000 gaming rig on the bleeding edge.Hands down the worst board I have ever dealt with. This will mark the fifth tear down and re-shuffle of elements. HOW Extended O'LORD!!! In all, this is the most disappointing MB I've ever bought. I ultimately got it to peep Right after I uninstalled all the new stuff I purchased for an experimental 2ቦK Raptors + 1ǝ.2K, RAID tenDon't acquire this if you don't have specifically -- DO NOT feel the marketing -- what it says. Oh, yeah, it wont say something till you get way, way into the set up Then on page six of the manual, cautions Ţ,5,6,7 spell out that it won't function. That is, unless you are prepared to risk the complete rig on a BIOS upgrade (which, of course, they discourage)

Rapid shipping, Thanks Newegg. Set up was uncomplicated. Cost was good. Functions perfectly, Old CPU and Heatsink fit well. Very versatile, presently operating a plain AM2 Athalon 64, upgradable to an AM3 for later. Drivers disk, with numerous nice utilities. Just two memory Slots obtainable, but I knew that before I purchased it. Post is insanely rapidly...LOL. Only giving 4 eggs, due to the fact it is still new to me, we will see how it performs out

I purchased this for a personal computer program for my son's b-day, and had to wait over a month for the day he recieved it. Nevertheless waiting on the manufacturer to get back to me. This was used in a price range create, but soon after such an easy set up, ASrock got a new fan.Bios was one of the most simplest, and nice layouts I have ever used.Board doesn't really feel cheap, and even looks like they place thought into the layout. What I truly like is there is a TON of alternatives for upgrades... actually impressed, needless to say.Site is uncomplicated to discover, and updated regualry, great contemplating you want the lastest drivers etc. None so far.

The board has a lot of features, becoming versatile amongst the AM2Ǚ and DDR2Ǚ transition. It can unlock/overclock in seconds, and has a number of items built in such as video, audio, NIC, all for this low-cost, which tends to make it a good board for growing on, or a wonderful spending budget builder. Doesn't assistance DDR2Ǚ at the identical time? I understood that effectively purchasing this board, and to me, even 8gbs is plenty for substantially you would almost certainly program on undertaking with this board, so it's seriously no massive deal. It makes a great base to a spending budget create. Has wonderful characteristics found on considerably more high priced boards, and incorporates onboard video/audio/NIC which if you're gearing for a affordable, mess around Computer you get all of that in 1 package and keeps your price down. This board unlocked my Sempron 140 to a Athlon X2 in no time. Then it helped me overclock both cores from two.7 Ghz to 3.two Ghz. I'm also operating DDR3 1600 RAM at complete speed. HD audio, onboard video is not quite good. If you mess up the overclocking, it will boot you out of BIOS with a lame laptop or computer. You then have to shut down, flip the CMOS reset jumper hit power, flip it back and start all over. If you mess up the overclocking, it will boot you out of BIOS with a lame computer system. You then have to shut down, flip the CMOS reset jumper hit power, flip it back and start all more than.I went by 5% increments till I located the last value where the computer would boot. For me it was 20% overclock (the board enables you to decide on up to 40%)This was a extended and laborious procedure. It took me about 4 hours to tweak the processor, RAM and PCI-e but it was SO worth it. I now have a ~蹢 comp for only ~跌. That's like receiving paid ี/hour in the income I saved.

Extremely nice motherboard, fantastic when converting from an old personal computer to a a lot more recent one given that it will allow you to maintain your old DDR2 memory and then upgrade to DDR3 without getting to alter your motherboard. Ordered four, had 2 DOAs. Ordered 2 replacement motherboards, had 1 DOA. Hopefully this time, I won't have half of a DOA. ;P

In a position to run EITHER DDR2 or DDR3Really good bios for such a affordable chipset.Plays nice with Sempron 140 and 4GB G-Skill DDR3 Older generation chipset to maintain cost down.Did not unlock my Sempron 140 (could just be a chip that is extremely unstable at any other setting than stock)Not confident what to blame but my 1333MHz memory was defaulted to 800MHz in bios and was unstable at anything more than 1066.Onboard graphics suffer a bit and I only get 3.three wei for graphics in W7 x64, therefore only 4 eggs. General, I'm pleased and so is the owner who plays browser games and surfs the internet. I built an whole AM3 method for 赼 shipped thanks to these affordable components. That's 200 much less than acquiring a low-cost Emachines at Walmart that doesn't have as many features. As generally, ultra fast shipping from Newegg!

