Board DOA
Comment:
Had to return the mobo because it would not post. Tried many things I found on the web on how to get it to post but it just wouldn't work. My new board should arrive today and I will change the performance score after it does. That is if I can get it to work.

Love this Board
Comment:
I am a fan of ASUS motherboards. It has so many options that it is a good way to go. I needed extra PCI ports, that is one reason for this choice. I'm running a AMD Phenom II 3.2 and 8gb of memory on it and had a fairly easy install. ASUS customer service is slow to respond and hard to navigate the site to get help and don't supply much help in their replies. But that doesn't mean the board is bad. This was my first full build and was having two problems of the motherboard recognizing the drives and then setting up RAID. But with forums I got it running and very happy with it. So it isn't all ASUS fault for my problems. Very Happy with my choice.

Absolutely Great Motherboard
Comment:
I have this motherboard with an AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2 GHZ cpu installed. This board rocks, easily set up, and has a great number of features for those who wish to overclock. If you can read a manual at all, you can install everything and get it up and running quickly. I put the entire computer together and was up and running in about 2 hours.

Gr8 mother board
Comment:
It worked rite out of the box 1st time. Only problem, I have dual monitors one is 24 inch which crossfire drew a 1 inch border around it thus losing space, the other monitor wouldn't even configure with the crossfire software. Got rid of crossfire and put in my Nvidia GE9500 and both monitors are running just fine. This mobo flies.

ASUS is the best!
Comment:
Always been an ASUS fan, and never purchased any other MB product from any other manufacturer. Why? Because they produce a top quality product that I have never had any problems with. Bought this as a combo with AMD 955 Black CPU. Runs flawlessly and plenty of overclocking options.

Good MoBo, Try getting Utils to work with Win-7
Comment:
Physical installation was a cinch and done in minutes. I coupled the mobo with the Phenom II 955 BE and 4 gig DDR3 memory. Many of the included mobo drivers err on BOOT; error: can not open AsIO.sys-2, even after updating. The mobo Tech Support has not yet found an answer for the problem, do a web search on this error. Otherwise great mobo.

Clean build
Comment:
Got this board to build a completely new computer, case and all. I thought I got an AM3 socket processor to go with it, so I had to wait for a truly AM3 processor. After that it was a clean and simple build and install. The only problem so far, and I'm not sure this isn't a software problem, is that it tends to hang when left on for several hours.

Seems to run fine. Also have a lot of slots you can add stuff in the feature. Thats why i bought this for the money.

Good board
Comment:
I got this with a 955 Black Edition processor. Don't forget to flash the BIOS as soon as you get Windows (or other operating system) up and running. (I know most of you may already know that, but it is easy to forget when you are excited about playing on your new toy.) My system was a little unstable until I did that. Works great now. The overclocking settings make it easy for a novice like me to easily change them. You can actually change things within Windows. Also, don't forget to install the Apps from the disk and not just the drivers. They have nice overclocking apps, and system monitoring apps.

Works OK ... lousy documentation
Comment:
I installed this with a Phenom II 965 and it works fine. The so-called manual and drivers program that came with the last two Asus boards I recently purchased are awful and I usually have no problem installing mb's. I installed Windows 7 on this board and it found all the drivers automatically thank goodness.

ASUS M4A78T-E ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:- None that I can see

Pros:- Good features for the price- Solid and reliable
Comment:
I purchased this to go along with a Phenom II 955 BE and am happy I did. I needed to manually set the ram timing for the OCZ sticks that I had but haven't had any other issues. Haven't used the overclocking features yet but may in the future.

Highly Recommend
Comment:
This motherboard is probably one of the most reasonable AM3's out there. It provides all the features you need at an affordable price. As long as you don't need 3-way Crossfire, this is an excellent choice for the step up to AM3.

Good price for the product
Comment:
I have used this company for other computing products and have always been satisfied. I used this motherboard to build a machine that would replace our family computer (5-year old Emachine W3400). It also needed to be able to edit HD video and do the rendering to DVD in a timely manner. I'm not doing a lot of video editing yet but the MB is fast without overclocking and does the job well. No issues to date with an AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition. Would recommend this combo to anyone wanting a solid reasonably fast pc. Not the fastest but I don't need that.

So Far So Good
Comment:
Easy to install and the instuction booklet was very vague. I have experience with computer so it was simple. The manual is a basic one for all ASUS motherboards and some things are not covered in it. Other than that it runs great!

Great motherboard
Comment:
The ASUS M4A78T-E is great. The Drivers CD is loaded with great programs for over clocking and general maintenance. The included Express Gate OS is very simple and very convenient. The only issue I had is that the RAM spaces are a little close to the motherboard. Choose between 4 RAM cards and a small CPU cooler or two RAM cards and a big CPU cooler..

Full-featured and bonus features!
Comment:
Used this motherboard in an AMD Phenom II X4 build along with an ultra 750 psu and cooler master centurion 5 case. Awesome mobo - no troubles. The extra case fan connectors on the board make cable management a breeze and the ASUS Express Gate software is very cool - it allow you to bypass whatever OS you have and go directly to the web at boot time in about 3 seconds.

Had no problem installing this feature rich motherboard. I am going to pick up another hard disk and use the RAID mirroring feature so I do not have to keep backing up my hard disk. I did have to add a better video card to play my MMO games in very high resolution.

Perfect package
Comment:
I bought this motherboard as part of a combo deal with the AMD Phenom II X 965 Black Edition AM3 CPU and Corsair XMS3 4096MB PC10600 DDR3 1333MHz (2x2048); this was a very easy install and it works like a dream. no issue's at all with the package ! if you are looking for a good system upgrade, I highly recommend it. I use this machine for WoW and its got plenty of power to spare with all settings maxed out.

Quality Product,Great Performance
Comment:
Great product, sets up and functions great. Incredibly faster than the old motherboard I replaced. Be aware that it only has 1 IDE connector so if you are upgrading an old PC with more that 2 IDE components you will need and adapter card which I found for $10.

This Board Can Turn Your Dual Core Into A Quad.
Comment:
let me just mention to everybody. if you buy one of the phenom II black edition dual core processors ( IE. Phenom II 550 )and use this board you can unlock the other 2 cores that amd disabled to make it a true quad core at the price of a dual core. Don't believe me? google it. Its the real deal. Just By Using ACC Setings And Unleash Mode In The BIOS.

Good mobo
Comment:
Every thing worked with out any problems very good instruction and esy to set up Had a windows 7 issue where the install would freeze and could not find disks after hours of messing around in the bios and with windows setup i changed the SATA cables and it worked I used the one that came with my drives instead of the ones that came with the board (cheap cables)? use the one that come with your drive not the ones packed in the mother board box!