- Low cost- Compatible with your antique DDR2 RAMs and AM2 processors - No GbE- The path of the fan mount is distinct from any other board I've had. My Arctic Cooling Freezer is now blowing up/down instead of front to back toward the rear exhaust. Idle temperature rose by nearly 10 degrees Celcius!! Or maybe it's the leftover thermal paste I've been working with...- Not specifically a high performance board but shouldn't be a difficulty if you're just working with it to preserve your old elements operating. Not genuinely a extremely fantastic board overall. But adequate for its objective. My AM2 board just died and brought down the graphics card with it on an old method I've been using as a little server. Won't say I'm surprised mainly because I've seen stuff oozing out of the caps for a whilst. But this is a incredibly untimely demise considering that I was planning to upgrade to bulldozer when it come out. This board should last me thru April. Those with a additional current processor are probably much better off with a devoted AM3 board rather.

฽ bucks with shipping included. additional than enough sata for me. mine came with a free frisbey ( see cons) maybe youl get [un]lucky also. very polished story....wait thats a con, I wanted highly polished actual points. about the onboard video chip, it says max 256 MB shared memory...dont seriously know what that suggests, cuz i got 512MB out of it....i believed 256 max shared meant, that by making use of system ram, i would be in a position to get 256 MB video ram....guess i was incorrect....that was the only unexpected Very good factor about this board. The CD this issue came with has absolutely absolutely nothing on it...no drivers, and not the cost-free sound blaster trial. tried it in 3 computers, inluding my own, with the cd player, and dvd player, absolutely nothing, so its a frisbey now! (my dog loves it) in order to get the drivers i had to update windows xp to SP3 ahead of i could download from the internet site for some reason, the file DL kept stopping at like 30%, so that was annoying...immediately after installing files every little thing worked BUT the Hdeck.exe file that pops up everytime you boot afterwards is annoying, but its only an audio editing system, i just deleted it (with no harm to my audio drivers, so dont be worried) I did a assessment already, and as i mentioned the tech assistance is horrible, i think they only have 1 guy. but right after i got anything going, the Motherboard itself is alright. the board itself i would rate at a full five, but the firm its attached to brings it down, i rate them at a two....maybe. If you go to the asrock web-site and watch the "instant boot video", youl see that its no where close to the three-four seconds they boast, and at the point exactly where they contact it "booted" its nevertheless not usable for an additional ten seconds...and their boot isnt from off, its from hibernated. (thats the very polished story i refered to earlier), its a straight up lie, but I blame the organization for that, leaving the board itself with still a complete 5. as far as real boot goes, its genuinely slow...my old ASUS p4p800-VM boots in half the time. ( in my thoughts its the only issue incorrect with the board itself.) If you dont thoughts possibly undertaking the driver installs from the web site, and dont contact client support anyway, and also dont inicipate the advertised boot instances....youl be quite happy with this board, its plenty worth the money, i just expected far more, and didnt get it....so im mad about that

Getting this so my dad can use my 555, replacing my 555 with a 820. To the guy below that says his ram will "only" run at 蟰 MHz" That's exactly the rating of the ram you bought. DDR3 1600 = 800. 1333 = 667, 2133 = 1066, 2200 = 1100.. and so forth, etc.. I recommend reading just before speaking. Oh, and no cons as I don't have this board however. But I'm sure it will be adequate for my desires and stable. I've had some trouble with ASrock merchandise (quality manage, often you get a dud) but that's the run of the mill with pretty a lot all Chinese products, isn't it? I've had a good run with Newegg more than the past 2 years. Thanks newegg.

I got to say it is difficult to beat this board for it's value. I built a fairly very good machine with it for just over 跌 using the following components.LOGISYS Pc PS550E12 550W ATX12V Energy SupplyA-Information Gaming Series 4GB ƒ x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 AMD Athlon II X2 240 Regor two.8GHz Socket AM3 65W Dual-Core ASRock N68C-S UCC AM3/AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a ASUS 24X Burner Black SATA Model DRW-24B3LTSeagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST31000528AS 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Rosewill DESTROYER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer CaseFor a affordable 64 bit process you just can't beat it. Asrock good quality appears to be fairly very good as nicely. By way of audio chhipset. I would much prefer realtek as I never ever seriously have any concerns with their drivers. That being said, I didn't really have any issues with win 7 64 bit drivers. Like I said in a preceding assessment, Windows media center XP drivers are problematic with this board. I would steer clear of it if that is the OS you program on working with. If you nevertheless go down that path DO NOT install service pack 3! 1000MHz front side bus, not really a big matter but 2000MHz or much better would be much more desirable... For the price of this board though I don't know if I could really say that's a con. Like I mentioned, this is a great function wealthy board for less that โ. Do make note that it has separate slots for ddr2 and ddr3 and DDR3 is only supported with an AM3 processor. I consider I read somewhere that ASUS owns Asrock. Though they are not really asus excellent it does seem to be excellent.
